His Human Rebel is a standalone and is part of the Zandian Masters series. You can read the books out of order. I would read the first book first though because it has the Prince and he’s pretty important, but this is mostly Lundric and Cambry’s story.

The series is hit or miss with me and with this one it was a hit. I liked the fact that the Hero chased the Heroine and I liked that he is a guard and he gave her special treatment.

Cambry is a human refugee and she only has one thing on her mind, to save her brother, she just needs to learn how to fly a ship in order to do that.

I didn’t really like the storyline of the Heroine having a secret and an alterative motive, if this wasn’t a smutty book or long, it would have bothered me a lot, but since it was a short read, it wasn’t so bad. I just don’t like that kind of plot ya know?

I did enjoy the interactions between Cambry and Lundric. I really liked Lundric he just seemed really honorable and sweet.

Overall, great series.

I've only read book 1 and now this book and I like the progress this series had made. Book one was a bit rough for me because I didn't love how Prince Zander treated Lamira, but she started out as his slave. It makes since that he didn't treat her the best from the beginning before he truly fell for her.

By the time we get to this book, #4 in the series, The Zandian race treat humans much better. I especially enjoyed this couple because Lundric was smitten with Cambry from the start. It didn't take him long to feel possessive of Cambry and he treated her so sweetly. This was a great couple to read about. ARC provided by NetGalley.

Lundric was probably the most likeable of the Zandians so far. All his slips were because he had seen his superiors threat the human women as slaves. But once he was shown that this is not acceptable behaviour he quickly put it aside. I felt really bad for what he'd suffered as a child and could totally understand this fear of abandonment.

Cambry was also a great female lead and I liked that she didn't let her hormones lead her. For someone who's been raised the way she had been her inability to trust is completely normal. The plot relied on the old and tried thrope of failure of communications. Sure, it's a cliche but it's a cliche for a reason and as I see this happening with so many couples around me I can't really bitch about it. I hope we get a Tal book eventually since he was introduced here and seems to have some potential.

Now here I am back with my guilty pleasure Sci-Fi Alien smut (rubbing hands together in glee)
So this is the second book In Renee Rose's Zandian Masters series I have devoured.
I previously read book one on Kindle Unlimited.
This is actually book four, but it's very easy to catch up so that wasn't an issue at all.
So in this instalment things have progressed slightly, the Aliens no longer see the humans as inferior beings and after intercepting a death pod full of humans the zandian's have conscripted the humans into their new army offering them freedom in exchange for service.
Cambry (love that name, so unusual) is one such human, she's on the pod after killing three guards in an attempted escape from the factory.
Lundric a zandian captain takes a shine to our girl and decides he wants her for his own.
As usual Renee Rose turns up the heat with her erotic spankings and graphic vecking.
His human Rebel is a lot more romantic and less the non-con that what we saw in book one.
But that doesn't stop this being off the hook when it comes to the spice factor.
So a description of our lovely Lundric, well as I said he is a captain in the Prince's army.
He is a much more likeable character than the prince was, so right from the start, you find yourself rooting for the large 7ft lovable purple alien with the sexy horns.
and he adores Cambry, just wants to take care of his little rebel.
Now Cambry is a much more complicated enigma, she trusts no one except her brother who she is determined to locate.
Cambry finds herself falling for the alien captain, but she also feels pulled in two with the compulsion to escape and rescue her brother.
right so my conclusion when it comes to His human rebel, well it was delightful escapism at its best. loved the characters, read this extremely fast, I actually enjoyed this instalment of the Zandian series a trifle more than the last one I read, mainly because I felt I connected more with the story this time round.
So if Sexy big purple horned aliens are your thing then give this a go, it was a very stimulating read.
Oh, and on a side note, this volume is a lot milder in terms of BDSM and discipline than its predecessor His Human Slave.
Can't speak for book two and three as haven't been there yet, but oh so planning to.
So If you want to dip your two rather than your whole body into this type of genre then this is so the volume for you in terms of intensity.

This is my favourite one so far! Not as intense as the previous novels in the BSDM department but with enough spanking sexy times to keep you satisfied!

