Atonement is a standalone book set in the Partners Syndicate series and tells the story of Cameron and Bastian.

Atonement was another amazing book by Tori Fox. I really enjoyed reading this book, it was fast paced and I really liked Cam and Bastian. It was also really nice to read about Tacoma from the White Creek series again! I really loved her story in Forgotten Pieces and it was nice to read about her again!
Wealth and power have nothing over this feeling burning inside of me. Just like the stars fall, I feel my own heart falling for the woman next to me.
While reading Atonement I felt some Emily in Paris vibes and I really liked that. Cameron moves to France for work and has to work for a grumpy but attractive man, Bastian. I really liked their relationship because I’m a sucker for Enemies to Lovers stories. They’re a match made in heaven because they bring out the best in each other. I loved their chemistry and I couldn’t get enough of the couple!
She is my star now, my little sky full of stars.
Atonement was such a good book and I really liked the story and the characters. Tori Fox is an amazing Romance author and I always look forward to reading her books! If you’re looking for an Enemies to Lovers book with a boss/employee relationship, then Atonement is perfect for you!

Review as I read : Have to give 5 stars! How much I love stories like this. Cameron, a strong, confident woman who doesn't let anything or anyone get in her way! She's got so much spunk and when Bastion gets on her about something she gives it right back! She doesn't let him ruffle her feathers. Bastion is a bastard for sure. He's broody, grumpy, and he is not someone you want to mess with. His brother is in jail and what he did caused the family hotel business to crash. Very bad thing s happen, kind of mysterious so far. I love how the whole scandal is not completely known yet.

Atonement is a book that will take you on a roller coaster ride from beginning to end. Wealthy Cam came from an elite family but has spent her whole life proving her worth beyond looks. So she joins a PR firm to display to her family she also has brains and can be successful. Her brash attitude gets her shipped to Paris where she takes on a difficult client....Bastian. Bastian is hardened and dealing with a family scandal that has impacted his family hotel business. He requires Cam's help to regain a better image for his brand, but he doesn't anticipate her fire. Together these two are combustible with loads of chemistry sparking at all times. Bastian also has many hidden secrets and layers of danger that want Cam and Bastian. I enjoyed the writing style and characters of this book. I quickly became immersed in the story and stayed connected throughout. I loved the banter and enemies to lovers aspects of our main characters. They definitely had plenty of spice and fire that covered layers of vulnerability. Cam is full of fire and keeps Bastian on his toes while fighting for his company. Bastian is extremely protective over Cam and shows holes in his strong wall allowing love in. I thoroughly enjoyed these two and their story.

This is my first time reading this author and I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed this story about Cameron and Bastian, it’s your typical enemies to lovers which is one of my all time favorites. I loved the back and forth between the two of them. They really knew how to bring out the best of one another. This book was very easy to read and get into. It pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until I finished. I highly recommend this boss/employee and enemies to lovers read!

When Cam's given a choice to take a position in Paris, or no job at all, of course she chooses Paris. Too bad she didn't realize the man she'd have to work with to turn his company's image around would turn out to be such a jackass. Too bad she couldn't resist him...
Bastian has never reacted to a woman so instantaneously the way he has with Cam. But he hides it behind a layer of cold brutishness. When their attraction can't be contained any longer, they give in. But it can't last, because he's got secrets upon secrets that will place Cam in danger, and he's determined not to put her in that position for long. Will she understand, or will his actions break her heart?
It's always entertaining when an alpha meets the one who doesn't bow down to him. That's certainly the case here, and she was fun and sassy as she told him off and defied him. The secrets part of the story was probably my least favorite part, as those secrets were a bit predictable. Still, the story itself is entertaining, hot, and I loved how much Cam sassed Bastian.

Cameron Wilder knows her worth. She knows who she is and what she can do. She gets assigned to work on the case of a billionaire's hotel to try and salvage his reputation and his money. She just needs to stay away from the billionaire himself.
This was my first book by Tori Fox and it won't be my last. I literally could not put this one down! Every time I would think I had a handle on a character, BAM here's another twist. This book was a slow burn but once the chemistry ignited....🧨🔥. I really liked the dual POV so we could see why certain actions were taken.
Bastien was the ultimate alpha-hole. He would just snarl and expect perfection with no explanation or understanding of what he wants. He definitely didn't expect Cameron to bite back! Watching them banter back and forth was so entertaining.
Cameron was a fiesty, independent woman who did not take any crap from anybody. She knew exactly how she should be treated and demanded respect.
I cannot wait to see who else gets a book in this series. The story within the story kept me reading until the wee hours of the morning. 🖤

