Guillaume Musso

From his early childhood with reading books and plays, Guillaume Musso became convinced that one day, he too would write novels. After finishing high school in France, Guillaume Musso left for the United States at the age of 19. He spent several months in New York City, living with other young foreigners and earning his money by selling ice-cream. He came home to France with his head filled with ideas for novels. The readers can easily see the influence his time in the United States has had on him, as the action in his books takes place overseas. He currently teaches in a high school in the south of France, all the while working on his novels. His first published novel was with Editions Anne Carriere in 2001: Skidamarink, this novel did not reach out to the masses however, but his following novels published on XO Editions have all been hugely successful, some of them translated into 20 languages. His novel, Afterwards, has been adapted to the big screen and was in cinemas January 2009, starring John Malkovich, Evangeline Lily and Romain Duris.

مشكلة السعادة هي أننا نعتاد عليها بسرعة
كان كل شئ علي ما يرام، من أين إذا يأتي هذا الإحساس العميق بالوحدة؟

عزيزي القارئ، أنت علي موعد هنا مع مغامرة تطرح سؤالا يأتي في ذهننا علي الأقل مرة في العمر .. هل لو عاد بي الزمن إلي الوراء، هل كنت لأتخذ القرارات نفسها ؟ وأعيش الحياة نفسها مرة أخري بنفس الأسلوب، مع نفس الوجوه، ونفس الأيام بحلوها ومرها ؟
هل لو أعطاني القدر فرصة الرجوع إلي الماضي، هل كنت لأرتبط بنفس الارتباطات، والوجوه، والصداقات ؟
هل كنت لأقول نعم مرة أخري ؟
هل كنت لأكرر كلمة : لا ؟
أم سأغير نعم إلي لا .. وأحيا بناء علي ذلك حياة أخري مختلفة تماما ؟
هل كنت لأقوي علي مغامرة تغيير المصير؟ واحيا حياة مجهولة تماما، جديدة، بوجوه اخري، وايام أخري ؟
ولا اللي نعرفه احسن من اللي منعرفوش؟؟؟
مع هذه الرواية نعود لغيوم ميسو الذي نعرفه، بأسلوبه المعتاد المتوقع، الفانتازيا المشبعة بالرومانسية، وليس العكس ..
فانا لم أحب ميسو الرومانسي الذي يكتب بكثير من الاستطراد، والتطويل، والوصف، والمشاعر الفياضة بمناسبة، وغير مناسبة
غيوم ميسو .. دائما يلعب القدر في رواياتك الخطوة الأساسية، فمعظم ما قرأته لك مشبع بلمسات القدر، والذاكرة، والفلاش باك، والحاضر المقنع بالذكريات، والمستقبل الضبابي
كنت احتاج هذه الرواية الان، أن احيا في عالم غير متوقع باقتباسات مميزة .. وقد وجدت ما كنت ابحث عنه مع ميسو، دون توقع زائد، أو احباط مبالغ فيه

This is a great romantic suspense novel, with a hint of fantasy - consistent with Guillaume Musso's formula that works like a well-oiled machine.
After reading several of Musso's books, one might feel a certain pattern, involving an impossible love story that eventually becomes a delightful reality, with the script of a romantic comedy, including the witty punchlines at the end of each chapter or "scene".
But hey, it works! The writing is wonderful, almost addictive, the kind that makes you think "Okay, just one more chapter...!" (but it never is). And so it happened that I found myself reading this book cover to cover in just one night!
Sixty-year-old Elliott has never gotten over the death of the love of his life, Ilena, who died in a tragic accident thirty years ago. He gets a chance to go back in time and see her one last time. He receives ten pills, each one leading him to a brief encounter with his life thirty years ago - and each encounter has its own implications.
Should Elliott use the knowledge he has over future events to save Ilena, no matter the consequences?
The plot may offer some "easy fixes" to the complexity of time travel, but still this book is so compelling that you'd just have to forgive Musso for his inaccuracy. As for the ending, I will invoke my right to remain silent and let you decide for yourselves!

مليء بالمصادفات اللامعقولة، التضحيات الخارقة، والحب الذي يتحدى الزمن والمرض والموت والمسافات، ويتحدى الطبيعة وما وراءها حتى.
لكن من عجب أني أحببته رغم كل شيء، ولا تسألني كيف أو لماذا

Selesaiiiii! 🤩🤩🤩 pertama kali baca novelnya Guillaume Musso awalnya sempat bingung karena juga jarang baca tema yang begini. Tapi pertengahannya oke seru juga. Nanti kapan-kapan coba judul yang lain lagi 🤭. Suka persahabatan Elliot dan Matt.
Bahwa hidup kadang-kadang memberi kita hadiah ketika kita sama sekali tidak mengharapkannya. (Hal 314).

A not very interesting or particularly well written story. There were just a few touching scenes, and I found the most interesting parts were the quotes at the front of the chapters, and, these aren't written by the author.
The characters are flat and one dimensional and the premise that a doctor dying of lung cancer at 60 who is time traveling back to when he was 30 wouldn't tell his younger self to quit smoking is preposterous when he so evidently does not want to die. Ludicrous.