Cambry is one of the rescued humans from the death pod and Lundric knew she was his from the moment he saw her. A trained army captain to the Zandians, Lundric wants Cambry to be his mate just like Prince Zander & Lamira and Rok & Lily but Cambry has her own plans. She is on a mission to rescue her younger brother Tal from the Ocretions and doesn't believe the Zandian's promise of freedom. The Zandians have promised all humans freedom as long as they choose to fight for Zandia. As far as Cambry is concerned, it is a death sentence either way and she doesn't owe Zandia anything until she gets involved with Lundric. Her personal mission has just become tougher, now that she is developing feelings for her Zandian warrior and he has become her most stalwart protector.

A great story for Lundric and Cambry! Lundric knew what he wanted and went after it and Cambry had some fire to her which I always enjoy in my heroines. This was an insta-love romance right from the start, which I found slightly hard to get into as I enjoy a lead up to the passion but it was well done nevertheless and the romance developed into something believable. Lundric being a lighter Dom than Prince Zander and Rok also made a nice change as I think I prefer Lundric over the others. Cambry proves at times she's a TSTL heroine and that annoyed me intensely but Lundric, of course, rescues her! We also get an insight of how the Zandians are progressing with their army and yes a small tease of the next upcoming story!

This is book 4 in the Zandian Masters series, this is a Sci Fi Romance with plenty of sex thrown in. I also enjoy that a 7ft male with horns wanting to mate me is one of my fantasies, the author captures this perfectly for me. I had to have a cold shower after this one.
Cambry has been a slave in a factory, and then sentence to death when she and the others humans were rescued by the Zandians. Cambry doesn’t trust anyone, and when Lundric a Zandian guard tries to make her feel safe she keeps waiting for the other shoe to drop.
After plenty of action in and out of the bedroom we finally get their Hea.Without giving anything away all the books follow on from each other, but each couple get their own story, as with the others in the series there is plenty of spanking and other alpha sexual favours Lundric wants to do to his Human mate. So now I have to go back and catch on the ones I missed.

Another deliciously fun installment in Renee Rose's Zandian Masters series. This one takes place away from the palatial pod where Lamira and Zander live, so we don't see much of these characters. Instead we are on the recently freed, mostly human, prison where everyone was sentenced to death. After a lifetime of abuse and precious little joy, Cambry (a human) has a very difficult time believing the Zambians don't mean them harm.

This story wasn't as sexually dark as the first, although there was some violence. Both Cambry and Lundric were very likeable characters. I generally don't care for the plot device used in this story, when secrets are kept past when it makes sense to do so, but it worked pretty well in this case. What made it more acceptable for me was the misunderstanding/miscommunication portion wasn't dragged out. The characters reacted realistically within the story told. And, as always, there were several lovely, and very erotic, spanking scenes - both for fun and punishment.

The next story promises to be a heavier non-consensual story, and looks to involve the rather horrifying and amusing Zandian doctor who put all this in motion. That should be fun!

Too old fashioned and prudish for me. This book was published in April 2017. Anal sex was used as a punishment and as an inferior second choice. I didn't like that anal play was given a negative connotation. Blowjobs were missing from the story even though the Hero fantasized about them. The Hero did give the heroine oral sex though.

Cambry stole a ship and tried to escape to look for her brother, endangering the whole group. Lundric punished her by spanking her with his belt. When Cambry offered vaginal sex, he told her that she did not did deserve his cock. He then ***'d her in the ass. This couple did not have a prior history of anal sex nor anal play.

The story was very good but I didn't like the implied sexual morality in it. I borrowed this book through KU, otherwise I would have returned it for a refund.

Loved this book and may re-read soon. This is Renee Rose at her best. I've enjoyed this book the most in this series of the four so far.
Surprisingly, there was less kink in this one, less overall BDSM. Still, there is nice spanking and super sex scenes.
The heroine, Cambry, is just okay, but Lundric is a definite book boyfriend, purple skin, horns and all. The story is fast and has action. This series just keeps getting better.