This book was all over the place. I hate giving less than stellar reviews, but the more I read the more bored I became. It was repetitive, and the pacing was off. The majority of the story happened in a two month time span. I don’t get how we got from billionaire alpha hole hate fuck to “I more than love you” in a total of two months.
It lacked a real plot through the majority of the book, and it got to the point where it was just sex scene after sex scene with no real change in their relationship(sex doesn’t equate to love) Yeah this had the makings of a great book, but just needed to be flushed out a lot more.

Bastian Montford isn’t the kind of man that waits around for things to happen. He wants results and he expects them to begin showing immediately. With hiring Cameron Wilder, he is expecting his company’s image to be redeemed, but he is not expecting the Cameron Wilder that shows up. He has a past that is still haunting him and he knows that it’s come back to bite him with everything that is happening to his family and their business.

The only trouble is that Cameron Wilder also has a mouth and knows how to use it, which gets her into more trouble than it should. She’s tough, independent, smart, and very talented at her job. The company she works for is looking to get rid of her, but they know her worth and don’t’ want to just fire her, so they come up with an alternative. The only trouble is that she is going in blind.
I really enjoyed this story of Bastian and Cameron. The chemistry between these two is off the pages hot and I loved their banter and their connection. The story was great with the way that these two always butt heads and their banter is comical at times. I love that Parker, Bastian’s PA is amused by her and while he is more subdued when dealing with Bastian, he does enjoy watching these two banter and get each other riled up. I loved the characters and I loved Kilian. This was my first time reading a Tori Fox story, but if this is indicative of her writing, I will be reading more. The book was well written, and the characters are terrific and so well developed. I ended the book looking for more of this series. I would love to read more. The Partner’s Syndicate looks to be a very dangerous group of people that like to play God with people’s lives, and I am anxious to find out more. I give this story a 4-star review.

I’m always looking for a new author to read. Sometimes nervous not knowing what to expect. I can honestly say Tori Fox is an author I will read over and over again. Her characters have so much chemistry they burn up the pages. Cam and Bastian were explosive together. Not only between the sheets but their bickering in the office was priceless. Her storylines will keep you glued to every word. I could not put this book down. From the minute Bastian met Cam he knew she was different. But he knew he was no good for her. His past alone should scare her away. What he doesn’t know is that Cam is trying to prove herself. Especially to her family. She has been brought up in the elite society and although her sister is a successful attorney, Cam’s family just expects her to be a trophy wife. Marry well and stay at home. Cam wants more in life. She is determined to be someone. Cleaning up the mess that Bastian’s company is in will do that for her. People expect her to fail but she will prove them wrong.
Bastian is far from someone she would be attracted to. Not because of his looks but because he is just what her family expects her to marry, wealthy and successful.

Cam has an agenda and nothing will stop her even a six foot, big, sexy man .. Cameron Wilder is living her best life from being transferred to France from New York for her PR she is out to prove to her family that she can do it ALL !! So when she is assigned to the Montfort Hotels account she knows she can handle it because who can’t bring a sophisticated hotel group into the greatness in which they deserve with the luxury they portray .. what she didn’t know was the history of the Montfort Family but she is determined to get it done and NOT be fired in the process.
Until Bastian Montfort can get his family out of the darkness he will NOT stop protecting them until she came along and the walls around his harden heart started breaking because of this smart, sexy, hot, Dolly dancing woman !!

Cameron is the type of heroine that I need all day everyday & twice on Sundays to be honest. She's not a pushover, and will go toe to toe with anyone who is trying to square up on her LOL. She gets a job offer as PR for Bastian's company since they're in hot water at the moment, and that broody pain in the behind is now her new boss. Now he's sexy, and there are serious sparks flying, but you know, it's a push & pull situation since she's not a pushover. Now, that chemistry won't be denied for long so be ready for a fiery explosion coming your way since no one could deny it indefinitely. Their banter is quite hilarious to be honest since it's going all the time, and there's nothing he can do to get her to walk (and I'm not saying he's trying to, I'm just leading up to a point about her). She comes from a wealthy family & she's not down with what they want for her so this is her chance to prove to them that she can make her own way. There are even some twists popping up throughout the story since Bastian has secrets. So yeah, this is a story that I loved so it's your turn to hit those one click buttons as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Tori Fox is a new to me author and I really enjoyed this book. It has a little bit of everything…suspense, angst, enemies-to-lovers, workplace romance and steam!
Cameron (Cam) is a girl after my own heart! She is determined, confident, a spitfire and does not back down to anyone. She is brought in to help a company recover from a media nightmare and she hits the ground running.
Bastion…ugh, you want to hate him but you will
Love him by the end of the book. He is a tough business man dealing with a hit to his business due to a family fiasco. He has a horrible reputation as a boss and Cam is about to turn his world upside down.
These characters will made you laugh at their banter, get frustrated with their stubbornness, curse them because they are frustrating and fall in love with the people they help each other become. A really wonderful and entertaining book.

