From the Author: **** PLEASE NOTE THIS STORY FOLLOWS ON AFTER BOOK 12 IN THE SERIES. IT SHOULD NOT BE READ AS A PREQUEL.
David Kane’s completely gripping origin story. Find out how he went from Black Ops to Black Rock Falls in this short 150-page read you won’t be able to put down.
She pulls the door of her office closed and hurries over to her beaten-up old Toyota parked in a deserted alley. Slipping into the driver’s seat, she checks the rear-view mirror, and her heart stops. Staring back at her are the dark eyes of a stranger. She opens her mouth to scream, but it’s already too late…
When secretary Annie Parkes is snatched from the street outside of her workplace, David Kane is tasked with finding her. Strong, highly skilled, and secretive, he’s a loner and an outsider; the only man the military trust to find Annie before her kidnappers make good on their promise to kill her.
But as Kane pulls Annie from a derelict building, gunshots ringing through the deserted streets around them, he realizes rescuing her is just the beginning. He needs to keep her close to find out who is behind her capture, and to keep her safe.
Hiding out in a remote part of town, Kane feels the walls he put up around himself many years ago begin to slip in front of Annie. Could she be more than just a job? With an old enemy hot on his tail, showing any weakness could be fatal—but when Annie is dragged back into danger once again, could he already be too late?
When secretary Annie Parkes is snatches from the street outside her workplace, David Kane is tasked with finding her. Strong, highly skilled and secretive, he's a loner and an outsider; the only man the military trusts to find Annie before the kidnappers makegood on their promise to kill her.
Finally we get to hear David Kane's backstory in this well written and intriguing prequel. We learn in great detail how Dave and Annie met and fell in love, and how Dave ends up working alongside Jenna Alton. Wolfe also gets a mention a few times. This short novella shows us why Dave is so protective of the people he cares about. I loved learning about Dave's backstory and I'm looking forward to reading Jenna's backstory now.
I would like to thank #NetGalley #Bookouture and the author #DKHood for my ARC of #LoseYourBreath in exchange for an honest review.
It was wonderful to learn more about Dave Kane and his journey from being a special forces sniper o working with Jenna in Black Rock Falls. This is the story of how he met Annie and came to work in the secret service.
It is an action packed novella with a heartbreaking loss. If you have read the series you know how it ends but it was incredibly sad. I loved seeing how I his bond with his handler Terabyte, AKA Shane Wolfe. I look forward to reading Jenna’s back story now.
Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for my advanced copy of this book I o read.
I read this after finishing book (I think) 23 as I wanted to know a bit more about Dave Kane's past and this delivered. A short 150pages of his history, with quite a bit of action and romance. It also tells us more about his handler. Glad I came back to this and am undecided on if I will also read books 1-20ish or whatever came before I started the series, as loving D.K. Hood's work. I wish this also showed us how Dave and his handler ended up meeting! If you know which novel this is in, please let me know :)
Lose Your Breath by D.K. Hood is the prequel to the Detectives Kane and Alton series, and it deals with Dave Kane's backstory, and how he arrived in Black Rock Falls. Note that it is fairly short.
My Synopsis: (No major reveals, but if concerned, skip to My Opinions) Black-Ops Sniper Ninety-eight H (later to become Dave Kane) is completing a mission in Syria, when he is ordered to rescue Annie Parkes. This is not his normal job, and he's a little annoyed, but he follows the orders of his handler TeraByte (Shane Wolfe).
Annie is the daughter of a US General, who was working in the Embassy in Israel. Her kidnappers assume her father will do anything to save her. However, when they discover that the US does not negotiate with terrorists, they decide to sell her to the highest bidder.
Dave steps in, and they race across the desert to try and meet up with a helicopter who will evacuate them. It's a good thing that Annie is tougher than she looks.
My Opinions: First, if you have read the series, you will already know some of the things that happen in this book, but it is still a good read, because you will learn so much more.
This was much more interesting than I had anticipated. Truth be told, I put off reading this, but now that Jenna's back-story is coming out, I thought it may be time to look into Dave's past.
I was pleased to find that it was also Annie's story, as well as a bit of Shane's.
The dialogue in this one left a lot to be desired...very stilted.