This is the fourth book in this series and it still packs in some good stuff. It was a little lighter on the spanking/dominance side compared to the other books but it was still pretty good. I liked the build of the overall story of the series. I felt it's an interesting story but didn't take up too much time if you weren't familiar with the other books in the series.

Cambry has led an oppressed life of slavery. On her final ride on the death ship; she is suddenly captured by the Zandians. Along with the fellow passengers on the death ship; all may not be lost because their help is needed in a fight that may lead to a dream land. Lundric a Zandian warrior cannot take his eyes or his protection from Cambry. Hard choices have to be made that may lead to this couple's heart ache. Love paths fork but eventually merge again. Cambry was one of the refugees aboard the death pod and now that the Zandians have taken control they are no longer prisoners. The Zandians want to train them to help them fight. Lundric is one of the Zandian guards and he takes a special interest in Cambry. The Zandians have been using the human women to breed since they have lost a lot of their own females. Some have taken human women as sex slaves, but Lundric doesn't wish to take Cambry like this, he wants her to be his mate always and for her to want this. Cambry wants to leave to rescue her brother Tal but is torn by her desire for Lundric. Can she find a way to be happy or will she refuse to let go of her brother? This is quick read with an enjoyable story. If you like spanking stories then this is a series for you.

Side note: Gotta say this one is probably my second favorite. He reminded me of a much more charming, much more loveable less hard around the edges version of the Prince/King. Plus, every time called her "little human" my heart effing swelled. I LOVED HIM! She was fun too. Her attitude, her determination, and her overall understanding of how it's a choice, but not a choice, situation. The action. The moment where everything goes to hell...ALL OF IT was so well done and executed. This series is solid and this book seriously did a fantastic job of having love meet dominance is the most delicious way.

Meet Cambry, a sassy heroine, on a spaceship. She´s a human slave. A guardian - Lundric- is smitten with her. He wants her for his own, to breed her and as his own human to possess. Yep. Cambry gets attacked, Lundric rescues her. There is more danger and Cambry stupidly endangers herself again. I was so angry at her.
There is a strong hero, a sassy heroine, enemies and scorching hot sex.

I never imagined I would ever enjoy an alien romance story, but I got a free copy of one of Renee Rose's earlier books, and she made me a believer!

This is a really enjoyable series, and this may have been one of my favorites! Cambry was a great heroine, she was brave and spunky, and knew how to defend herself! And Lundric was kind of a sweetie, for a huge, alpha, dominating alien male! LOL Renee Rose always gives us the perfect amount of kink with her romances, which I love!

Cambry was feisty whereas, Lundric was strong, dominant and sexy as hell. These two had phenomenal chemistry - it was intense yet passionate.

There was a small element of BDSM and some discipline spanking/whipping.

I really enjoyed this book; the characters were great and the story had my heart racing.

After ending rescued in the last book by Rok and Lily she and her two fellow humans have been trying to fly and fight in Zandian's war. But she quickly catches the attention of a guard. Renee Rose is my secret indulgence. I tend to be the D in the D/s but Ms. Rose has such a talent for showing us both sides of the relationship, of the love affair, you can't help but turn page after page. Of course it doesn't hurt that her writing is enough to melt your kindle and make you sweat bullets.

While I have only read the first of the Zandian stories, I was able to jump right in to the 4th without much background. Cambry, the female lead, is a strong warrior woman, not willing to trust anyone because of her past. This is laid out so well in the start of the story as is the instant draw that her hero Lundric feels for her.

The struggle of the beings – because there are more than Zandians and Humans in the pod – to fight for their freedom is also well laid out. We understand their urge to regain their freedom and their homeland.

As I said the love scenes and the naughty bits are hot enough, your e-reader will melt, not only from the sexiness but from the passion and love between the two.

The tension that builds as they both want to declare their love, to marry/mate but are too afraid of rejection is like the ultimate slingshot.

This is the third book I've had the pleasure of reading and my husband has had the pleasure of having me read, and I can only say they get better each time.

Since I already met the hot-and-steamy way of writing of Renee Rose in Her Alien Masters, I was happy to receive this review from Netgalley.