Când vine vorba de cărți care să mă impresioneze în vreun fel, pot spune că de la o vreme devine din ce în ce mai greu să fiu mișcată de scriitura autorilor. Recent am citit o carte lejeră care mi-a plăcut mult și m-a ajutat să mă destind (Tuturor băieților pe care i-am iubit de Jenny Han) și m-am bucurat mai apoi de Vei fi acolo de Guillaume Musso care m-a surprins în mod plăcut (cu toate că nu mă așteptam câtuși de puțin să o facă!).
Povestea chirurgului care își pierde persoana iubită și reușește într-un mod ciudat și misterios să călătorească în timp pentru a schimba ceva nu mi s-a părut la început intrigantă în vreun mod. Pe parcursul derulării acțiunii domnul Musso a reușit să îmi capteze atenția și chiar să mă facă să văd cartea cu alți ochi.
Faptul că personajul principal are posibilitatea de a acționa asupra deciziilor din trecut este un lucru pe care multe persoane ar dori să îl facă, însă oare este îndeajuns pentru a ne repara greșelile? Prin luarea altor decizii în trecut oare am putea deveni oameni mai buni cu o viață mai fericită? Sau oare am risca să pierdem multe dintre lucrurile dragi pe care le avem în prezent? :-) Practic, aceste întrebări nu pot avea un singur răspuns pentru că în viața aceasta există atât de multe direcții ale vieții noastre în funcție de toate deciziile (fie mici sau mari) pe care le luăm zi de zi.
Vă recomand această carte în cazul în care nu ați citit-o deja! Dacă ați apucat să o lecturați, aștept părerea voastră. Mai am pe listă Fata de hârtie de același autor, și am o presimțire că îmi va plăcea și aceasta.
Între timp, vă invit să îl priviți pe Totoro cum se bucura din privire pentru că reușise să miroasă iarba proaspătă și muscarii care ieșiseră timid printre firele de verdeață. :-) Nu i-a ajuns plimbarea prin iarbă (care s-a dovedit a fi și udă de la ploaie!) așa că s-a decis să se urce și prin arbuștii înfloriți ca să inspecteze terenul și de la înălțime.

شعرت فجأة بالرغبة في الغرق في عالم "غيوم ميسو" من جديد، لا أعلم هذه التجربة الكم في رحلتي معه! لكن قلت لنفسي لم لا؟! وقد وقع اختياري على هذه الرواية (هل ستكون هنا؟) وقد استند ميسو فيها على فكرة العودة في الزمن ورؤية من فقدناهم مرة أخرى وإصلاح ما أفسدناه وهذه الأفكار التي سبق وتناولتها العديد من الكتب والأفلام🙂
لكن، والأهم هنا _ويمكن هذه هى الفائدة الوحيدة منها_ الأسئلة التي ولدتها بداخلي هذه الرواية! ببساطة، هل لو كانت فكرة العودة بالزمن متاحة كنت سأقوم بها وماذا كنت سأفعل وما الغرض منها بالنسبة لي؟
ووجدت نفسي ببساطة أجيب بأني لا أريد مثل هذه التجربة وقد يكون ما سأقوله الآن "كليشيهي" لكن فعلياً أنا أرى أني نتاج ما مررت به وما حدث في حياتي في الماضي لا أريد تغيير منه أى شيء، ولا حتى الأشياء التي ندمت عليها لأن هذه الأشياء علمتني الكثير، وكانت سبباً في إعطائي الكثير من الدروس في حياتي، نعم، قد أكون لا زلت أقع في نفس الأخطاء، لكن الدرس في المرة الثانية يكون أقوى وأشد تأثيراً من سابقتها.
لوهلة شعرت أني ممتنة لماضي الذي لولاه لما كنت أعيش حاضري الآن بنفس راضية وممتنة لكل ما أمر به في حياتي!
بالنسبة لي، الرواية بها جانب فلسفي كبير _وهذا جديد بالنسبة لغيوم_ وأخذتني لمنطقة مختلفة تماماً عما كان مفترض منها!!
لكن، في النهاية يظل هذا رأيي الشخصي الذي قد تتفق أو تختلف معه.