As well, I was hoping that this book would somehow endear me to Kane. I have always considered him arrogant, and I've never seen him treat a woman as his equal, so I really hoped this would change my opinion of him. It hasn't. Apparently he was always the overly-protective male who has to save the damsel in distress, and tell her what to do (this time his future wife). Even when he was offered a new job in Black Rock Falls, he just assumed he would become the new sheriff.
However, it is a short, fast and entertaining read....and my problem with Dave Kane should probably be ignored. You will note that I am still reading this series....as I've said before, the plots are always good. This one was superb. If you are a fan of the series, this is a must read.

The fans of this existing series will love this one. It answers the question .... what's the truth behind Deputy David Kane's secret past. we follow him as he goes from Black Ops to Black Rock Falls.
It starts with Annie Parkes. Leaving her office, she is abducted. David Kane is tasked with finding her. Strong, highly skilled, and secretive, he’s a loner and an outsider; the only man the military trust to find Annie before her kidnappers make good on their promise to kill her.
It's a harrowing journey once he locates where she is being held. The two of them dodge bullets, hide in abandoned buildings, and hope and pray the friendlies don't report them.
It's only 2 years later that David's old enemy rears his ugly head... once again putting Annie .. his now wife ... in danger.
As all the books in this series, it is well-written, fulled of action-packed suspense leading to an unexpected conclusion. Less than 200 pages this is a fast read. The author has managed to pack a lot of action into this short story without making it feel incomplete.
Many thanks to the author / Bookouture /Netgalley for the digital copy of this crime fiction. Read and reviewed voluntarily, opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.
Oh god, this book broke me! I love Dave Kane and learning his backstory of him and Annie was just bittersweet as we already know the outcome. Although I do love that we found out what Dave did when he went away with Shane and I love how Dave got his name!!
I still want a backstory for Shane but I loved that he featured so heavily in this. Again, all bring us to Kane and Alton finally meeting.
I love Annie, I am so in Annie camp. I didn’t expect to cry as I did. I had to put it down a couple of times because the scenario with Dave and Annie was tough to read. It was dark, but light, and damn near frightening. Then when we see other things about Dave and his past, his family, well god that was sad too.
It sounds like this book is all sad, but it’s not. We have been given a gift, a gift of seeing Dave with Annie. We meet her, we watch their love and it was magical. I feel like I have been let in on a secret and it’s not one I will take for granted. I already miss Annie!
I loved this short story and seeing it behind the scenes. It worked and when you love a series as much as I love this one, then I will lap up all the stories I can get! Thank you Ms Hood for this!!!
Lose Your Breath is the prequel to the Detective Dave Kane and Jenna Alton series and is a short novel that tells the story of how Kane came to live and work in Black Rock Falls, Montana and his crazy backstory. As a former special force’s sniper, Kane, the operative known as Ninety-Eight H, worked his way up the ladder to become a protector of POTUS and part of the investigative side of the Secret Service. Six years ago he had been on a mission in Syria when his handler Shane Wolfe, known as Terabyte, had diverted him to another mission altogether. Annie Parkes the daughter of prominent US General Parkes had been abducted by militants and may be sold into slavery if she cannot be located and rescued, so Kane must do everything in his power to find her and bring her home safe. She was kidnapped outside the US Embassy in Jerusalem, Israel, where she worked, by a man who pressed a gun against her head and told her to drive; then she vanished.
That is until Kane heroically finds and rescues her. The rest of the story details Shane’s attempts to covertly sneak both Annie and Kane across the border. Kane and Annie then end up falling in love, getting married and living a happy life until tragedy strikes. This is a compelling novella that not only has plenty of action but also builds Kane’s character by digging up and presenting his past to illustrate how he became the man he is today. At its heart, it's an action thriller with a love story at its centre, and although only 150 pages in length, it packs a powerful punch. It's captivating and emotional, but it is also fraught with danger and as they try to escape Israel unnoticed the tension is ramped up to a palpable level. Dramatic, pacy and full of both excitement and peril, you'll have a hard time putting this down and will go through a gamut of emotions as you progress through the story. I would love to see a similar book to explain Jenna’s backstory, too. Highly recommended.
Lose Your Breath is book twelve—five in the Detectives Kane and Alton series by D. K. Hood. David Kane had a new role to protect secretary Annie Parkes. When he helped her escape a derelict building, he realised this was the start of his protection of Annie. Will David and Annie find love, or will Annie's enemy capture her again? Readers will continue to follow David Kane and Annie Parkes to discover what happens.