And yes, His human rebel is also hot-and-steamy. We meet Cambry, who was 'rescued' by the aliens the Zandians. But she is destined to help those Zandians on a suicide mission to recapture their planet. Cambry, however, has plans of her own. She wants to escape from the spaceship and track down her brother, who was also captured, but by a different species.

Lundric, a Zandian's guard has his eyes set on Cambry. He likes the feisty redhead and he decided to make her his own. While sparks (and spanks) are flying, Lundric doesn't realize that Cambry is just biding her time to escape.

To Cambry, the lines between playing along with the dark and handsome Zandian and actually falling for the big lug are blurring. Is it only physical attraction and his dominance in bed which attract her? Or did he actually steal her heart? And what will Lundric do, when she escapes?

I guess you have to find out for yourself. For me, it was a nice read. However, for some reason I couldn't connect to Cambry and Lundric, the way I connected to Mira, Jakk and Gav'n from Her Alien Masters.

Therefore, three out of five stars from me.

Fourth in a well-written series of male alien master/female human slave stories, this one features a more common soldier rather than aristocracy, as well as the most delightful lead character so far.
Unlike the previous reasons for buying up humans, this time a whole bunch are brought in from a jail to help the war effort. And in fact Cambry does learn to fly, but once Lundric has her in his sights that becomes secondary. . . though she does have a hidden agenda of her own.
There’s a formula to these dominance erotica stories, so I don’t worry about the plot too much. The guys almost always act like entitled Neanderthals, so it’s the female protagonist that will make or break a book. There’s some similarities in them as well, as they start out feisty and learn to love, or at least obey. But the women are sufficiently different to make them unique and entertaining.
In this case Cambry’s pretty awesome, my fave of all the ladies in this series, and that’s saying a lot. Too bad her trust issues keep her from being honest with him—not that he’s earned it, but still—but that’s the way of most romance novels, even the sci-fi erotic ones. Lundric’s even more Neanderthal than most, especially at the beginning, but if she taught him to treat people better then I guess her “sacrifice” was worth it.

His Human Rebel by Renee Rose is the fourth book in the Zandian Masters series. This is my first time reading the series and I was not lost at all. There is a good engaging story arc to this one. I really would want to read more as well in the future.
Cambry is with 200 human refugees. She is terrified. Bonding with strangers was not her thing. So she had not formed a group for protection. She could protect herself. She is 23 years old and a slave. She is street smart and has a younger brother named Tal. She is brave, smart, and able to take care of herself.
Lundric has been fascinated by Cambry. The minute he saw her he knew she was the one for him. He wants to protect her so he gives her a dagger. He has been raised to believe that humans are weak and inferior. He has seen others of his kind take humans for mates. That is when he decides he will do that with Cambry. He is a captain and wants roots, family, and a home.
This is a pretty good action packed story. I liked the chemistry and evolution of the characters. They are very engaging and I found myself really invested in them. Over all I would read more from this series and this author in the future.

I adored the love story between the alien Lundric and the human (former slave) Cambry. He is a strong male in a position of leadership, but the great part is that Cambry is just as strong. It was nice to see two dominant, head-strong main characters, and as you can imagine, that leads to a little exciting tension. I could not wait to see if Cambry could learn to trust after everything she had been through as a slave.

The world created in the Zandian Masters Series is absolutely astounding. I could not learn enough about the Zandian species. I would love to see more in depth books on this world Renee Rose has created. The supporting character interaction left me wanting more, which tells me I'm going to have to go back and read the first 3 novels. I am definitely looking forward to reading more.

Have listened to the audio rendition and boy is it Hot!!! Another one of the series where the Zandian warrior is attrated to a human female, this being one of the slaves that had been saved from death on the ship that was rescued in the last book. Thr humans are wary of the Zandians, not understanding that this race does not believe in owning their own slaves.The Zandian warrior, Landric cannot bear to see the tension in Cambry, the fiercely independent human female, but she is suspecting some ultra motive for his kindness to her. Besides, she needs to find her brother, so she must find a way to escape! !
Sorry, don't want to give too much away. It is worth reading or if you like sexy deep male voices, the reader of the audiobook is super hot!!!