HẸN EM NGÀY ĐÓ - Guillaume Musso
Guillaume Musso là một nhà văn nổi tiếng. Nhiều người đánh giá tiểu thuyết của ông hay hơn Mac Levi. Mình nghĩ rằng sức hút ở những quyển tiểu thuyết của ông nằm ở tính chất liêu trai phi logic. Nó mang một chút màu sắc ma mị và khó đoán. Truyện của ông thường có kết cục bất ngờ và kết cục hạnh phúc nhưng không trọn vẹn. Nó làm cho người đọc không thất vọng nhưng không hoàn toàn thỏa mãn dễ tính. Sự khắc khoải đó tạo nên dư âm cuối quyển sách làm ai cũng lưu luyến.
Hẹn em ngày đó cũng cùng một mô tuýp.
Câu chuyện về một bác sĩ ngoại khoa có người yêu bị chết rất trẻ. 60 tuổi, lúc mang trong mình căn bệnh ung thư phổi vì hút thuốc quá nhiều, khi có một già làng hỏi ông mong ước điều gì ông đã muốn quay lại quá khứ để gặp lại người yêu. Ông già đã cho ông 10 viên thuốc, mỗi khi uống vào 1 viên, ông được quay lại đúng 30 năm trước trong 20 phút. Ông đã gặp lại ông lúc 30 tuổi, được nhìn ngắm người yêu của ông. Nhưng không vượt qua được sự yếu mềm của con người, ông muốn cứu người yêu của ông khỏi cái chết và những rắc rối bắt đầu từ đây.
Cũng giống như quyển Trở lại tìm nhau mình đã đọc trước đó, những lần quá khứ được lặp đi lặp lại, được sửa sai nhiều lần mỗi lần ông uống 1 viên thuốc. Quá khứ thay đổi, ông trở về hiện tại và nhận ra cái hiện tại đó không như ông hình dung khi thay đổi quá khứ. Ông lại quay trở lại, tiếp tục sửa. Những dấu ấn của quá khứ, hiện tại cứ chồng chéo đan xen nhau như những lớp màu trên một bức tranh vẽ cuộc đời.
Mối quan hệ nguyên nhân - hệ quả xuyên thời gian trong Hẹn em ngày đó không như những gì ta nghĩ. Nó không phải là một kết cục thật ra đã có còn chúng ta thì quay cuồng trong đó, dù tưởng rằng mình đã sửa sai (ví dụ như trong truyện Harry Potter chẳng hạn). Điều này mình nghĩ rằng Hẹn em ngày đó chỉ dừng lại ở tính chất giải trí mà thiếu một chiều sâu của tư duy.
Tuy nhiên, việc có thể sửa lại những gì trong quá khứ trong truyện làm mình suy nghĩ. Mục đích duy nhất của nhân vật chính khi quay lại quá khứ là cứu được cả người yêu của mình mà vẫn giữ được đứa con gái mình trong hiện tại - người con gái không phải được đơm hoa kết trái từ người yêu đó. Nếu cứu được người yêu, ông sẽ kết hôn với người đó, đồng nghĩa cô con gái mà ông yêu thương hiện nay không có nhân duyên để ra đời. Ta chỉ có thể cứu được 1 người. Tham vọng lớn lao đó đã dẫn ông đến một sự trả giá khác: hạnh phúc của cá nhân ông. Ông cứu người yêu nhưng phải chia tay (để có thể gặp được mẹ của con gái ông). Sự đau khổ đó dẫn ông đến mất luôn cả mối tri kỷ với người bạn thân nhất.
Trở về quá khứ 30 năm, ông cứu được mạng sống người yêu nhưng đánh đổi bằng hạnh phúc của ông (và của người yêu bị ông bỏ rơi mà không hiểu nguyên do), với tình bạn của ông. Mình băn khoăn liệu như vậy là có đáng không? Trước khi quay trở lại quá khứ, dù dằn vặt và không khỏi nhớ nhung người yêu, nhưng ông có hạnh phúc với con gái và tình thân 30 năm của người bạn tri kỷ- cái hạnh phúc nguyên sơ trọn vẹn của một người không biết trước tương lai của mình.
Liệu rằng sống một cuộc sống mà mình đã biết trước tương lai có còn gì là sống hay không? Ta cứu được người thương nhưng lại không thể ở bên cạnh người thương đó thì có tốt hơn cho chúng ta về mặt cảm xúc hay không? Liệu người thương ta có muốn sống cả cuộc đời thiếu vắng ta hay không? Đó còn là sống không? Và ta có cần đổi một mạng sống hoàn toàn mang ý nghĩa sinh học nhưng mất hết những mối quan hệ tạo nên chất liệu của cuộc sống của bản thân hay không?

Nó không phải là một kết cục thật ra đã có còn chúng ta thì quay cuồng trong đó, dù tưởng rằng mình đã sửa sai (ví dụ như trong truyện Harry Potter chẳng hạn). Điều này mình nghĩ rằng Hẹn em ngày đó chỉ dừng lại ở tính chất giải trí mà thiếu một chiều sâu của tư duy.
Tuy nhiên, việc có thể sửa lại những gì trong quá khứ trong truyện làm mình suy nghĩ. Mục đích duy nhất của nhân vật chính khi quay lại quá khứ là cứu được cả người yêu của mình mà vẫn giữ được đứa con gái mình trong hiện tại - người con gái không phải được đơm hoa kết trái từ người yêu đó. Nếu cứu được người yêu, ông sẽ kết hôn với người đó, đồng nghĩa cô con gái mà ông yêu thương hiện nay không có nhân duyên để ra đời. Ta chỉ có thể cứu được 1 người. Tham vọng lớn lao đó đã dẫn ông đến một sự trả giá khác: hạnh phúc của cá nhân ông. Ông cứu người yêu nhưng phải chia tay (để có thể gặp được mẹ của con gái ông). Sự đau khổ đó dẫn ông đến mất luôn cả mối tri kỷ với người bạn thân nhất.
Trở về quá khứ 30 năm, ông cứu được mạng sống người yêu nhưng đánh đổi bằng hạnh phúc của ông (và của người yêu bị ông bỏ rơi mà không hiểu nguyên do), với tình bạn của ông. Mình băn khoăn liệu như vậy là có đáng không? Trước khi quay trở lại quá khứ, dù dằn vặt và không khỏi nhớ nhung người yêu, nhưng ông có hạnh phúc với con gái và tình thân 30 năm của người bạn tri kỷ- cái hạnh phúc nguyên sơ trọn vẹn của một người không biết trước tương lai của mình.
Liệu rằng sống một cuộc sống mà mình đã biết trước tương lai có còn gì là sống hay không? Ta cứu được người thương nhưng lại không thể ở bên cạnh người thương đó thì có tốt hơn cho chúng ta về mặt cảm xúc hay không? Liệu người thương ta có muốn sống cả cuộc đời thiếu vắng ta hay không? Đó còn là sống không? Và ta có cần đổi một mạng sống hoàn toàn mang ý nghĩa sinh học nhưng mất hết những mối quan hệ tạo nên chất liệu của cuộc sống của bản thân hay không?