Lose Your Breath is an excellent short story that helped me understand Deputy DaKane's story. I engaged with this book from the first page and kept reading to the end. The reason for this is D.H. Lawrence's writing style, which always keeps me engaged in her books, and Lose Your Breath kept up the tradition.
I enjoy the way D. K. Hood portrays her characters and their interactions throughout this book. Lose Your Breath by D. K. Hood is well written and researched. I like D.Hood's descriptions of the settings in Lose Your Breath, which let me imagine being part of the story.
Lose Your Breath is the prequel to D.K. Hood's Detective Dave Kane and Jenna Alton series. It is Dave Kane's backstory and fans will enthuse over this telling of how and why he ended up in Black Rock Falls with Jenna. This novella is full of action, suspense and heartbreaking romance and it fills in the reader on how he met his wife, Annie Parkes. I am now eagerly awaiting the next book in the series and Jenna’s backstory. A pacy, powerful read.
I received a complimentary copy of this novel at my request from Bookouture via NetGalley. This review is my own unbiased opinion.
I would like to thank Netgalley and Bookouture for an advance copy of Lose Your Breath, a prequel to the Kane and Alton series which explores Dave Kane’s backstory and how he came to Black Rock Falls, the Montana town he now calls home.
Six years ago Kane, not his real name, is in Syria when he is diverted from duties as a sniper to rescue General Parkes’s daughter Annie who has been kidnapped outside the embassy in Tel Aviv.
I thoroughly enjoyed Lose Your Breath which is a mixture of a love story and high octane action. It is not a long novel, more a novella, but, boy, does it pack a punch. It starts with danger and adversity during their daring escape from Syria, middles with love and heartbreak and ends optimistically on fresh beginnings. And throughout it all Dave Kane lives with the threat of death at any minute, which definitely ratchets up the tension.
I have no idea if all the security procedures around him are even possible or if the author is giving free rein to her imagination, but whichever they are fun and Kane’s unbelievable (in a good sense) backstory from before he met Annie will make me look at him in a different light. I hope Jenna is next for the treatment.
Lose Your Breath is a short, fun read that I have no hesitation in recommending.
Being a sniper wasn't a job that surrounded you with friends and acquaintances but operative Ninety-eight-H had got used to that and he wasn't very sociable anyway! When he is pulled from an only partly successful mission to find and rescue a recently kidnapped American citizen he isn’t impressed. He is however used to following orders and soon finds himself on the trail of the young woman who unbeknownst to him is about to change his life.
This is a novel you get the feeling D.K. Hood has been itching to write since book one in the excellent Detectives Kane and Alton series! For those familiar with this set of novels some of the storyline is already known but this definitely fleshes everything out even though it is only 150 pages long.
I am not a big fan of military fiction but it was vital here to show how and why Dave Kane became the man Sheriff Jenna Alton and Black Rock Falls have come to rely on. Even with some idea of what would happen it was a pleasure to read from start to finish. I selfishly hope we will get similar storylines covering both Jenna and Shane Wolfe either in the shortened format or as part of a full length novel.
I was able to read an advanced copy of this book thanks to NetGalley and the publishers. Although short this has made the series even more of a favourite and I loved it.
For everyone who has read this series, the author takes you back in Kane’s life during his time in Black ops. He finished a mission but is sent out again because of a kidnapping; this is where he first meets Annie. He gets her out of one place but it is one tense spot to the next. You see how he and Annie must work together at times just to stay alive and she gets to see him work and where she was once afraid becomes respectful then she falls in love. Dave never wanted or thought he could be with anyone until after meeting Annie and when they finally finish the mission they still are together. It would be later when a chance encounter happens and then they are together. That is until a man who was not taking no for an answer decided to end that. You also get a background with Wolf and how Kane ended up working with Jenna. Overall an excellent story to go along with all of the other books in this series, a very good read. I received this book from Netgalley.com I gave it 5 stars.
Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley, too, For my copy of this book, here's my honest review:
This is a superb prequel to the series of crime thrillers Featuring Detectives Kane and Alton seeking killers. This time it is the backstory of Kane Sharing his past, explaining his pain.
He was a sniper, working in a US black ops team, When all goes wrong, making it a nightmare, not a dream. Instead of being rescued and brought out To rescue a kidnap victim is his next shout.
