If it sounds too good to be true...Mae and her friend Ray found that old saying rang pretty true for them. Both were offered lucrative deals in their respective jobs, and Ray was beyond excited for the money he was hoping to earn, hoping being the operative word there.
What a crazy July 4th weekend filled with weird events. As always, Mae's good sense won out and after coming up with a plan that Ross and Ray were in on, they caught their perp. I'm trying to be vague and not give away what exactly was going on, but there was plenty of good action and the horses and dogs got their share of the limelight too! Always a fun ride (pun definitely intended!) when Mae and her team are on the job!
Mae and Ross are driving the chief of police and fire in one carriage and the mayor in the other. Everything is fine until one of the float's breaks free and starts to roll down a muddy hill towards houses. They hook Copper up to the float and pull. He was used to pulling heavy loads on farm where he was raised, he doesn't disappoint Mae. He pulls the float back onto street and becomes a celebrity. A woman, Lisa, approaches Mae she wants to use Copper in commercials for a Cryptocurrency company. After that things start going bad. Mae has a big problem on her hands. Good story and characters, love the animals.
This episode is sooooo good! There are heroes, villains , good families, ornery families, and a bunch of little kids and teenagers! There are many scenes that just seem just too good to be true! There are tearful moments and laugh out loud moments. And there are 2 border collies (Mick and Mack), as well as a cute little territorial terrier (Buzz Saw, what a name), that steal the show and save the day. This episode was as good as all the rest in the series, and I gave it 5 great big fat stars!
From the start, I have enjoyed the writings of J A Whiting. Sweet Cove, Hope, Tipperary Carriage. I love her stories and can't wait for the next edition. She does not disappoint. Her characters are family based and you feel like you can knock on the door and join in the adventures.

Mae and her heroic horse Copper are going to make commercials, it's an offer almost too good to be true. With some unpleasant rides at carnivals Mae is ready to make some easy money, but will it be legal.