اذا سألني أحدكم أن أتكلم عن الرواية في جملة واحدة سأقول:" لا وجود لقرارات صحيحة".
القصة ببساطة عن الطبيب "إليوت" الذي تسنح له فرصة العودة بالزمن إلى الماضي حين كان شابًا، وكان يظن أن الوقت كله أمامه، والحياة مجرد عبث ولعبة ليلتقي شخصًا ما يعني له الكثير.
رغم النهاية الدرامية للرواية أو كما تسمى "النهاية الكليشيهية" إلا أن للرواية معنى عميق وفلسفي، حيث يتحدث عن القدر، عن تقدم المرء في العمر، والقرارات التي يتخذها.
وعلى عكسنا، يتخذ "إليوت" قرارات تبدو له صحيحة وقتها لكنه يرى تأثيرها بعدها على المدى الطويل ويستسلم في النهاية قائلًا: لقد حاولت كل مرة أن آخذ القرارات الصحيحة لكن كما رأيت، الإمكانيات التي بين يدي كانت ضئيلة".
ستظل الحياة دومًا غامضة، وستظل دومًا تخبئ أجزاء منها لا يمكننا الوصول إلى مكانها، وسيظل دوما الشيء الناقص ناقصًا والوقت غير كافي حتى بعد 9 رحلات للعودة بالزمن.

Osobno ne volim ni knjige ni filmove s putovanjem kroz vrijeme, to mi je dokazala i ova knjiga. Ali dobro, nekome se možda i svidi. Vjerujem da nam je i prije našeg rođenja bilo zapisano što će nam se dogoditi u životu i da ne možemo ništa mijenjati. Da imam mogućnost uzeti te tabletice, ne bih to napravila. Ako želiš spriječiti nečiju smrt na jedan način, dogodit će se na drugi a nakon svog tog spašavanja, osoba će opet poželjeti da je mrtva.
Da rezimiram, nakon 4 pročitane autorove knjige, ova mi je definitivno najslabija, bila sam na rubu davanja samo 2 zvjezdice ali me ipak ganulo to prijateljstvo između Matta i Elliota (eto, čak ni ljubav).
"Među djelima o psihologiji životinja na noćnome ormariću ugleda posljednji roman Agathe Christie, kao i roman primamljivih korica njemu nepoznatog autora: Carrie Stephena Kinga. Preleti sažetak. Uf, pomisli odloživši knjigu, još jedan pisac kojega se već za pet godina više nitko neće sjećati..."
Monsieur Musso, nikako ne spominjati Kraljevo ime uzalud!!! Mislim da bi se to moglo dogoditi upravo s ovom Vašom knjigom.
Da rezimiram, nakon 4 pročitane autorove knjige, ova mi je definitivno najslabija, bila sam na rubu davanja samo 2 zvjezdice ali me ipak ganulo to prijateljstvo između Matta i Elliota (eto, čak ni ljubav).

Introduction: I was going through a number of books at the library when this tiny treasure caught my eyes. Well, the title and the subtitle fairly intrigued me (since I always loved these kinds of stories anyway), but I guess this is a story that will always make me wonder what the ending would be. Anyway, I’m sure most of us must have asked ourselves this question atleast once in our lifetime: if you could go back in time, what would you change?
Overview: Elliott Cooper is a sixty-year-old famous surgeon whose life revolves around his twenty-year-old daughter, Angie. He would have been perfectly happy if Ilena, the woman he was passionately in love with, hadn’t died thirty years ago.
One day, he was given a chance to go back to his own past and meets the young man he had been thirty years earlier. In that time, where the Seventies were going full swing, the young Elliott was a passionate, enthusiastic and ambitious young doctor who had no idea of the tragedy that he will cause the woman he loves.
Since then, the two Elliotts weirdly face each other, in a series of intense circumstances, debating and coming up with an agreement of saving Ilena. But saving Ilena raises complications involving his daughter, Angie and his lifelong friendship with his best friend, Matt. Not to mention the toll its adding to his fight for his own life – where he is suffering from lung cancer and with only few months to live.
My opinion: This book will make us believe in second chances, but will also raise a question – will you really dare to change something in your past? I think this book will appeal to those who have loved and lost, and wished for a chance to do things differently. Its an intriguing story about love, friendship, hope and destiny. Love – that transcends death, and the sacrifices we are willing to make, even the hardest one which is letting go. Friendship – that most of us are blessed with to have someone we can trust with our lives. Hope – that we will be able to change things for the better. And if not, that everything happens for a reason. And Destiny - that we do make our own destiny. But to change it after its done? I guess this book will give us that chance to go through it and later ask ourselves, what are you willing to give up to change fate?
Although I hate to say that the conversation seems flat at times, but I still applaud how the time differences of being in the past and in the future were established strongly. And the best thing that I love in this book… are the quotes at the start of each chapter.

PS : I rarely review french commercial books, and I don't really enjoy reviewing books during this particular period. but for "Seras-tu là" i will make an exception
This is for the one who has problems with "what ifs", trying to get the perfect direction, and playing with the odds + knowing that a simple wrong "NO" can really change a life to the worst direction.
The story is Nonsensical and difficult to accept, yet it is brilliantly written and plays with ideas that we all share to some level. (looping in time which is 1 dimension with a 0.5 direction is impossible) but considering the parallel universes and the fact that this book was written in 2006 then it is an amazing job. I found it difficult to let it leave my hands.
At some point i understood the protagonist choices But he may have forgotten that when you decide to hit rock bottom, Pain is part of the deal !
The question remains, what if the demons are still there, in the shadows waiting for the moment when love goes away ? all events aim to answer this question ...

