Life on the Oregon Trail will never be the same . . .
Tenner King is determined to make his own way in the world far from the overbearing presence of his father and the ranch where he was raised in Rinehart’s Crossing, Oregon. Reluctantly, he returns home after his father’s death to find the ranch on its way to ruin and his siblings antsy to leave. Prepared to do whatever is necessary to save the ranch, Tenner isn’t about to let a little thing like love get in his way.

♥ Austen – After spending her entire life ruled by her father, Austen Rose King certainly isn’t going to allow her bossy older brother to take on the job. Desperate to leave the hard work and solitude of the Diamond K Ranch, she decides a husband would be the fastest means of escape. If only she could find a man she could tolerate for more than five minutes.

♥ Claire – Two thousand miles of travel. Two thousand miles of listening to her parents bicker about the best place in Oregon to settle. Two thousand miles of dusty trails, bumpy wagons, and things that slither and creep into her bedding at night. Claire Clemons would happily set down roots that very minute if someone would let her. What she needs is her own Prince Charming to give her a place to call home. When a broken wagon wheel strands her family miles from civilization, she wonders if handsome Worth King, the freighter who rescues them, might just be the answer to her prayers.

♥ Kendall – Anxious to escape her mother’s meddling interference, Kendall Arrington leaves her society life behind, intent on experiencing a Wild West adventure. Hired as the school teacher in a growing town on the Oregon Trail, Kendall hopes to bring a degree of civility and a joy of learning to the children of Rinehart’s Crossing. However, the last thing she expects to find is a cowboy with shaggy hair, dusty boots, and incredible blue eyes among her eager students.

Will love find the three King siblings as Romance arrives in Rinehart’s Crossing?

Once upon a time on the Oregon Trail…

Whether spinning sweet, historical romances set in World War I, World War II, Pendleton, Baker City, Hardman, and the early days of Grass Valley, or swoon-worthy contemporary romances in Tenacity, Summer Creek, and modern-day Grass Valley, or delightful children’s books, Shanna Hatfield is not only a prolific author but possesses a strong, innate knowledge of history.
In her latest offering, Romance at Rinehart Crossing, she once again gives her readers a glimpse of life in Oregon in the late 1800s. As is her hallmark, she’s created memorable characters, a town full of friendly folks, a stray dog who will steal your heart, a healthy dose of history of the Oregon Trail, and a premise which flows seamlessly from one story to another.
Determined to chart their own destiny, twin siblings Austen Rose and Worth King leave the family ranch in their older brother, Tenner’s, oh-so-capable hands. Thinking she’ll never find a husband, a surprise is awaits her when Alex Taylor strolls into town and into her heart. Worth wasn’t looking for love yet when beautiful Claire Clemons suggest a make-believe courtship, he finds he wants to make it a permanent arrangement. Working day and night to make the family homestead profitable, Tenner is a confirmed bachelor and scoffs at the poetry penned B.K. Kendrick in the local papers. But in an instant, he falls head over heels in love when a beautiful new school teacher catches Tenner’s eye.
Full of romance, tender moments, laughter, some surprises, and a trio of happily-ever-afters, Romance at Rinehart Crossing is a gem of a book in Ms. Hatfield’s ever-glowing historical crown!

I love Shanna Hatfield’s books so was really looking forward to reading another one. What is great about this book (and the Regional Romance Series) is that it’s not just one book but three, and there is no waiting for the next story in the series (which I’m really not good at doing) because it is just a page away.
Three siblings and three different stories - lovely ones with a bit of drama, intrigue and of course romance. I loved the interaction between the siblings, so relatable in the frustration and annoyance (and the running away) but also, once ‘grown up’ a little, in being willing to do anything to help. I loved the way the characters grabbed opportunities and made the most of their situations and grew into really generous people that any of us would be privileged to meet. Through this book was also the interest and intrigue about the poet whose poems appeared in the local paper. Who was writing this lovely poetry?
I’d love to live in Rinehart’s Crossing and hang out with them, I wonder what sort of story Shanna could write for me?