With militants around, everywhere there's danger Can he locate and rescue this total stranger? This is an action-packed, fast paced read Where keeping a cool head and having skills is what he will need.
Believable characters and an emotive plot Together make this a read I really liked a lot. It gives an insight into this character's life and so I hope you'll make time to give it a go!
Personally, to Black Rock Falls I can't wait to return To follow their next cases and about them both to learn. This story helps readers to understand more About what Kane went through before.
Just how much turmoil and grief with rays of sunshine can one man stand? I have read this series, I am addicted to the series, but I was hesitant to read the back story. I have issues that way. I should have known D.K. Hood wouldn't let me down. This is the first time I have read a back story that did not ruin the series, that actually made me care for one of the main characters (Dave Kane) even more, and lets be honest we all love Dave Kane. Though I think Terrabyte is chipping on my heart strings, Sorry I digress. Read the book. It is short and packs a punch. It is emotional, scary, bad guys and sweet Annie with her own strength being there for our Dave. This book is a win all the way around. Its a read in one sitting that pulls on your heart, has your breath racing as the bad guys are popping out and provide smiles, and yes, grab the kleenex. Thank you D.K. Hood, Bookouture and Netgalley for the arc. I freely volunteer my thoughts and opinions.
I’m a huge fan of the Kane and Alton series and this prequel is absolutely brilliant. We find out how Dave met Annie and how it all comes to a heartbreaking end for them. We’ve had snippets of information from the series of books but this is a real eye opener. Kane is a focussed killer and protecting Annie is his mission. He didn’t expect to fall in love with her. I liked the description Wolfe gave of the job in Black Rock Falls, and know now that this is the perfect place for Kane. I can’t wait to read the Jenna prequel that’s being written too. This is a must read for readers of the Kane and Alton series. Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.
Lose your Break – no kidding when reviewers said “you can’t put it down” they are completely right! I love the Kane and Alton series, and the veil of mystery that surrounds the background of the detectives, and this was a little peek into what makes Dave Kane, Dave Kane, and makes me like Wolfe even more. You don’t have to have read the books in the series to read this one, but you will want to read them after!
A short but revealing prequel to the Black Rocks series and it helps explain why Dave is so protective not just of Jenna but of everyone else he cares for. I’m looking forward to reading the story of Jenna before her life changed and what makes her act and think how she does.
Wow this author never disappoints. I absolutely love this series, with each book better than the last. Heart-racingly thrilling and fast paced this was a brilliant read that I just couldn't put down.
This is one novella I have been anxiously waiting for. To find out more about one of my favourite characters David Kane. This deals more with his past before he became a deputy and met Jenna.
The first part had me with chills as you are finally going to find out more and the writing was magestic. I have long wondered about Annie and his work life before his move to Black Rock Falls
Again in this you see the stubbornness of Dave. He is who he is and you still see protectiveness as well as his usual brash attitude.
Annie is also fun to read about as she seems to be a lot more independent than what I ever thought. She may be scared but she has a great ability to not show it.
With Shane showing up you could see so much that is good about him. I love the fact that he shows a lot more of the personality ways. It was breaking my heart reading about him and his life.
The story was so well thought out and the pace was amazing. While the book is shorter than what I am used to from this author it shows a great ability to work with a character who definitely has changed based on the books. Going back and showing a less refined character than what he is in the later books had to be hard and it is a great accomplishment to show a regression of Dave.
The story made me feel great fear for both Dave and Annie and so much sympathy for Shane. It was hard to read as it was an emotional read that really hit all the spots for me.
I think that seeing Dave and Shane who are two of my favourite characters written. The author has such an amazing ability to make you feel that you are part of the family. I think that seeing a backstory makes the rest of the series more amazing than it already is as you get to understand the characters in a more intimate way.
The story is emotionally draining I felt like I was on a rollercoaster and I didn't know when or if I would ever want to get off. It is one of the best books I have read this year and it had such an amazing story that shows the true man that Dave Kane was and is.
This book was everything I had hoped it would be! If you want to know more of Kane's backstory and how he met his wife, Annie, then this book is an absolute must-read.
