Her father may think he can force gorgeous Audie to settle for her fiancé, but I have something else in mind. I’m going to charm her before she finds out about my mafia kingdom.
Now I just have to make sure Audie doesn’t find out I’m a killer…
Eamon’s Engagement is a full-length standalone dark mafia romance, part of the Mafia Heirs Gallaghers series. All books can be enjoyed as standalones.
Raven Scott is a contemporary romance author who dabbles in suspenseful stories. As a reader, she loves when twists and turns pop out in stories and strives to do the same in her own work. When she isn't writing, you can find her by the beach with a Sangria in hand, taking in the scenery.
This is one of those books that has you turning page after page because you just have to know how things will all fall out in the end. Eamon is sent to look into a savage hit on a family. Audie is the daughter of the man that Eamon suspects put the hit out. She’s living under her father’s rules which includes him making her marry her fiancé that she caught cheating on her.
It’s Eamon who gives Audie the self confidence to break away from her father’s rules. This is a fast-paced book that you can’t put down.
I thought that this was a really good book. We get more of the Gallaghers in this book and I am really liking this family. More mafia and more action and drama plus some steam and love mixed it. I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait for Theo's book. I would recommend this book and these two great author.

Eamon's Engagement (Mafia Heirs Gallaghers Book 2) by Raven Scott , Elizabeth Knox
Eamon is giving the task by his brother Keenan on the orders from Liam Mackenzie that he needs to go to America to find out who killed an entire family that works for the Mackenzie family. Arriving in Seattle he has to find out who is the killer while keeping Liam's territory safe. This story had so many twists and turns from the first chapter full of intrigue, lies, murder, violence and passion about the violent world of the Irish Mafia Eamon is thrown into a mire of lies and backstabbing and danger while gathering the information he needs to find out who murdered the McCarthy family. Knowing he has arrived the other families are wary and closed mouth as Eamon is applying pressure to make his presence known as he knows he must prove himself to Liam and his brother to save the family business before he returns home. Eamon feels that Murray Dale is the suspect but he needs proof before he can act. When Eamon's feisty sister Keeva arrives in Seattle she gives her brother one hell of a time, but with all of her sass she will prove to be an asset to him. Eamon now befriends Audie to get closer to the answers he needs and is instantly attracted to her when she tells him why she is upset. Murray Dale has no use for his daughter Audie he uses her for his own means when he forced her engagement to Harley McAllister to form an alliance with the McAllister Family. Audi canceled her wedding when she catches her fiancé in bed with another but her father will not stand for her calling of the engagement as he tells her she will not defy him and do what she is told or else. When she is threatened, and beaten by her ex with the blessing of her father Audie takes a stand and refuses to take him back. Can Eamon show Audie that she is worth something as she has no self worth and is dependent on her father for everything when he comes to her aid? Now she is under the protection of the Gallagher family and they learn that this young woman who appears meek and passive, listened and learned her father's secrets will she be able to assist Eamon and the family to take her father down. When she refuses to go back to her fiance, her father cut her off and left her with nothing. As Audie and Eamon are becoming close with the help from Keeva, the chemistry and desire between them is explosive as they start a relationship that is full of emotion and plenty of steamy moments as Audi is emerging a strong confident woman. Eamon forms an alliance with Theo who works for Audie's father telling him how devious and violent Murray is handling his side of the business but warns him to be careful as he can't be trusted and tells Eamon how Murray mistreated his daughter growing up. When her brother Tristian who Eamon still hasn't been able to find reaches out to his sister to come to the house she finds it was a setup as her father and and ex once again physically torments her and learns her brother is missing. Coming to Audie's aid Eamon threatens her father and punishes Harley for putting his hands on Audie once again. The more Eamon starts to dig they find a paper trial of money being exchanged for the hit on the McCarthy family was put into Audie's account by her father.
Drama and suspense is all around them, Eamon has finally found the proof on Murray, Eamon forms a pact with Frederick McAllister and he reaches out to his brother and is told Liam is on his way. The love that is growing between Eamon and Audie will change both of their lives as a decision will have to be made if they are to be together as Eamon has finally found his worth as a member of the Gallagher Family. With all of the chaos happening , Murray is on the run, they learn that Tristian is being framed and the depth of hate and contempt Murray has for his daughter. As Eamon and Liam are closing in on Murray a situation turns deadly when Audie is missing and they learn that Tristian texted her, but did he really? Upon arriving at her mother's cabin, she overhears an argument between her father and brother who she learns was kidnapped, beaten and held at the cabin by her father and how he plotted and put everything into motion. Will Audie who has become a strong confident woman due to Eamon's love take matters into her own hands to save her brother? Now lives are on the line, will Eamon get to her in time and what will he discover? Can't wait for Keeva's story as she is one feisty Gallagher who deserves her own story!
