After receiving an award for his philanthropy, Dr. Graham Hudson is found dead in his car of apparent suicide. Anna's baker/cook at the café, MJ, had gotten a ride home from him, and his car was found midway between their residences. When it looks like it was a murder, not self-inflicted, Anna and family begin trying to solve what really happened. The police arrest MJ for the crime, and her only hope of getting the real killer in jail instead of her lies with Anna, Cassie, and Meg.
The book is jammed with mysterious circumstances of other strange and criminal happenings, as well as Dr. Hudson's murder. It makes for a very interesting web of confusion for Anna and readers alike. Lots of suspicious characters and multiple locations make this one of the most detailed books in the series, and probably my favorite. So much to put together and mentally organize while reading. I am looking forward to the next book in the series to answer many questions raised in past books.