D.K. Hood has developed a strong series to date, as many of my reviews have helped show. While she has used full novels to delve into a number of topics, this is the first of two novellas that seek to explore backstories of the protagonists. While D.K. Hood warns not to read them as prequel stories, she does look to the past in order to explain the present. This piece is all about the life of Dave Kane, before he ever found his way to Black Rock Falls. In it, Kane is called into service to help exfiltrate the daughter of a high-ranking US official, after her kidnapping on the streets of Jerusalem. As Kane tries to work with the target, he realises that what he holds dear may have changed and that he wants a new and exciting life outside of the Secret Service and as a military sniper. Hood paints that picture well and provides the reader with a stellar short piece of writing.
After a long day of work, she leaves the office and rushes to her old vehicle, parked along a deserted street in Jerusalem. The US Embassy is a great place to work, but she loves the downtime too. When she looks up into the rearview mirror, she sees two eyes staring back at her. Before she can gasp, a man pulls her out of the vehicle and the time of horror begins.
Annie Parkes is missing and her father’s connection to POTUS makes finding her essential. Enter, David Kane, the pseudonym of a highly-trained operative with skills like no one else. His solitary nature makes him the ideal candidate, as no one will miss him should the mission fail. That said, this mission cannot fail and Annie must be saved before the kidnappers can kill her, as they promise to do.
While working to locate her, Kane finds himself feeling more than simply patriotic duty to help POTUS. When he locates her, Kane and Annie share a connection. Kane vows to protect her and to find out who has plotted the abduction. That will take time and determination, which Kane has always found useful.
What follows is a connection between Annie and Kane that defies a simple rescue. Their connection will pull them together, to the point that when tragedy strikes, Kane wonders if he can go on. Hood fills in many gaps for her protagonist in this great novella. A great addition to the series!
D.K. Hood has not stopped creating strong stories that are rich with action and series development. A powerful narrative offers the reader a rich story, filled with details that help to create a better understanding from Kane’s point of view. Well-paced writing keeps the reader hooked with what is taking place throughout.
Character development is key to the series’ success, which is helped with this piece. Dave Kane’s backstory is key to better understanding the man he is today and how his past wounds shape his future successes. While there is mention of Annie in passing throughout the series, Hood takes the time to offer a thorough explanation of Annie’s personal side and how Kane’s connection to her shapes his policing in Black Rock Falls.
The series relies on major twists and story arcs. Hood chooses backstory development, rather than plot twists, with this piece. There is an ongoing need to fill in gaps, which Hood addresses with ease. I enjoyed this piece, understanding why it is better not to treat it as a prequel piece. Rich with references that will add depth and flavoring to the ongoing series, I was happy to get this novella read as I delve deeper into the world of Kane and Alton. Another novel awaits me, so I can find out a little more.
Kudos, Madam Hood, with a nice break from the intense story writing the dozen novels have offered series fans.
Many, many thanks to Bookouture and DK Hood for the opportunity to read and review "Lose Your Breath", the 'origin story' of Dave Kane that we have all been holding our breaths for (see what I did there?). Those of us who have been loyal followers of the adventures of Dave Kane and Jenna Alton have been wondering how Deputy Kane got to Black Rock Falls, and exactly how his Annie died. This story answers all of our questions, AND takes us on a roller coaster of a ride. Annie Parkes, daughter of a United States General has been kidnapped by militants in Syria, and will soon most likely be sold into slavery by her captors - but not if the operative known as Ninety-Eight H has anything to say about it. In my mind, Ninety-Eight H (otherwise known as "Dave") is Jason Bourne on steroids - and he proves it time and time again as he not only rescues Annie from her captors, but shepherds her through peril after peril on their way back to civilization - all the while slowly falling in love! Back in the USA, Dave (for he's decided that its a name he's comfortable with) opts for a slightly less dangerous career as Secret Service protection for POTUS, as well as criminal investigator. But he knows, and Annie also knows, that there's a bounty on his head thanks to his many exploits in the Middle East. Annie and Dave Parkes (he takes her name, legally, so that his identity is further masked) are married and seem to have a happy life, when tragedy strikes again. As a result, Dave decides to make a clean break with his past and takes a position of Deputy to Sheriff Jenna Alton in Black Rock Falls, an area which seems to have more than its fair share of problems - not least of which is a former sheriff's cover up of many murders. Thus begins the adventures of Dave and Jenna (and, oh yeah, we're also introduced to Shane Wolfe - Ninety-Eight H's handler 'Terabyte' who will also play a large role in Black Rock Falls). This can be read as a standalone short story, and will definitely introduce the reader to Dave Kane the enigma, and should lead them to the mysteries. Now, we await the Jenna Alton origin story, Ms. Hood.