Todos nos lo hemos preguntado por lo menos una vez: si nos dieran la posibilidad de volver atrás, ¿qué cambiaríamos de nuestra vida?
Si empezáramos de nuevo, ¿qué errores intentaríamos corregir?
¿Qué dolor, qué remordimiento, qué pesar escogeríamos borrar?
¿Nos atreveríamos realmente a dar un sentido nuevo a nuestra existencia?
Pero ¿para ser qué?
¿Para ir adonde?
¿Y con quién?
Así comienza esta primera novela que leo de Guillaume Musso. Aunque el final me ha dejado un poco con la boca abierta esperando más, le he dado las 5* por todo lo que he disfrutado con su lectura. Lo he devorado en menos de dos días. Una novela ligera sobre viajes en el tiempo pero para nada hace que te pierdas cuando el protagonista salta de un año a otro.
El motor principal para estos viajes es el AMOR como no podría ser de otra manera! También me ha gustado mucho la relación de amistad entre Elliot y Matt. De esas, hay pocas...

Superbe livre qui laisse espérer quoiqu'il donne les larmes aux yeux à plusieurs reprises surtout à la fin. Ah si on avait de ces pilules qui font revenir dans le temps et changer le passé. On se demande bien en lisant : si j'avais des pillules qui font revenir dans le temps comme Elliott, qu'est-ce que je changerais dans ma vie. Ce qui est beau c'est la lueur d'espoir et la possibilité d'une fin heureuse après plusieurs essais de modifier le passé. Et puis l'histoire d'amour entre Eliott et Ilena, cet amour qui ne meurt pas, si fort et si durable même après cinquante ans, même en restant sans se voir pour plis de trente ans. Cette amitié entre Eliott et Matt qui me fait dessiner un sourire aux lèvres en pensant à tous les amis que j' aime même quand ils sont loins, des amis que j'ai eus et que je ne vois plus assez souvent mais auxquels je pense sans arrêt . J'ai adoré ce roman.

Segundo libro del autor que he podido leer, y ya con La vida secreta de los escritores me pareció genial e interesante.
En ¿Estarás ahí? nos encontramos con Elliot un cirujano de 60 años dedicado 100% a su profesión. En una de estas peculiares misiones, y a modo de agradecimiento, recibe un llamativo regalo, unas misteriosas píldoras que dicen que le ayudarán a cumplir su deseo más profundo, en su caso, volver a ver a la mujer que nunca ha olvidado. A partir de allí, se desarrolla una historia de distintos viajes al pasado que le permitirán no solo volver a ver a Irina, sino también interactuar con su “yo” del pasado.
Ya conocemos el efecto mariposa, y aquí el autor experimenta con todas y cada una de las posibles consecuencias que puede traer, consiguiendo darle su toque personal.
El Elliot de 60 años es una persona madura, que ha perdido mucho, pero ha sabido aprovechar sus ganancias. Busca enmendar errores, porque conoce de primera mano, que una sola decisión equivocada, puede cambiar el curso de nuestras vidas.
El Elliot de 30 años es una persona aún atormentada con su infancia, y que no logra perdonarse. Y no tiene muy claro qué hacer con su vida sentimental.
Matt, el mejor amigo de Elliot, me ha encantado, por sus bromas, por su ánimo y por ese espíritu que muestra durante toda la historia.
La novela en sí no trata sólo de una historia de amor, sino de la posibilidad de volver al pasado para tener una segunda oportunidad y enmendar errores cometidos. La prosa es genial, una combinación entre complejidad y simpleza. Está narrada con la agilidad característica del autor, al principio con un ritmo más pausado, y hacia los capítulos finales con un ritmo bastante vertiginoso… de hecho me pareció bastante apresurado.
En definitiva, no es una novela romántica al uso, no es sobre los viajes en el tiempo, es simplemente una novela que lleva a plantearte, ¿Qué cambiarías si pudieras volver al pasado y actuar de un modo diferente? Y, sobre todo, ¿merecería la pena perder lo que ahora tienes por efectuar ese cambio?

Un roman, emoționant cu foarte multe intorsaturi de situatie.
Elliot, un chirurg renumit in varsta de 60 de ani, traieste de peste 30 de ani cu regretul de a fi pierdut femeia iubita, intr-un accident cumplit care i-a schimbat iremediabil cursul vietii.
Astfel, printr-o intamplare neobișnuita aceasta ajunge sa se intoarca 30 de ani in trecut,sa isi întâlnească propriul sine si in acelasi timp sa schimbe mana destinului.
A fost o carte cu foarte multe învățăminte dar si foarte trista al carui motto este: “Traieste si bucura-te de fiecare clipa ca si cum ar fi ultima”!

