For a Time Traveler, the Future is Never Guaranteed. Sahara Aldridge, a young Egyptologist in 1922, is mastering the genetic surprise of time travel.
She’s survived a murderous vizier in King Tut’s Egypt, and taken on ancient Roman aristocrats bent on deposing Nero.
She’s even managed to open her heart to the charming Jack Moretti, despite the shocking secret he’s finally divulged.
But when the next clue to finding her parents lands her in an ancient Egyptian assassination attempt, Sahara’s tinkering with the past just might erase her future.
Skimming across the lofty pyramids of ancient Egypt to the elegant canals of 18th century Venice, the answers to Sahara’s desperate search for belonging seem only a breath away.
But an old score must be settled, and an old feud reconciled, before she can face a truth more than thirty years in the making, and a secret she was never meant to learn.
How can love be enough, when fear and hate are fierce?
Tracy Higley has been attempting to time travel through the pages of books since she was a child. She started her first story at the age of eight, and has since authored nearly twenty books, including the acclaimed Seven Wonders Series, and the Time Travel Journals of Sahara Aldridge. She earned a Master’s Degree in Ancient and Classical History, and has traveled to Egypt, Greece, Jordan, Israel, Italy, and Turkey, researching her books and falling into adventures. A great exciting ending to this time travel series, this book was full of surprises and twists. I enjoyed it revolving around Highclere and King Tut’s tomb discovery. I’ll be seeking out more of the author’s books!
I have truly enjoyed this time travel series. The scope of times and cultures traveled between made for an enlightening adventure. The emotions and uncertainties Sahara and Jack experience in their quest are realistic and relatable. I highly recommend this entire series.
How do I even begin? A Time to Love along with the first two books in the Time Travel Journals of Sarah Aldridge is definitely going to be on my best series of 2021 list. I can not do justice to the adventure, suspense, and romance that Ms. Higley has written. These books have cost me sleep. I have been sitting on the edge of my seat today as I finished reading the last pages of this book. I love all of the characters and the settings...WOW! I am almost dizzy from the plot twists, but I would not change one word of these books. They definitely must be read in order. I am satisfied with Sahara's but now I want Persia's. I also would love to know more about the Tempus Vigilia. Hopefully, Ms. Higley will again choose to dive into the world of time travel and give us more!
So brew up a pot of tea, suspend your unbelief, and curl up somewhere you can block out the world. You are not going to want to be interrupted once you start reading. I hope you enjoy these books as much as I did.
A satisfying conclusion to this time travel trilogy. I'm not a lover of romance (which this is at heart), but I love the intricate complications of time travel and all the fascinating historic details. More than once I had to go to the Internet to look up the history behind the story. Higley has created her own system where some travelers can change history, but for others as soon as they return to their present, all they did in the past is forgotten and undone. Forgotten and undone prevents the unintended ripple affects of change, but there are times when undoing the changes would mean losing the love of your life.
There are references to a Higher Power potentially behind their abilities, but no over references to faith or Christ. The Epilogue, a letter from Sahara to her daughter, gets a bit preachy and would benefit from tightening.
I hope Higley writes some more stories with this theme. There was talk of the benefits of advanced medical care in the twenty-first century. I found myself thinking that once Persia is an adult, Alex and Renae could return to their proper time and live longer to return to vacations in the past with their daughters and grandchildren. And there are lots of new possibilities as time travel powers get focused on future generations. The one thing I had trouble with in Higley's time travel system is that the travelers always appeared in appropriate dress down to shaved heads for male slaves in ancient Egypt.

I love this time travel trilogy and this the final book does not only take us once again across many countries during different time periods, but also forces Sahara to reconcile with her past. She finally manages to find her long lost family who she had been trying so hard to connect with, spanning thousands of years to find them, however she realises that before she gets to grips with the person who had caused all her past hardships she could not look forward to her future. And now her future looked like something really worth looking forward to. She and Jack Moretti against all odds started to not only trust one another but to love one another, so much so that he was ready to give up going back to his own time in the distant future for Sahara, just to stay with her. Can they reconcile with Gaida Moretti after all she had done to her family, nearly ruining her whole life? Will Gaida ever give up on her search for a revisionist to once again build her business by robbing the artifacts of the past? This last book is chock full of different cultures and lifestyles as we once again visit Venice, Egypt and England with all the dangers time travellers risk facing, but it also is full of family time and so much love and the ending is just what we were waiting for. This is a trilogy that just has to be read!