Wow, the depth of this story, I was not prepared for it. The confidence that Cam exudes is something to aspire to all in itself. I love how she is a take no crap type of person and stands up for what she believes she deserves and what is the right action to take. When she lays eyes on Bastian and his brooding ways the slight hiccup to her steadfastness was palpable. I really loved the angst between these two and things built and built. The explosion of pure lust was just perfect in my opinion.
This story has quite a lot of mystery woven in the midst of the tension between Cam and Bastian as well. I couldn't put this down, I needed to know all the details and how things would turn out in the end.

Being new to Ms.Fox's work I've been looking forward to picking up her books! As soon as I found out about this one I knew I'd have to read it first! I enjoyed this story!!
Right from the prologue I was pulled in! I wasn't sure what all was going to happen in Cam and Bastian's journey. I really liked the chemistry between these two and the way that had me feeling so many things!

This was a new to me author and one I'll definitely be reading more from, including the next book in the series.
This book conflicted me as the prologue was so catchy that I expected more suspense or secrets to be shared throughout, and while we got some of that, the book was more focused on the forbidden relationship side, which made for a good book sure, but I was still left feeling slightly underwhelmed for lack of a better word.
The characters were mostly enjoyable, with their push and pull entertaining to watch.

The title says it all. This is Bastian's tale of atonement for his mistakes and moral tradeoffs for power and money. He has achieved everything he wanted but doesn't like the man he has become to get there. In walks Cam. The feisty, independent and opinionated PR woman sent to turn his business reputation around. She isn't afraid to say no and speak the truth. She isn't afraid of Bastian.
Emotionally this is a slow burn. These two arent afraid to heat up the pages physically but they take longer to grow, develop and admit their emotions. It is quite an emotional investment but the pay off is satisfying. It is quite a long and complex narrative with some underlying threat. These two have to cover a lot of emotional ground to get their HEA.
I really enjoyed the story and getting to know these two. I enjoyed their spark, chemistry and bickering. Cam is a strong and determined lead. Bastian is burdened by his mistakes and is loyal to those he loves.

OMG, this book is a absolutely fabulous! Their banter back and forth is next level! I love it so very much. Bastion he is just, daaaamn, an enigma, sexy powerful man and needed someone that will go toe to toe with him and Cam delivers that in Spades. Her sassy, spunky personality is everything. She does and says things just to aggravate him and it is everything!!! Her and Parker became close friends and loved when she drove Bas crazy. I love that she is trying to prove to her parents that she can be a successful women in business without her parents connections, just on her own merit! I love the suspense, mystery syndicate angle in the story it kept us guessing until the very end. They had to go through the fires, but made it through and are together. So perfect for each other. Love it so much.

Oh my! Where to start? Cam is a force to be reckoned with. I love her strength and her absolute determination to do things her way. Bastian is the alpha, running his business, dealing with so much with the family and the fire that is between he and Cam is... just, wow. Their story has a lot of back and forth, hot and cold, ups and downs, all of that mixes with the bits that kept me guessing and had me flipping pages. Definitely enjoyed this read.

As I read these authors books, she is becoming more and more of my favorites to read.
This book took me on a rollercoaster of emotions with the push and pull from Bastian and Cam. Cam is feisty PR woman that has come to help Bastion with his work’s public image. Well that’s what it starts as, little did they know they were about to embark on an emotional journey together, this is a slow burn romance that it filled with secrets, banter, amazing chemistry.