While I usually like Elizabeth Knox novels because they are gritty while still being engaging; I had to seriously make myself finish this one. To put it frankly it was boring and super long winded. This is sort of in media res as the murders have already occurred and the Mob now has to have someone from the homeland to investigate and clean up shop. It is definitely recommended that you read the series in order because you'll be scrambling to understand the family drama behind Eamon's/Liam's and also exactly what he is being tasked to do in the states. So Eamon is tasked to go to the US and essentially find out who murdered an entire family and created the power void. I wanted to like his character and there are some really great things about Eamon that could have been more heavily fleshed out. He is funny, clever, and charming and despite having weight in the Mob he isn't heavy handed about it, but at the same time his motives for doing things and questioning people just sort of meander aimlessly. He knows who did but he needs proof and instead of getting down to business he messes around and basically takes the long approach...the age old principle applies follow the dang $$$$. As is the case in most instances of power shifting, everyone wants something and you can't trust anyone. I can say with all conviction Audie was my least favorite character in this book. She is a powerless and vapid character from the beginning. Sure I understand being ignored and essentially bought off by a father that quite literally thinks you are a waste of space because of your junk, but she was TSTL. For someone who is supposed to be smart, she had no idea what the hell was going on. It's like she knew but she just wanted to keep ignoring the glaring signs because was comfortably being looked after. Even after all the stuff that happened with her Ex. She was totally dependent on her father despite being educated and even when he cut off her off she basically relied on Eamon to help her. Even in her few brilliant instances of self promotion she is overshadowed by others. If she wasn't the main romance lead in the book I would have totally forgotten her character all together. The one thing I thought was intriguing was the idea that because she was ignored she was able to hear and see things that could help with the investigation, but even that aspect of her usefulness was eventually written off because she never freaking said anything or put two and two together. Hated her father and honestly was not a fan of her brother either. The only one that was mildly okay was Theo and honestly he was kind of an airhead. His motives to me were a little sketch and for a while I thought he was in on it too. He just seemed a little "too" out of touch with all the events going on and the whole Tiernan episode was so shady because he claimed they were so close. If the story didn't wrap up as it did I would still be suspicious of that guy. Keeva has a little book space presumably her book is next. All in all it's okay not my favorite.

Eamon’s story begins six months after Keenan’s finished, but it does begin with a glimpse into how Keenan had concluded Delilah’s story. (So be prepared for ugly tears and lots of tissues). I cannot recommend enough that you read Keenan’s Kingdom first. Although the books are strong enough to work as stand-alone’s, the introduction to Eamon and his siblings gives you a relevant background that bleeds into this book. Liam has a mess that needs cleaning up in Seattle, Washington so Eamon was recommended for the job. He’s flying by the seat of his pants while he tries to get to the bottom of a brutal hit on a family and clean up the knock on effects. Even though they are thousands of miles away, Liam is in charge and he’s not happy about the recent events. Eamon is his eyes and ears and the characters he meets all understand that they are under his microscope. He befriends Theo, his go to guy and Audie Hale. She’s the feisty, beautiful daughter of the man that Liam and Eamon alike suspect was behind the hit, they just need proof. Audie is clearly innocent and both poorly treated and regarded by her father. She had been engaged until she caught her fiancé cheating and called the whole thing off. Her father is continuing to force her to go along with it. However she’s involved with Eamon now and he’s giving her a much needed confidence boost to do what she wants to do and stick up for herself. Keeva’s unexpected arrival proves to be both comforting and useful as Eamon gets more embroiled with everything and the numerous players involved in his investigation. This was a superb follow on from Keenan’s story. Eamon’s a real character who thinks outside the box and naturally puts the people around him at ease. He begins adjusting to American food with Audie’s help but he misses both decent coffee and good whiskey. The story is well written and complex with interesting characters and plot. Eamon’s relationship with Audie is genuine and passionate and seeing her blossom with his confidence is long overdue. They’re a really good match and Audie helps Eamon’s investigation knowing the repercussions for herself. Eamon misses Ireland but as the saying goes, ‘Home is where the heart is’. Brilliant.. I am enjoying this series by Elizabeth Knox and Raven Scott. Bringing the Irish Mafia to America, Eamon is sent by his brother Keenan and his cousin Liam to take care of matters in Seattle. He was sent to find out who killed an entire family working for the Mackenzie family. Audie Hale is the daughter of Murray Hale who is a suspect in the murder of the McCarthy family. Audie is a mafia princess and is naïve. While she knows what goes on in her father’s world, she doesn’t think she knows much, but she hears things that she doesn’t realize is important. Audie is engaged to Harley McAllister, son of Fred McAllister who is also part of the mafia family. Audie walks in on Harley with another woman and loses it. When Eamon and Audie meet, there is an instant attraction. Audie has a love/hate relationship with her father – she was always treated differently and had very little confidence in herself.