Book 3 of the Time Travel journals or Sahara Adridge and things are falling into place in this one. Sahara is one step closer to finding her parents but when she finds herself in the middle of an assassination attempt her whole past is in jeopardy. Will she be erased from her own story? We are again met with key historical occurrences in this book and I loved every bit of it. I am a stan for historical events and love the way they have shaped our world into what it is today so reading through these books makes me feel as though I was there in person. The romance between Sahara and Jack,,, gasp. I loved that jack was willing to give up his time in the time period that he belonged to in order to be with her. The baby? The future? Oh my gosh... tear. I also loved that the author writes in a nod to Harry Potter. It isn’t a real historical event but in the grand scheme of things it actually is for many people a huge part of their lives so seeing that in there was nice. The epilogue got me as well. It was a love letter to her daughter and I have to admit it made me a little sad. I know that a lot of people would like to know what happens in their future but sometimes it can hurt more than it can help.
A fantastic ending to a brilliant series. Sahara's adventures through time as she continues her search for her family and a happy ending. I have so enjoyed visiting all the places throughout the different centuries, possible because these are all places I have visited in modern times and where I have tried to imagine what they were like in antiquity. The plot is possibly the most twisty of all the books as Higley neatly ties all the strands of time together whilst finally revealing the true story behind it all. A great final read
Wow, this third book was amazing, excellent finale to the series, which should be read in order. Time travel has so many paradoxes and they couldn’t go to the same place/time twice. It really is a fabulous series. There is more talk of a higher power, but anyone should enjoy these books. They are clean and more action and adventure than romance. I loved the series!
This entire series was very enjoyable, believable, and engaging. I am amazed at how much detail the author had to incorporate into the storyline and I am in awe of her ability to do so seamlessly. This made for a very interesting read and kept me engaged the entire time. There is a lot of history and drama within and just enough romance to keep the story interesting yet not too much to make it syrupy and turn me off. Well done Tracy Higley.
Cracking conclusion to this really entertaining historical--ancient Eygpt, ancient Rome, renaissance Italy, early 20th century, 1970s--time-travel mashup that makes more sense than my simple list!
Sahara Aldridge is a likable, engaging, and effective protagnist. Soft time travel, high on historical fun with a large helping of suspense and a sprinkle of romance.
I loved this book. With it's many twists and turns in history, Tracy Hitler has done her research! From Ancient Egypt and back to 1922, to Italy and more, the threads are slowly, tantalizingly drawn together through happiness, heartbreak and a wee bit of awesome wonder, for a finale quite unexpected. Courage, dear reader! It's worth the time...
The Time Travel Journals of Sahara Aldridge are the best time travel books I have read. The characters are so real and endearing, and the travels through time are exciting, interesting and educational. The author’s descriptions of settings and the people of the various times brings these stories to life! It’s very difficult to put these books down once you begin reading them!
I realy enjoyed this series of 3 books. It was well written and vivid. The small suspence in the last chapter was just enough so you would want to hold your breath. Thisis a perfect holiday read with just the right balance of adventure, history, romance, sifi (it is time travel after all) suspence and drama.
This, the third book of the set, brings a conclusion to an exciting trilogy. The twists and turns are fast and not completely unexpected. But if you get sucked in, it's easy to miss the hints and find each reveal as surprising as Sahara does. I loved this book and I'm glad I found this trilogy.
This whole series was a wonderful read! I loved meeting Sahara, Jack and their families. All three books were full of so many twists and turns that made it hard to put the books down. I honestly could’ve read another book or two of their story. A must read for anyone who enjoys history, some slight nods to Biblical fiction, and time travel.
This is a love story and a story of reconciliation. A realization that how we live and love is more important than when we live. And that only the author of the universe knows the whole story.
Although, I am not someone that normally reads fantasy, I thoroughly enjoyed this final book in the time travel saga of Sarah Aldridge. So glad I was able to read one right after the other. It made it so much easier to follow the twists and turns of the timeline
It was a well written series and I enjoyed how all the time travel elements were carefully woven together. It transported me back in history and I fell in love with the main character, Sahara Albridge. Could easily see it as a mini series! Well done!
At the halfway point, this finally picked up steam. We had been getting pretty frustrated with the series, but the author finally brought it all together, although I couldn't help but think it could have been handled in a less complex manner. Great historical details.
As this time travel adventure is wrapped up, there are many questions answered. I learned a bit of history that was mixed in with the fiction. I enjoyed this series and suggest it to those who enjoy history and those who normally don't.
Sahara's adventures as she jumps through the past and future are amazing. This is a great trilogy. I loved the way Tracy Higley was able to weave all of the threads of time into a beautiful story with a happy ending.
If you have an interest in archeology, and the ancient sites of Egypt, just add time travel to the list, then you will love this trilogy! Enjoyed the storyline, liked the characters! What more could you want in an exciting read.
You know that only a small percentage of people can travel through time? It is really cool that folks can do that and when you do, you arrive looking and wearing clothing from the era that you arrive in. Great story and a lot packed in.