Thank you #NetGalley & #Bookouture for providing an ARC for #LoseYourBreath by #DKHood in exchange for a genuine review.
#LoseYourBreath is about Dave's rescue mission to bring back Annie home safely. It also shows the relationship between Dave and his handler Terabyte aka Shane Wolfe. This story tells about their action-filled adventure in Syria as they push through the militia-infiltrated area just to get Annie home. It also shows the readers that even a sniper with a heart of steel can fall in love and break his own rules.
This is the first book that I've read that was written by D.K. Hood and the first in this series. I didn't know that it was part of a very long series already. I think I would've had a better experience if I've read the previous books. This could work as a standalone but I guess because I didn't know about the other books I wasn't as invested in these characters as I should've been. I did like the way it was written and the thrilling chase that they've gone through in Syria. I felt like I was watching a movie - sort of like the Jason Bourne series or American Sniper sorta movie - or those types of movie. I recommend this book to everyone who loves action-packed adventure and suspense that is based on the military/war theme. Thanks again #Bookoutour and #Netgalley for providing a copy of this book.
Just WOW. I absolutely LOVED this book. I love a good series and the Kane & Alton series is one of my favourites. Some series are all about the plot and the characters simmer along in the background, but in this series the strength for me is in the characters and their intriguing, unusual backstories. That’s not to say the plots are weak, far from it, but the characters make them the great reads that they are for me. None of the ‘burnt out cops moved from the big cities with a cloud hanging over them’, the staple it seems to be these days. Oh no, these character’s backstories are way more interesting and original. This short prequel explains how Kane gets to be in Black Rock Falls. It’s a brilliant insight into his life and fleshes out the details on what’s already been alluded to and explains his sometimes tortured emotions. We also get to see some of another character Shane’s backstory too. Brilliantly written, I could smell the heat and the dust and feel the fear, as he rescues Annie an American National kidnapped Israel. I can’t remember the last time I stayed awake until 1am to finish a book. It deserves many more than five stars On its own this book is a cracking good read and would work perfectly as a standalone, and a great introduction to the series, which if you’ve not read I urge you to and I’m jealous of the fabulous binge read ahead of you
If you have not read the Kane and Alton series, this is your chance to find out how Deputy David Kane ended up in Black Rock Falls. As a Special Forces sniper, David was taxed with rescuing Annie Parkes, the daughter of General Parkes. Annie was working at the embassy in Israel when she was kidnapped. She was terrified until she was rescued by a man she came to know as Dave. All of his communication came from “Terabyte”, aka Shane Wolfe. Shane worked to get Dave and Annie out of the country while dealing with the impending death of his beloved wife. Full of suspense as they depend on “friendlies” to aide them in their dangerous trip to where a chopper would pick them up. Two years later there is still a bounty on his head as he once again meets Annie. Will they be safe or will evil reach into their lives once again? As I had read several books in the series, it was fascinating, yet sad to read Dave and Annie’s story. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)
So I’ve read a lot about Dave Kane’s capabilities as the deputy sheriff and know fully well he’s a man not to be messed with. But when I heard D.K. Hood was sharing his back story, I was very much up for knowing about this deputy, despite my multiple visits to Black Rock Falls.
Hood packs a lot into this short read. It’s not just about Kane but also an insight to Wolfe. But the main focus is Kane. His time in the military, his time in the Black Ops. And how he met his wife. If you’ve read some of the Kane and Alton series you’ll know a bit of Kane’s back story but this packs an emotional punch – if you know, you know…
Lose Your Breath is very different from my trips to Black Rock Falls. The atmosphere is more of an action packed read. But that’s not to say, it’s got the signature intrigue and pace that Hood inserts into the Kane and Alton series. As a fan of the series, I relished this trip into Kane’s past and have a better insight in to what brought this man to my favourite place in Montana.
This is David’s backstory. I’ve been gradually buying the series but haven’t started to read it but now after reading how it began I’m eager to read more. Very well written & action packed, it had me on the edge of my seat & I devoured it in a sitting. I hope there’s a similar book about Jenna My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