Eamon has a way of figuring out things and picking up on body language. He also had a way of making Audie more confident about herself. Drama, suspense, mystery, passion, betrayal, violence, tragedy, and finding yourself in the process in just a few of the reasons why it will be hard to put this story down until you get to the end. The growth of Eamon and Audie and getting to know Trey (a friend of Audie’s and also an employee of Murray Hale’s) makes this story even better. I am looking forward to reading Keeva’s (Eamon’s sister) story next as she is a sassy, feisty woman who I am sure will have an interesting story as well!

The story is fast paced riveted and filled with violence, hatred, betrayal, enemies, suspense, drama, danger, violence, twists and turns, surprises, passion, heat, rivalry, alliance, and so much more. It's beautifully written with extraordinary characters and exceptional secondary characters with great storyline.

'Eamon's Engagement' by Elizabeth Knox and Raven Scott is the second book in their Mafia Heirs Gallaghers series and tells the story between Eamon Gallagher and Audie Hale. Eamon is being sent to Seattle to find out who murdered the McCarthy family. The McCarthy's ran the Mackenize operation in Washington state. After the murder Murray Hale took over the operation. Audie is a mafia princess who is naive and innocent in the dealings of her father. Furthermore she is just a pawn of her father's who encouraged her into an arranged marriage to another mafia member, Harley McAllister, until she found him cheating. Eamon and Audie meet during his investigation and sparks fly. Audie is Eamon's the only bright spot in the mess he is dealing with.
Ms. Knox and Ms. Scott have written a dynamic addition to their series. The story is full of lies, suspense, laughs, secrets, trust issues, passion, and plenty of steam. This book is well written with great characters, wonderful dialogue, and intriguing plot. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who likes some twists and turns with their romance. Looking forward to the next book.

Raven Scott is a new author to me; she did a great job collaborating with Elizabeth Knox who I have had the opportunity read several of her books and enjoyed them. This is the 2nd book in the “Mafia Heirs Gallaghers”. This is a fast paced easy read, action packed, page turner, family drama filled and suspenseful read. Eamon is in Seattle for his brother to get to the bottom of who killed his family members. What he finds is mafia princess Audie who is the daughter of who he thinks is responsible for the deaths. So Eamon does the next best thing and takes Audie for revenge. He is probably doing Audie a favor because she was engaged to someone who cheated on her and when she wanted out he was not ready nor willing to let her go. The more time Audie and Eamon spend together they are getting closer and closer.
Can these two mafia families call it a truces, what will Eamon’s family say when they find out about he and Audie?
I received an ARC via Booksprout and I am leaving my review voluntarily.
I enjoyed this story and series that I have been reading. I like Eamon, Keeva, and even a little bit of Keenan. Although I must have missed something because every book keeps saying he has been a jerk since being shot. In this book Liam and Keenan ask Eamon to go to America to take care of some business. One of Liam’s reports has been wiped from the face of the earth along with his entire family. It’s bizarre and Liam is demanding answers. The storyline is interesting but the lead female Audie and her brother Tiernan make no sense to me. They are irritating and as the reader, I am hoping they will get better but no. Eamon is quite the alpha male. He does not have many emotional concerns. Even though it’s clear that Eamon cares for Audie, he cannot be bothered with her emotional distress and all the deception in her life. There is a happy ending, but it doesn’t ring right after the main characters comments from the previous chapters. I am happy for them both but they are strange paired. Read On!
