This is my chance. A dream come true. I’m going to the Olympic games and I’m determined to win the gold. Nothing is going to stand in my way. That is until my coach tells me of an elaborate plan. Pretend to be dating the gold medal-winning, swimming playboy himself - Noah Adams. It’s publicity for me and kills the rumors about him. It’s a win-win - but is it? My reputation and Olympic chances are on the line, but I’m starting to get distracted by his muscular body, deep voice, and meaningless touches. I jump in with both feet and hope that I remember how to swim because I’m falling for this playboy.
Heather Dahlgren writes Contemporary Romance, sprinkling each book with a bit of humor, a lot of naughty and true love. She self-published her first book in 2014 and continues to do so today. Her over active mind promises the stories are in no short supply.
Heather grew up and still resides at the Jersey shore. She loves being so close to the Atlantic Ocean and the Pine Barrens. She is surrounded by the best of both worlds.
She is married to her high school sweetheart and has three kids. There is nothing more important in the world to her then her family.
When Heather isn’t writing you can find her getting lost in a great book, spending time with family and helping her fellow authors.
This was a very quick read. I didn't see pages, but would be novella length. This was a fake relationship turned real romance with instalove thrown in. Summary covers basics. I never understood why her coach would offer her up as an option and not be worried about the distraction so close to competition. He needs his reputation mended, she needs publicity? I could see that if she needed sponsorship, but this is literally the week before they fly to the Olympics. I'd think the distraction would outweigh the need for visibility. The main characters are likeable. No time for character development, surface level was fine for length of book. This is the second Olympics for the H and first for the h. Neither wanted the arrangement originally. She is nervous and he feels protective. He shows her the ropes and they become close quickly. The competition portion was unrealistic, at least on hers, but cute story. No cliffhanger or epilogue. We get a HFN. Told from Noah and Sophia's POVs.
Noah and Sophia are both heading to the Olympics and hoping for Gold medals. There coaches have some surprise tricks up their sleeves to help both their reputations along the way. When you are thrown into a fake relationship to help one another's reputations, what could go wrong?!? A fake relationship that turns into more than they expected. Two lost souls who found each other by the means of to help their reputations and one common goal, dive for the gold. They started out not wanting to have anything to do with one another for completely different reasons, but realized they enjoyed being together and wanted to share everything with each other, but when words are said they can't be taken back so actions need to be louder than words. "Okay, baby girl. I'm yours until you tell me otherwise." ~ Noah A quick fast paced Enemy to Lovers Slow Burn Must read! Heather absolutely has me hooked and I cannot wait for the next book in the series!
This was my first read by this author. It is a shorter book and is about Noah and Sophia who are competing at the olympics and have been thrown together to pretend to be dating to help salvage Noah's reputation. I liked how they started off as pretty much enemies but as they got to know one another, their walls started to come down and they ended up having a really beautiful relationship form between them. Noah doesn't have a great reputation with the ladies and it did surprise me to see how quickly he changed his ways for Sophia. I liked learning more about his past and what makes him who he is today. For Sophia's part, I loved how dedicated she was to her sport and how strong and independent she is. She doesn't need a man in her life and is happy where she is at but I think Noah was definitely a welcome surprise in her life. This book is a fast-paced and cute read.
Damn this had the potential to be a 4/5 star book but its so damn short I can only give 2 stars. Took me just over an hour to read it ffs
It starts off great, they meet and head to the Olympic Village, they have a great 1st week, argue, finish and then fall madly in love and win gold medals so incredibly easy.
Nah it doesnt work thst way, swimming is at the beginning of the Olympics always. Then there are qualifying rounds, and semi finals. Yet both miraculously get golds so easily. Noah gets 3 golds cos its thst easy!
What started out great becomes cheesy, corny, mills n boon ridiculous.
I'm so pissed!! I really want to read a great book about the Olympics esp as the paris Olympics are happening now and diving is one of my favs.
I feel cheated! Could have been awesome but didn't deliver, certainly missed out on the medals this time.
This was short, but cute. There are some discrepancies in the writing about the Olympic events. It sounds like Sophia only does one single dive. In Olympic competition, women perform 5 dives. I wish it had been a longer read to flesh out the characters and feel there was opportunity for the characters to face more obstacles and develop their relationship more. I would have liked to see Sophia actually confronted with one or more of Noah's past flings and seen him regret his past and maybe struggle in practice because Sophia was hurt. All in all, I liked it, just wanted more. I bought all 3 books at the same time, and am looking forward to reading them.
Okay , I have to say right off there may be a little bit of a SPOILER here. I really didn’t expect to end up liking this book. I honestly almost stopped reading it because I did not like Noah at all. But boy oh boy did he redeem himself when he started listing off everything she had done for the two days they were apart. My heart swooned right then. Ended up be a good book.
Noah’s reputation is bad, and he’s losing his golden boy image. So his coach decides he needs a nice, sweet girlfriend to help it. When Sophias coach says she needs something to make her more known to the public, she didn’t know he meant a fake relationship with no other than Noah Adams. They couldn’t be more opposite, no one is going to believe this.
Olympic swimmer, good as gold professionally but PR nightmare. His coach and another for a hopeful Olympic diver, think the two athletes can help each other professionally . No one expected the sparks to light a fire.
Cute story about the Olympic adventures behind the scenes
Sophia and Noah's love story starts out fake but takes a beautiful turn. They both go to the Olympics and the behind the scenes in the Village are wild and crazy. Love this short cute story.
Loved this story! Loved the instant chemistry between the characters and the quick way they both broke through the other’s walls. Loved the Olympics slim on the story and can’t wait to read the next one!
Thoroughly enjoyed this short, steamy love story - very timely with the Olympics running right now. Looking forward to reading the next in the series. Great job, Heather Dahlgren. ❤️
A fast paced, fake relationship that turns into something real, all while trying to win a gold medal! This was easy to read and had just enough drama to keep it interesting.
This was a very good short story that I enjoyed very much. It really started all that he was really an ass. But she put him in her place in his place. I really liked the Olympics. It was interesting.
What starts as a fake relationship turns into more for Noah and Sophia. These two are complete opposites but work well together. A read that keeps your interest from start to finish.
Even for a short story there just wasn't enough development in any of the plot threads of this one for me. I was pretty much bored the entire way through, unfortunately.