Wow!! Shanna has done it again. I loved the stories of the King siblings and how they were reunited and their relationship not just restored, but made new and better. Each one was amazing to read, but Tenner's story was the perfect ending. As each one of the siblings found love, they also were able to step into what they were meant to be and do. Through it all, even though they didn't realize it, Tenner was the stability and foundation of their family. There were some surprises and wonderfully tender moments to capture your heart. I liked the references to the Oregon Trail since I was reading it while we were on a road trip and visited many of the stops along the trail. I hope there are more stories from Rinehart's Crossing.

Another great series
I love series books and when written by Shanna Hatfield, it is a win-win!
This series is about the 3 King siblings. The oldest, Tenner, leaves home after his mother passes away and he can no longer get along with his father. After his father’s death, he returns home to help his twin siblings. However, having been gone so long he knows nothing about them and they know nothing of his life, either.
I love how the story unfolded and how each sibling found their own way in life as well as getting a HEA. Tenner’s story is last and I love how even though tidbits of his life were mentioned from time to time, it wasn’t until the end we really learn everything about him.

I received an ARC from the author, but this is my own voluntary review.

Three stories in one

At the passing of their father, the King siblings are left to find a way to survive. Tenner, the oldest, had been living in another part of Oregon. He came home to find the King ranch, a mess. Austen and Worth, had no interest in the ranch. This story covers each of the King siblings as they find their way in a profession they love as well as the person they were meant to love. I really appreciated that each sibling had their own story. It was nice to be able to follow the whole family in one book. You'll love the twists and turns that take place, you'll be turning the pages to see what happens next. I loved it!

this is another amazing book the twins and tenner are very impressive the details about the town and how it came to be are amazing , even with the dad not knowing what he was doing when he goes out on the tail where other people were going by in their wagons and had to leave their trunks and other belongings along the trail makes you think about what they were going through , and he was picking up the items left behind and bring them home then put in the attic . i like the way the twins stand of to Tenner and go into town to make their own way / if you have read any of Shanna's other books you do not want to miss this one i was given a copy but this is an honest review

Another great Regional Romance! Tenner returns home at the death of his father after leaving when he was fifteen. These three stories weave together the lives of Tenner and his younger twin siblings that he left behind. They are filled with hurt, love, romance, history, and mystery! You will be waiting to turn the page and see what happens next. Shanna Hatfield is a wonderful story teller and the personalities and quick wit of her characters always leaves you laughing! Don’t miss this sweet, clean historical romance!

This is the story about a family losing their father and how their life changed as the result. The oldest Tenner is determined to rebuild the ranch and raise thoroughbred horses. Twin sister Austen and brother Worth move into town where Worth starts his own freight company to deliver goods to the local store while Austen sets out to find a husband and moves in with a friend. There are some unexpected twists but in the end all works out for these siblings when they find love.

Meet the twins, Austen and Worth and their brother Tenny. Delightful people – in a way. Each has a mind of their own and are not afraid to use it.

I loved the three King siblings and how they each were different yet always supportive of one another. I loved the people they fell in love with, each different yet had the same tender spirit and loving nature. The people of Rinehart's Crossing were great as loving friends and caring neighbors and I hope we get to see more of them in future books. My favorite character was definitely Tennyson, he was a grumpy one but with a heart of gold and I loved how he won over his love interest with the written word and by his actions.

This are the stories of the King siblings finding love.
Tenner has left home after a fight with his father when he was fifteen but now he’s back and isn’t very happy. Austen and Worth have enough of the ranch and their brother and are going out chasing their dreams.
Will these siblings all find what they are looking for or find even more?
I really enjoyed reading these stories, fun reading they all falling in love and they all having each other’s back. With all the side characters living up this book it’s really worth reading.

