GINA MAGEE is a spicy romance author who weaves the supernatural into the storyline of the books she writes. She’s currently working on her next book and is enjoying making it just as magical as the others. The East Texas Piney Woods is where Gina resides with her husband and two very spoiled Pembroke Welsh Corgis—Gypsy Willow and Sir Chesney.
I loved the little explanations surrounding certain practices, spells etc… it was a nice touch and gives readers a little more insight into Alex’s beliefs. The twists and turns were great, and I found myself reading through it really quickly.
This story was a joyful ride through a whirlwind first love, intertwined with magic and a dash of true crime. I loved reading this book & adore the characters. Be prepared for twists and turns, which FYI I'm usually very good at guessing plots early on but not this time.
Talk about a page turner 😍 I could not put it down, finished in one day! The story had every element you can think of.....Magic, spice, murder mystery, love story, corrupt cops, deception, you name it!!! Definitely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ all the way!
This book had me feeling all the emotions. I laughed and cried, was angry and a bit worried. There were plot twist that took me by surprise. I usually figure out things early in a book, this one I did not. Definitely a must read
My first read by this author loved this book it was our January book club read and we got to meet her and we all look forward to reading her other books
Great read! I couldn't put this book down. Its has everything I look for in a book..A love story that gets steamy at times and then throw in a crime to solve. Definitely recommended
This was a a good read. Although the style of writing is not my favorite. I was told a story. A very good story filled with angst, mystery and a distant murder. And, of course, a sweet and bumpy romance. The characters were interesting. But I did not feel the story. I did not FEEL A PART of the story. I easily put the story down to do other things which is very unusual for me. Overall, I was simply READ a story. So I leave it to you to decide. I won’t be reading more by this author. Perhaps you may enjoy it.
The writing in this book wasn’t for me unfortunately. The story was there, but I felt the over all execution wasn’t. I found the interactions between characters to be inauthentic and awkward and the light speed pace of the story was part of the problem. I almost DNF after chapter 3 because I struggled so much with the writing.
