Spend another season in Marigold and revisit Lydia, Angela, and the rest of the crew!
Wedding bells, natural disasters, and new neighbors make for a busy fall on Marigold Island.
After giving the Beachside Inn a glowing review, travel blogger Meredith Walters will be returning to walk down the aisle at the old inn. Between coordinating that event and planning her own wedding, Lydia barely has a moment to breathe.
An old acquaintance of Millie’s, Carl Hopkins, has moved into the recently vacated house next door to hers… and she’s anything but happy to see him. Long-forgotten rivalries resurface, and a dispute over a tree has each of them trying to recruit Marigold’s citizens to their side.
Meanwhile, Angela is worried about Jake being bullied at school, and Patrick needs to get started on his next thriller novel—except his creative muse is pulling him in an entirely different direction.
But all of that takes a back seat when a hurricane comes barreling toward the island. As everyone prepares for a potentially disastrous storm, the things that really matter rise to the surface.
Family. Friendship. Hope. And the enduring power of love.
Come dip your toes in the crystal blue waters of Marigold Island, a fictional island town tucked in next to Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. This heartwarming and uplifting women’s fiction will sweep you away (and it might make you a little hungry too)!
Perfect for fans of Caroline Brown, Pamela Kelley, Rachel Hanna, and Susan Mallory.
This series of books add up to a good story. The only issue I’ve found is with continuity. Blonde hair becomes brown and back to blonde. Someone transferred to the states to go to college but in the next book is back in college in Spain. Just small things like that that make you go “huh.”
Beachside Weddings: Marigold Island Book 6 is by Fiona Baker. This is a cute novel continuing the story of the people who live and love on Marigold Island. This particular book brings several of the love stories to a close and actually begins other ones, so the series goes on. Millie Davis is having a wonderful day. The sun is shining and the day is one of Marigold Island’s gorgeous days, perfect for walking to do her errands. Millie has lived on the island all of her life and doesn’t want to live any where else. Although she has never married, she is perfectly happy with her life and her friends. Today, she is going to see about new flowers to round out her garden in the back. As she heads for the greenhouse, she nods and talks to all her friends. Life can’t be better; but can it be worse? When she gets home, she has an unpleasant surprise. Angela Collins just can’t be in several places at once. She should be at the Inn making sure all the details for Meredith’s wedding are taken care of; but then, she has Kinsey, Meredith’s wedding planner to take care of things, she hopes. Instead, she is at a bridal salon watching Lydia choose a wedding dress. She and Grant just got engaged and are talking wedding in four weeks. Angela will just pay close attention to Meredith’s details. Then, she gets a call from her son’s camp, Jake has been in trouble and is being sent home. What in the world? Lydia is overwhelmed by the thought of a wedding. Even picking out a dress seems to be an ordeal even with her friends with her and her daughter on the phone. However, once she tries one on, things look much better. Her second wedding shouldn’t be a problem; but this one is special. Now to get the details taken care of. Everything seems to be going smoothly for Lydia and Grant’s wedding at the Inn. Just a few guests in the Inn to take care of and last minute details to be done. Then, disaster hits. A hurricane is headed straight for them and is to hit the day of her wedding. Switch to hurricane preparedness not wedding!
After reading book 6 in the series, I feel like I know these people. "Wedding bells, natural disasters, and new neighbors make for a busy fall on Marigold Island. Lydia's wedding is approaching, but so is a hurricane.
After the very beautiful wedding of Meredith, the travel blogger, they have even more bookings at the Beachside Inn. Lydia and Grant's wedding is approaching, but they think they must postpone it because of the approaching hurricane. However, the hurricanes passes by morning and with the help of family and friends, they are able to pull off a sunset wedding. Lydia is excited about beginning a new life with Grant as her husband. She is also excited about her daughter, Holly's engagement to Nicolas. Life is special on Marigold Island.
In our darkest hours, there can be a thread of light and hope. People find each other on this fictional island on which we’d all cherish to live. All sorts of folks share this world- chefs, writers, photographers, movie stars, bakers, firemen, and the two eccentric and darling women who had the grit to restore an abandoned hotel to a luxurious citadel. The author has a chirpy sense of humor. Her creation of characters we’d love to call our family, and please invite us all to those scrumptious weekly dinners.
Beachside Weddings By Fiona Baker I truly enjoyed this extremely well written sequel to this series. Your welcomed back to Marigold Island to be with familiar characters and meet a few new friends. Very enjoyable series and this book doesn’t disappoint. Story moves along well with great development of characters and the story. You se them grow and develop as you read. It’s definitely worth picking up your own copy to see what your own opinion is on this

What a wonderful series! I've enjoyed them all. This is well written, sweet & clean, a romance in a beautiful setting. As we meet new characters, we also to catch up with the previous ones.
This book was a comfort to read. I enjoyed the wedding of Lydia and Grant going forward in spite of the hurricane and Aunt Willie's new/old love. Saw that one coming.
This was just a heartwarming story. A storm can change everything to how we live our lives to who's important and also the simple things in life we take for granted. I hope you enjoy this as much as I have. As always happy reading
Awesome read, time to put the series down for a few days and savor the final two books before I catch up and have to wait for more lol.
This book didn't disappoint a wedding, hurricane and old new acquaintances become neighbors and then more in this exciting next book in the Marigold Island series. Highly recommend!