I really enjoyed this story. Eamon is sent to the states to find out the truth of some murders and to clean house so to speak. Audie has a marriage contract to marry a pos. When Eamon meets Audie there is a spark and that spark continues to grow. I liked Theo, He made me laugh and his reason for helping was… wow. 🤣🤣 He has been friends with Tiernan and Audie for years and hates the way their father treats Audie. It goes son, dog, daughter in her father’s eyes. He has absolutely no respect for her and thinks of her as a waste of space. Her fiancé is even worse of that is even possible. I just wanted to severely knock both him and her fiancé out and throat punch them. There is suspense, action, deceit, revealing truths, some twists and turns, some heartstopping moments and lusty feelings. Irish mafia has come to Seattle. I can’t wait for Keeva’s story next. She is a fireball and full of sass and her book will probably knock me on my butt. 🤣
Eamon is sent to America by Liam to find the murderer of the family in charge over there. Hale is the prime suspect since he has taken over operations. Also, he has been running things not so smoothly. Audie is in an semi arranged engagement with McAllister. When she goes to surprise him she finds him cheating on her. Instead of apologising he blames her and says that obviously he wasn’t going to faithful to her. She breaks off the engagement. Eamon has to question Hale and the people around him to see what is going on. When he talks to Audie he realises that her father doesn’t value her and is either unintelligent or has some other motives than are clear or maybe both. Why would Hale want to marry his daughter off to someone not good for her and not even worth the contract. This book was a good read and I can’t wait for the next book.. After his older brother Keenan Gallagher became an integral member of the Mackenzie Irish Mafia family, he tasks his brother Eamon in finding out the culprits in the Seattle Washington killing of the McCarthy family who ran guns and drugs for Liam Mackenzie. The main suspects were Murray Hale who now had the gun running aspect and Frederick McAllister who had the drug running side...but something's amiss and Eamon must figure out who is lying and who could have killed all six members of the family without being noticed...he is assisted by Theo, assigned by Murray to keep tabs on Eamon and by Audie the unassuming daughter, who has now refused her marriage contract to a cheating Harley McAllister, but you will need to read this engrossing, twisting tale to see what happens...I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book from Booksprout. Wow, Raven Scott and Elizabeth Knox have done it again with this book. When Eamon was tasked by his older brother Keeva to go to the United States and investigate who murdered the McKenzie family, he thought it would a walk in the park since he want to impress both his brother and McKenzie. What he saw when he got there was not what he expected. Audie is a mafia Princess and her father wanted her to marry the son of one of his allies so that they can become stronger. When she catches her fiance in bed with another woman, she canceled her wedding and instead of her father supporting her, he gave her fiance his blessings to beat her black and blue. Will Eamon be focused on the task he's been assigned to or will he step in when he sees someone who needs his help?
I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. Eamon has come to Seattle to find a killer not a woman. Audie knows that she is a bargaining chip for her father, nothing more. When she decides to change his plans, she pays for it. Audie and Eamon feel a strong connection from the beginning. It is going to cause issues for his take back, her father and the enemies still lurking. I was looking forward to their story and it did not disappoint. It is action packed and pulls you in from the start. There is danger, violence, drama, heartache, vengeance, rivalry, twists and turns. He and Audie are going to fight their way to the other side and come out the better for it. They had chemistry, passion and love between them. Looking forward to book three in this Gallagher series. . I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I love this book. It gives you an insight into the Irish mob on the American front. There is trouble in the American section, they send Eamon to figure out what is going on. He feels like he was sent here because he isn’t use to the finer things in life as of yet, and this is a way for him to sink or swim. He is surrounded by sharks looking to move up the food chain.. Audie is thought to be a second class person, even below a dog, but she tries to be up beat about the way she’s treated, but can only take so much. When she meets Eamon and they click, it sets off a chain reaction through her family and the case that Eamon is checking out for Liam. They get together and slowly make their way through all the crap that is going on, and while they do they fall in love and spend the time together building a strong life and foundation.
This is the second book in the Mafia Heirs Gallaghers, cousins to Liam Mackenzie (Forbidden Love).
Eamon is not happy about being asked to go to Seattle Washington to looking into the murder of the Mackenize head of operations there. He is still getting used to not sharing his bedroom any more, but leave Ireland, he will do what is asked of him.
He does not plan on getting involved with Audie, the daughter of the man he is investigating for the heinous crime. He tries to remain his impartiality, but will do anything to protect her from harm.
I loved Eamon and Audie's story, she goes thru a lot of painful discoveries which he and his sister Keeva help her thru. Cannot wait to read Keeva's story.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I am loving this new series. These two authors are knocking these books out of the park. They know exactly how to pull you in and keep you fully vested into the characters and their story. Eamon has come to Seattle to do a job. He has no idea what fate has in store for him. He was all about doing his job not being surprised by his feelings for a woman. Audie knows that she is a means to an end for her father. What she feels or wants is not important to him. She is a tool for him to use to make him more powerful. Can she get out from under the control of her father? Will she go after what she desires? Does she have info to help Eamon? Will he help her? Will he open his heart to her? Is there a bigger plan in play ? You will not want to put this book down! Read this and find those answers! You will be so glad you did. I was!
