Wow, first review! No pressure, right? I really, really wish I would have had a resource like this when I gave birth to my son. Instead of still dealing with issues years later (and repeatedly being told to just do kegels), maybe things would be back to the way they are supposed to be. How come no one ever talks to you about how to rebuild after pregnancy? We are just told that things will get back to normal if we do some gentle exercise and kegels. This book flips that on its ear by showing us what we really need to do to help our bodies get back to normal. I am excited to share this with other moms I know, and feel like it will be an indispensable tool as I work forward to rebuilding my body. She gives good examples and guides of how to do the exercises she is describing, although a few more pictures would have been great in my opinion. I also like that she gives us a lesson in anatomy first, helping us understand how our pelvic floor works so that we understand why we need to do what she is telling us to do later in the book. I gave the book 4 stars because of her chapter on sex. My views and her views do not mesh, and I don't appreciate how she approached the topic. Other than that, I loved the book, and in spite of that, I will still be recommending this book to all moms looking to rebuild after pregnancy.