Koliko možemo gospodariti sa svojom sudbinom koja prolazi kraj nas i da li prolazi ili prolazi samo vrijeme? Je li unaprijed zapisano među zvijezdama što će nam se dogoditi ili smo pak gospodari svojeg života, pa i sudbine koja klizi i nečujno se šulja kroz vrijeme?Ova knjiga je jedna velika avantura koja nam o svemu tome govori.
Glavni lik je uspješan liječnik Elliot Cooper koji boluje od neizlječive bolesti, te svjestan da mu je kraj blizu, u jednoj humanitarnoj misiji u Kambodži zbog svoje požrtvovnosti i humanosti od jednog starijeg stanovnika dobije bočicu s tabletama koje omogućuju da se vrati u prošlost, te da popravi greške koje je tada napravio i vidi ponovno ljubav svog života, koju nije vidio punih tridesetak godina.Na prvi pogled, sam sadržaj knjige mi se činio banalan, tim više što ne volim nikakve fantazije u knjigama.
Međutim, čitajući ju malo pomalo, zaljubila sam se u glavne likove i s nestrpljenjem sam očekivala kraj, jer je svaka stranica koju sam pročitala dozivala drugu i neumorno vukla na daljnje čitanje.Ono što mi se svidjelo u knjizi je upravo način na koji Musso isprepliće dvije različite generacije , dva vremenska toka koja se međusobno nadopunjavaju i dotiču s jednom sasvim solidnom radnjom, gdje glavni junak odlazi u 70-te i ponovno proživljavajući svoju mladost kao 30-togodišnjak sreće svoju datadašnju djevojku Ilenu. Upravo taj "bijeg" kroz vrijeme me malo podsjetilo na dobre stare filmove "Povratak u budućnost" koje sam obožavala gledati, pa i sad bih ih rado pogledala.
Musso na vrlo maštovit način opisuje 70-te , te mijenjajući sudbinu glavnog junaka, ujedno mijenja i sudbinu ostalih protagonista knjige, a samim tim i svijeta općenito.Knjiga je pisana tako, da je na početku svakog poglavlja stavljen citat koji unaprijed određuje radnju u tom dijelu knjige. Dok sam ju čitala, postavljala sam si bezbroj pitanja ( to znači da mi se knjiga svidjela), premda i kad čitam nešto što mi se ne sviđa postavim si pitanje, ako ne više onda barem jedno, a to je : " Šta čitaš tu glupost? Kao da moraš???!!"No šalu na stranu.
Meni se osobno knjiga svidjela, jer u sebi nosi nešto što ja volim: Lijepu ljubavnu priču, zanimljivu radnju i ono najvrjednije po meni, a to je mašta. Budući da volim "maštovitost" u svakom pogledu, ova knjiga mi je baš dobro "sjela".Isto tako čitajući ju, ramišljala sam o tome,kako bi bilo da stvarno postoje takve tablete, koje bi nas vratile u prošlost? Da li bismo tada na pravi način reagirali i ispravili greške i neke krive riječi koje smo rekli ili bismo se i dalje ponašali poput "slona u porculanskoj radnji" ?
Sam autor kaže:"Za mnoge filozofe, prošlost i budućnost zapravo su dvije rane koje nam remete svakodnevni život. Glavni lik je uspješan liječnik Elliot Cooper koji boluje od neizlječive bolesti, te svjestan da mu je kraj blizu, u jednoj humanitarnoj misiji u Kambodži zbog svoje požrtvovnosti i humanosti od jednog starijeg stanovnika dobije bočicu s tabletama koje omogućuju da se vrati u prošlost, te da popravi greške koje je tada napravio i vidi ponovno ljubav svog života, koju nije vidio punih tridesetak godina.Na prvi pogled, sam sadržaj knjige mi se činio banalan, tim više što ne volim nikakve fantazije u knjigama.
Međutim, čitajući ju malo pomalo, zaljubila sam se u glavne likove i s nestrpljenjem sam očekivala kraj, jer je svaka stranica koju sam pročitala dozivala drugu i neumorno vukla na daljnje čitanje.Ono što mi se svidjelo u knjizi je upravo način na koji Musso isprepliće dvije različite generacije , dva vremenska toka koja se međusobno nadopunjavaju i dotiču s jednom sasvim solidnom radnjom, gdje glavni junak odlazi u 70-te i ponovno proživljavajući svoju mladost kao 30-togodišnjak sreće svoju datadašnju djevojku Ilenu. Upravo taj "bijeg" kroz vrijeme me malo podsjetilo na dobre stare filmove "Povratak u budućnost" koje sam obožavala gledati, pa i sad bih ih rado pogledala.
Musso na vrlo maštovit način opisuje 70-te , te mijenjajući sudbinu glavnog junaka, ujedno mijenja i sudbinu ostalih protagonista knjige, a samim tim i svijeta općenito.Knjiga je pisana tako, da je na početku svakog poglavlja stavljen citat koji unaprijed određuje radnju u tom dijelu knjige. Dok sam ju čitala, postavljala sam si bezbroj pitanja ( to znači da mi se knjiga svidjela), premda i kad čitam nešto što mi se ne sviđa postavim si pitanje, ako ne više onda barem jedno, a to je : " Šta čitaš tu glupost? Kao da moraš???!!"No šalu na stranu.
Meni se osobno knjiga svidjela, jer u sebi nosi nešto što ja volim: Lijepu ljubavnu priču, zanimljivu radnju i ono najvrjednije po meni, a to je mašta. Budući da volim "maštovitost" u svakom pogledu, ova knjiga mi je baš dobro "sjela".Isto tako čitajući ju, ramišljala sam o tome,kako bi bilo da stvarno postoje takve tablete, koje bi nas vratile u prošlost? Da li bismo tada na pravi način reagirali i ispravili greške i neke krive riječi koje smo rekli ili bismo se i dalje ponašali poput "slona u porculanskoj radnji" ?
Sam autor kaže:"Za mnoge filozofe, prošlost i budućnost zapravo su dvije rane koje nam remete svakodnevni život. Todos nos lo hemos preguntado por lo menos una vez: si nos dieran la posibilidad de volver atrás, ¿qué cambiaríamos de nuestra vida?
Si empezáramos de nuevo, ¿qué errores intentaríamos corregir?
¿Qué dolor, qué remordimiento, qué pesar escogeríamos borrar?
¿Nos atreveríamos realmente a dar un sentido nuevo a nuestra existencia?
Pero ¿para ser qué?
¿Para ir adonde?
¿Y con quién?
¿Estarás ahí? Es una novela exquisita.
Se fundamenta en el amor pero va mucho más allá de eso. Nos hace conectar con esa parte de nosotros que tiene miedo a vivir sin sentido, a caer en el olvido sin haber dejado una marca significativa de lo que somos en algo o en alguien. Es sencillamente una historia fantástica llena de reflexiones.
” En cierto modo, creía en el destino: las cosas pasan cuando tienen que pasar. Y el hombre debe sobrellevarlas.”
No toma nada de tiempo sentirse conectado y enganchado con la historia, que aparte de estar increíblemente bien escrita, te hace pensar: entre una de las cosas, en lo mucho que una decisión puede afectar el curso de la vida y también que de una u otra forma, las equivocaciones nos hacen crecer como persona ya que nos brindan el poder de la experiencia.
” Un miserable montón de pequeños secretos, eso es lo que somos todos.”
Los personajes de la novela son adultos y realmente curiosos, cada diálogo fue magnífico y verdaderamente inteligente. Cada uno de los personajes, que básicamente vienen siendo tres -Elliott, el amor de su vida y su mejor amigo- son muy buenos y han hecho de esta lectura una muy amena. Me ha encantado absolutamente todo de ellos.
”A fin de cuentas, aunque no se había encontrado nada mejor que el amor y la amistad para hacer soportable la vida, sin duda había situaciones de las que únicamente se podía salir solo.”
Totalmente recomendado. A pesar de ser una lectura corta, no es de esas de las que luego ni te acuerdas porque no dejan huella, todo lo contrario. Hasta dan ganas de volver a leerlo para emocionarse de nuevo.