4 1/2 Stars for this suspenseful romance!
This book is a slow burn and then it just started on fire! The push and pull between Bastian and Cameron had me turning the pages into the wee hours of the morning. I just loved Cam ... she didn't take crap from anyone. Even the client she should be trying to impress. And Bastian ... you know he has lots of secrets. You just don't know how dangerous they are ... or is it him who is dangerous. Is he a good guy or a bad guy? And even though there isn't a cliffhanger ... I was left with unanswered questions about some of the other characters in the book. I only hope that they will be getting their own books.
Cam has to prove to her family that she's more than a trophy wife. She has to prove that she can make it in business as a PR consultant. She is forced to take a job in Paris ... a job that no one else in her company wants because of the CEO's brutal reputation. But Cam knows that she can handle it ... after all, her family has given her lots of practice. Bastian is trying to save the family's business reputation after his younger brother gets sent to prison. He hires a PR firm from the US and the spitfire they send hits every one of his nerves. She agrues with him all the time and he believes that she wants to make him mad. Soon the tension takes a turn to lust ... how long before it snaps and they give in to their desires?

unfortunately, i feel indifference to this book. i don't hate it, nor do i love it, i did somewhat enjoy it.
i really disliked the beginning. cameron, our female mc, was just too much but in the wrong way. her behaviour reminded me rather of a teenage girl rather than the independent woman 'proving' herself to her parents.
bastian, our male mc, he just...within their first meeting, he was already possessive of her. didn't even speak more than a couple words to her and he already had a claim on her. it made no sense whatsoever.
cameron worked for bastian as a PR to help his company's image after his younger brother messed things up. she pushed on things and refused to listen to bastian who was her boss. again, made no sense because that's her boss and in any other circumstance, she would be fired. but no, of course, she's 'independent' and a woman who 'takes no bullshit'.
there was a lot of pull and push and suddenly, they were kissing. some of him being an asshole after that, her finding arguing with him attractive and just, once again, a whole lot of no sense.
long story short, their relationship progressed quickly after about a month and there was a lot of messing around after that. they fell in love and they were a lot of sweet moments. like when he helped her overcome her fear of the sea, then when they went stargazing.
he revealed his 'dark' secrets to her after a little while longer, again, they'd hardly known each other so it didn't make sense.
perhaps if the author added detail, then i could like it more because they're a really cute couple.

Cam and Bastian tore everything to shreds around them. The rules, the societal norms, the walls, each other. But they just couldn’t stay apart. Even with Bastian’s secrets and unpredictable attitude, they were drawn together. Even with darkness hanging over his head and a price to be paid, they didn’t waver. Sure, they fought. A lot. But as Yvette said, enemies to lovers is a great story. And oh, how great it was.
These two had secrets and nuances and a battering ram mentality working both for and against them the whole time. So when the moment for the ultimate sacrifice came, and was given, it was difficult to really feel relief. Even with that melancholy that clung to the relief and love, I feel some hope that there’s more to the story. Maybe some secrets will rise from the dead. Maybe some family members will see their karmic retribution. But until then, Cam and Bastian have each other. And once they finally (ahem, Bastian) accepted that they’re better together than apart, they were stronger than anything trying to beat them. So if anything else comes their way, they’ll be ready.

From the moment I picked this book I was hooked, on the edge of my seat. I couldn't put it down. I had to keep reading to find out what happens next.
Bastian has hired Cam to fix his company's public image - only he assumed she was a "he". Even from that disaster of a first meeting, sparks fly between these two. She doesn't cow to his demands and he is constantly on her brain. There are some many secrets and hidden agendas that the reader has to keep on going to figure it all out. Cam is a strong FMC, although I personally did not care for the way her upbringing was written. I definitely hated her family.
This book is explosive. The tension is palpable until it has to burst! The only reasons I didn't give this 5 stars was because I wish we got a little be more about what happened between Bastian and the Partners and I hated how Killian's arc ended. Will definitely be looking out for more from Ms. Fox!

Cam is in Public Relations and loves what she does. When she gets a job offer in Paris she can’t believe her luck. When she realizes who she will be working for and what kind of PR mess is ahead of her this might not be her dream job. Bastian is a ruthless businessman and apologizes for nothing. Unfortunately Bastian’s family has a reputation for making big messes and having a lot of baggage! When Cam is hired to clean up those messes little did she know the chemistry between her and Bastian would be off the charts. I enjoyed the idea of the book and loved the characters. unfortunately this story really dragged out for me, I prefer a faster pace book. I would definitely give this author another chance.

Get ready to lose touch with everything but this book. It's the way that you feel and how invested you are in peeling back the layers. Each page takes you in deep.
