We’re all here to win, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a little fun. I’m just as determined as everyone here to walk away a winner. I just believe you can achieve it even if you’re sleeping around and partying.
Layla Roberts does not believe that. She’s never seen off the track. Until tonight. Everyone talks about how they bet she doesn’t know how to even have fun.
I take that bet. I’ll show them all I’m capable of charming even the most reserved girl.
The problem is what started as a bet has turned into so much more. My fear now isn’t losing the gold - it’s hoping she never finds out how this all started.
It’s a race to the finish but what am I running toward - the gold or love?

Going for Gold

Hurdle is the second book in the Reaching for the Gold series and it was an entertaining story. Layla Roberts is twenty-one years old and is already an Olympic gold medal winner in hurdles. Aiden Green is twenty-four years old and is also an Olympic gold medal winner in running. They first met at the Olympics four years ago where they both won big but had very different reactions to it. Aiden became a young man who got more than a deserved playboy reputation while Layla concentrated on her training. Their paths cross again at this years Olympic games in Los Angeles where they are both competing. Aiden is a man who cannot turn down a competition and when his friends bet he cannot get Layla to have some fun the game is on. But as Layla will barely even look at Aiden he is going to have to come up with a game winning strategy. What neither anticipates is actually falling for each other and having a couple of weeks of smexy fun.

This was a nicely written book with an interesting story-line and two fun characters. Sure I wanted to smuck Aiden initially but he quickly turned himself around. There is some drama, laughs, and hot and sizzling fun in this enjoyable read.

Layla is a hurdle runner at the Olympics that does nothing but train...she wants to win and she wants to win gold. While other athletes are out partying and having fun in between competitions she can be found on the field practicing. Her coach forces her to go to a meet and greet for the track athletes and this is where this story gets good. Aiden is also a track athlete competitng in the Olympics but unlike Layla, he knows how to have fun. At the event him and a group of guys watch some girls walk in and he can hardly believe his eyes when he sees the gorgeous Layla walk in. Aiden has always wanted Layla and shot his shot at her four years ago at the Olympics and she shot him down....well lets just say a bet is made and he goes for it again. I love this book I love that it is fast paced but has a lot of steam. I can't wait to see what is next in this love at the Olympics series.

Another fantastic fast read by Heather Dahlgren! Sometimes the worst hurdles are the obstacles you set for yourself. Aiden didn't realize what he was setting him self up for when he agreed to the bet with his teammates. Layla was so determined and focused on winning she didn't realize she was falling for the biggest player around, until it was to late. Can they reach the gold that they both so desperately want without losing themselves to heartbreak in the Olympic Village. A must read that is lined up perfectly with the airing of the Olympics.

Layla and Aiden are both Olympic athletes but he likes to party and she wants to train. Her coach decides she needs to have fun too so she goes to the meet and greet for the track athletes. When Aiden sees Layla at the event he's determined to win her over and a bet is made with his teammates. Little did Aiden know that once he got to know Layla it became more than a game to him he wanted to win her heart. This is a fast paced, quick read packed with steam, Olympic drama, secrets, a bet, heartbreak, and a great ending. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Good read

It’s funny how one person has two sides. Aiden has a persona to uphold when he’s in the spotlight. The fame and good looks give him a playboy image that he doesn’t mind having. When he comes face to face with fellow track star Layla, he wants to leave the image behind for a chance at something special with her. Layla tries to avoid Aiden but she sees something special in him. A friendly bet takes a wrong turn and Aiden risks losing more than a gold medal.

Another great story!!

This Olympic story takes place with the track and filed team. Two runners that know each other by reputation get to know each other a lot more. A bet starts the whole thing but love win in the end. Again, loved the tie in with the Olympics and cannot wait for the next one!

Good Quickie

This was a good little quickie for laying outside on a hot summer day. It was a fun behind the scenes take on the Olympics and a good story. Admittedly, I didn’t really like Aiden much at the beginning but he remade up for it.

It Grabbed My attention and focus so strong I could not put it down. A word of advice when you get your copy. Grab a snack, a comfy seat, kick back and relax. You will not be moving until you finish this bad boy here. Remarkable job. Thanks for sharing.

Everyone wins

It was fun to read a story that was something of a behind the scenes take on the Olympics. I liked the main characters; I thought the story had “good bones” but could have used a little more detail.

A short but to the point story. It still has all the intense emotions I like in a long story. Gets right to the good stuff.

He sure was not nice in the beginning I was not impressed with him. She has work so hard to get to the Olympics. So proud of how they both ended up.

The Olympics Continue

Aiden makes a bet with his teammates,he can get Layla to relax and have a good time. Little does he realize it will be him having the good time. Layla sees a different side to Aiden she’s never seen before, until she realizes it’s all for a bet.