What would you do if you were given magic pills that allowed you to go back in time and visit your younger self? Would you try to fix the things that had gone wrong in your life? Would you attempt to persuade your younger self to step in and attempt to inhibit major world catastrophes? What would you do if your first trip back resulted in a change you didn't want? How far would you go to set things "right"? Are our destinies pre-written and immune to change? Or can we, in fact, change the course of our lives?
This sweet, sometimes hokey, little novel explores questions such as these. I highly recommend it.

I loved this book! I love the time travel stories, the idea of changing the past in order to change the present is fascinating, also it's a very emotonal story about love and friendship. It reminds me of "22-11-63" by Stephen King, I wonder if it was the book who inspired Musso to write "Seras-tu là".

الماضي، بكل أخطائه التي لا تغفر، بكل زلاته و لحظات أفراحه، الحاضر بكل ما فيه من ندم الماضي و خوف المجهول، و المستقبل بكل ما فيه من أمل و رعب! كلها لحظات علينا بكل قوة أن نعيشها، أن نخوضها و نحارب خلالها. لكن السؤال المهم، لو، فرضًا، لنقل أنه سنحت لك الفرصة تغير الماضي، مع خوفك من تغيير الحاضر و قلب المستقبل المبهم، هل تعود إلى الوراء و تغير؟ ماذا تغير؟ ما عواقب التغيير على حاضرك و مستقبلك؟ كيف ستتحمل كل التقلبات و ما هي خطتك لحماية أولائك القريبين منك؟
أسئلة كثيرة تضع نفسها عمدًا و بالقوة بعد سؤالٍ واحد بسيط، اعتباطيٍّ و خيالي ، لو أُتيحت لك الفرصة في أن يعود الزمن إلى الوراء، ماذا كنا سنغيّر في حياتنا؟
عاش إليوت ما يقارب الستين عامًا قبل أن يُسأل هذا السؤال، حينها لم يخضع لخيالية السؤال و يسمح لأسئلة أخرى بالتدافع، بل سلم الأمر للحلم و تمنى شيئًا واحدًا، رؤية حبيب مضى الزمن دونه و بقي عالقًا في الماضي. لكن ليس كل ما في الحياة خياليًا _ على الأقل داخل الكتب_ لذا كان له ما تمنى لكن ليس كما تمنى.
إليوت بكل عقده، ندمه، خوفه، سعاداته القليلة او الكثيرة غير المعترف بها، تتاح له فرصة لتحقيق أمنية، هي بسخافة و بساطة رؤية ذلك الحبيب، لكن الخطة البسيطة و التي كان من المفترض أن تكون لحظات، خرجت عن مسارها في مكانٍ ما، و قلبت العالم من حوله. زياراته لنفسه لم تكن بتلك البساطة، بل و كانت أعقد من أن يتساهل بها أي من أطراف العلاقة، شخصه الحالي، المستقبلي (أو الماضي)، صديق العمر مات، و حبيبة العمر إيلينا. لكن الزمن دائمًا ما يكمل مساره دون الوقوف عند التعقيدات، دائمًا ما ينسى أمرنا نحن البشر (و بشر الكتب) و يسير إلى الأمام بخطى واثقة، يشفي الجراح دون أن يمحي الندبات، يزرع الهدوء، الثقة، و الأمان. لكن أبدًا لا يلغي تأثير الماضي و كل ما حمله.
رواية قد تكون أكثر من مجرد رواية، هي عالم بشخصيات كاملة، شخصيات عانت، تحملت، و قررت إلا أن قراراتها لم تُضع دائمًا حيز التنفيذ كمعظم القرارات، رواية بفلسفتها الخاصة، فلنقل البسيطة، تحملنا إلى عالم من الاحتمالات اللامتناهية، و الأحلام اللامنطقية. رواية كتبت لاعطاء شخصياتها فرصة ثانية للحياة بل و لإعطائنا نحن فرصة للتفكر و التأمل.
لن يمكنني إلا أن أذكر في الختام العمق و البساطة، التشويق و الحماس في الاسلوب، و التفاصيل في بناء الشخصيات كعادة غيوم.
ختامًا يجب أن أقول أن النهاية لم تكن متوقعة لكنها ليست بفخامة نهاياته الصادمة الغريبة، هي نهاية مريحة لشخصيات الكتاب و لنا على حد السواء، دون فلسفات و تعقيدات الختامات. فليعش الجميع بهدوء و لطافة النهاية.