This book I struggled to get into and to be honest was the first book I have had to leave a review for where I have had to skip chapters and just read the end because the choppiness and back and forth between Eamon and Audie was doing my head in..like Keenan says in the book if you want to F her then do it but It seems like even though he has they become like friends in the chapters I read. .Audie goes from I'm a woman hear me roar I won't be treated like a piece if meat for my father, yet whines when the purse strings are cut off. I don't know if it's the collaboration between these two authors but this is the second book in this series I have not enjoyed. I don't think I will bother with anymore.
The book is intense from the start. Once I started reading this book I didn’t want to put it down. Eamon is tasked with going to Seattle to find out what happened to the family that was running the area. Audie is the daughter of the man suspected of killing the Seattle family. Eamon must take over the operation in Seattle with no help and also find out who is responsible for their deaths. Will getting involved with Audie lead him to the same fate? Or will Eamon and Audie be able to have their own HEA?
You would be able to follow this story without reading the first book in the series. I love every book that Elizabeth Knox writes or co-writes. You can never go wrong picking up one of her books. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the second book in this series and is Eamon and Audie’s journey. Eamon is Irish mafia, and he is sent to America to investigate who murdered his family, and Audie is a mafia princess who is the daughter of the man he thinks is responsible for the hits. Eamon takes Audie as revenge, and the more time she spends with him the more she comes out of her shell and becomes more confident. This is a well written story which is fast paced, action packed, and with drama, family, suspense, intrigue, danger, twists, emotions, and love, which leads to an entertaining page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented duo whose work I highly recommend. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Eamon Gallagher is tasked to uncover who murdered an entire MacKenzie family in the US. He is the easy going brother, funny and charming and despite being a higher ranking mob member seems calm and in controlled. Audie is a mafia Princess, who is used by her father as a marriage pawn so that his gang can become stronger. When she catches her fiancé in bed with another woman, she canceled her wedding but instead of supporting her decision, her father allows her fiancé to beat her. When Eamon and Audie meet, there is intense chemistry, sizzle and steam. There is a ton of action, drama, twists, turns, and more. The Gallaghers are a force. Great read Elizabeth Knox. Captivating story, great chemistry between characters!
Eamon's Engagement is the 2nd book in this Series. It continues the overall story of this large Irish Mafia family and goes into more detail which I found lured in right in. The spark and draw between Eamon and Audie was hot and a couple of the scenes were steamy. There are some triggers warnings around violence against women that need to be headed if this is a difficult subject for the reader. While I felt the first book of the series a bit lagging, this book drew me in immediately and was a page turner for me. . Eamon's Engagement is book 2 in the Mafia Heirs Gallaghers series by Raven Scott and Elizabeth Knox. Wow this is one intense mafia story. I was immediately hooked on the story. The world in this story is well written and it kept me captivated and turning pages.
Eamon and Audie have incredible chemistry that continued to grow throughout the story. I love how their relationship grows and helps both of them to grow stronger. The twists and turns in the plot are so well written and they hooked me so I read straight through. An excellent mafia romance that continues to get better with each book in the series.
Eamon’s Engagement by Raven Scott and Elizabeth Knox is the riveting story of Eamon and Audie. Eamon is sent to the U.S. on a mission….and there, he is unexpectedly captivated by Audie…who is part of the reason he’s here. There’s danger everywhere…as they try to discover who is behind all the threats and deaths…
Absolutely fabulous story!!! Again, this dynamic duo have written an exciting, danger-filled, hugely romantic story that I just devoured!!

This book had me reading the pages very quickly because I was so eager to see what the authors had in store of Eamon and Audie. A complex story where Eamon has to investigate who put a hit on the family but what he did not count on was to form a relationship with Audie. Even though it took me a few chapters to get in to the story I was drawn to the characters and as I read more and more I was drawn in to this book. I cannot wait to read more and to get the reactions from Eamon’s family when they discover the truth behind his relationship with Audie.

Having devoured and loved the first book in this series I was eagerly awaiting this one, it did not disappoint, I Just Loved it! I couldn't put it down, everything else went out the window as I took up position in my favourite reading chair, armed with a drink and my phone on silent I proceed to become immersed in this action-packed story.
It is filled with so much action, drama, suspense, intrigue, secrets and even murder which all go to make this mafia dark romance between Eamon and Audie compulsive reading. I love the books these two authors write when they work together, they make a perfect partnership their dark mafia stories are amongst my favourite.
Eamon is sent to the US to investigate the murder on one of Liam’s generals and his family. Audie is the daughter of the man that has taken over for the murdered general and is the focus of Eamons investigation. He gets to know her, her brother and Theo, their friend and driver, to learn the dynamics of what is happening in Seattle. I will admit that I struggled with this one, it was long and wordy. It felt like it dragged in places and I had trouble keeping focused. It picked up and finally finished but this wasn’t my favorite book by either author. .