This book has three stories of three siblings whose father just passed away.
The oldest son, Tenner King, wasn’t there but he came to help with the funeral. He stayed to try to put this old fallen down ranch back together, but gets no help from his siblings. With or without them, he is determined to fix up the ranch.
Then we start the first story with their sister who is a twin to the other brother. They have been living there but not doing anything. They tried when their father was alive, but he would tear down what they just fixed so they stopped trying.
Austen is the twin sister, who decided to go into town and see if she could find a place to stay and did with her best friend. She is hoping to find love, but all the men in town aren’t for her. Oh well, maybe someone will move here soon who is suitable for her.
The next story is about her twin brother, Worth King. He leaves the ranch also and decides since there is a need by for a freight company so he buys a few mules and a big freight wagon to help get and deliver goods to the Taylor Brothers store in town. Once they decided to get Tenner to pay them each what was their inheritance in ranch, he could get another freight wagon and more mules.
Last is Tenner’s story. He helps Worth build a barn to house his freight wagons and the mules. Then he sees a new woman in town and he thought he wouldn’t be interested in anyone right now while getting his ranch up and running. He is going to train fine Thoroughbreds to sell to people who either race them or have jockeys to do that, but he can’t get his mind off of her.
All three main stories are really good. Austen’s has a big dangerous plot in it, Worth finds the woman of his dreams when a new family ends up staying in town since they broke a wheel on their wagon while on the Oregon Trail. Tenner has busy as he is seeing a woman he doesn’t know and knew it must be the new teacher and decides he was to meet her and win her hand.
All these stories flow together and all are wonderful stories, cleverly written and a delightfully wonderful to read and each has a woven tale to each one that also keeps the family still talking and each one moving on.
I am pretty sure if you know this author you will get this book and if you haven’t read any of her stories you will be delighted when you buy this book.
I am an advance reader for this author and wanted to do this review.

This is a thoroughly enjoyable book! The characters are so sweet and it was so nice to get to know them. I love the little town of Rinehart's Crossing. If only a small town like this truly existed, I'd live there! Tenner comes across as the rough and grumpy cowboy, but he has a very loving heart and a secret that no-one in town knows. His siblings are considerably younger than Tenner, but they are now ready to embark on their own lives and find that special someone to spend their life with. It takes Tenner a little longer, but he finally finds someone to crack through that rough exterior of his and show him how wonderful love is. I found it very hard to put this book down. I highly recommend it if you're looking for an escape from all the craziness of today's world. Enjoy the simple life of Rinehart's Crossing.

I really enjoyed the King family. They are a little bit on the stubborn side and maybe just a tad wild, but they are all good people. As the King siblings try to find their way in the world after their father's death, they try to find their way to each other. Tenner has been hiding himself from everyone in town, including his siblings. Worth and Austen have just been trying to survive their father's illness. When Tenner finally comes home, he almost works them all to death. Worth and Austen escape the ranch to find their own way. What all of them find is love and themselves. Good stories.

I really loved this historical romance. This book is based on three King family members and their journeys to find love. Tenner swears he's not wanting to find love but he finds it in the new local school teacher Kendall. Worth is just as headstrong as Tenner and thinks he's too busy for love as well until he meets Claire and she makes him an offer he doesn't want to refuse. Austen finds love at the local general store with Alex when he comes to town to check out how the family business is going. Each story draws you in with amazing characters you just want to root for!

These are the stories of 3 siblings and so wonderful to read from beginning to end - Tenner is the oldest brother and it starts out with where he is and how he learns that his dad has passed away and the anguish he finds when returning home to find his twin siblings have let the ranch fall to ruin - Austen and Worth's stories then follow and I just could not put my kindle away since I wanted to see what was happening within the family - meeting other characters was fun too! I read a bookfunnel version and freely leave my review!

Novel split into three independent stories which is beautifully interwoven. Each follows the story of the King siblings - Austen, Worth and Tenner - and how they came to find love at Rinehart's Crossing. Always enjoy reading about the Oregon trial, and this one did not disappoint. Loved it.

Author added actual historical facts at the end which just makes this novel so much more beautiful.

"She’d never before met a woman who couldn’t cook or sew but could run a bank." Being an accountant, who hates making food and can't sew, this touched on a good nerve.

The Three King siblings

Three siblings brought together by their father's death, work to save the rundown ranch. Distrust and past hurts have alienated them and this Romance set shows how each sibling overcomes the odds and finds love. Each of the three stories are easy to read and I love that, although the name has been changed, the book is set in a small town that actually existed on the Oregon Trail.