I love Musso's formula of romantic suspense with a hint of fantasy!
His writing is addictive and I'm hardly able to put down the book. It's an easy read but with beautiful life lessons that leave you with many questions about you and the meaning of life.
Life it's just a string of decisions but do we realize how even an insignificant decision can lead to a totally different life than the one you were supposed to live if you took the opposite option?
Even more than the romantic story, I enjoyed their friendship story.
Also, the symbols and evens from the '90s and '00s were a very nice touch. They made me so nostalgic and they reminded me of the beautiful years of my youth.
Second chances, destiny, love beyond death, loyalty - these are only some ingredients of this gripping story.
Because I was wearing make-up and cried, at the end of the book I looked like a raccoon. :-)

Muốn đọc thử 1 cuốn của tác giả này, và thấy cuốn này được nhiều người khen nhất nên mình chọn đọc trước. Và kết luận sau khi đọc xong là hiện tại mình không còn muốn đọc thêm cuốn nào khác cùng tác giả :(.
Nói chung thì điểm để khen là thể loại lãng mạn mà có pha thêm yếu tố viễn tưởng, ly kỳ nên khá mới lạ. Nhưng tình tiết truyện quá dài dòng lê thê kể lể, tính cách nhân vật nam chính thật sự khó ưa, còn nữ chính thì nhạt nhòa. Và lỗi nặng nhất, cũng chính là tình tiết mấu chốt mà tác giả đưa ra lại là một lỗi suy luận vô cùng sai lầm trong di truyền học, thậm chí không cần hiểu biết sâu cũng nhận ra cái phi logic này. Mà tác giả cứ đưa ra làm lý do cho hành động của nhân vật chính hoài làm mình thấy vô cùng kệch cỡm và buồn cười. Chắc sẽ khó mà đọc cuốn khác của nhà văn này trừ khi có 1 trường hợp đặc biệt nào đó :/

Непоправимо осакатен от кошмарния превод и липсата на коректор.
Не може да има изречения от типа на "сълзите и течеха", "взе си партакешите и си тръгна", както и редица повторени думи и съюзи в книга, претендираща да е минала през коректор.
Фразата "gone for good", която абсолютно всеки с дори средни познания по английски знае, че е идиом и се превежда "да си тръгнеш завинаги", в тази книга беше преведена като "да си тръгнеш за добро". И това е само един пример.
Като съдържание романът се опитва да разгледа идеята за "ефектът на пеперудата", но просто не се е получил добър резултат. Героите са плоски, двуизмерни, действията са накъсани и цялосното усещане е за ненужна фрагментарност. Личи си, че това е ранна творба на Мюсо, в която той все още търси стила си.
Давам две звезди, а не една, само защото съм фен на по-късните му романи.

لا أؤمن بإمكانية تغيير الأحداث، لا أصدّق فكرة أنّ لو هذا لم يحدث لكنتُ بأفضل حال، لأنني ببساطة أؤمن بأن الله يختار لنا الأفضل، ومهما بدا لنا القدر شرًا فهو خيرٌ من غيره وإن لم نستطع أن ندرك هذا.
في هذه الرواية يجسّد لنا الكاتب فكرة الثمن الذي يجب أن ندفعه لو أردنا تغيير حدث ما، أو منعه. الثمن الباهظ للغاية والذي يصعب علينا أحيانًا أن نتقبّل فكرة دفعه.
كانت رواية رهيبة، مؤلمة، ممتزجة بالخير والشر، الصواب والخطأ، الطيبة والقسوة، وكمية أسرار هائلة.
وحب أهوج/هادئ الوتيرة، وصداقة حقيقية نادرة.
أحببته، وأحب على العموم كل ما يكتبه هذا الكاتب العظيم.
إنه يبهرني في كل مرة.

La novela tiene un argumento arriesgado: la posibilidad de viajar en el tiempo y las consecuencias que eso puede tener en el futuro. Es una novela con mucho ritmo y continuamente juzgas las decisiones de Elliott con las que no siempre he estado de acuerdo. Se lee en un suspiro. Es innegable que Guillaume Musso tiene el don de dejarme enganchada a cada una de sus novelas.
