Shatter vs shattered. At the beginning it is Shatter, and at the end, Shattered describes the angst and unexpected outcome.
It is difficult to describe this book and review it without giving away plot. What happened was telegraphed, or if you are a pessimist, you knew it would happen. The author handled the story brilliantly, giving the reader an extremely good story of teenage torment while immersed in the consequences of love. It seemed to evolve to teenage destiny.
From the beginning to the end, there were great writing transitions and visualizations without distracting the reader, and the language worked well, and enhanced the emotions.
I actually had hoped that the magic, which is behind the theme of the story, would continue and give us a different ending---which I can't mention here without revealing what did happen.
