It's so awesome to see such a great compilation of works by one of my favourite artists. I really enjoyed that there was input from Araki himself, explaining his process and how he got to this point (including some of his other works before JoJo!!). This is a good little refresher for some of the characters and parts of the story if you haven't watched/read JoJo in a while. You will have to keep in mind that it only gets to the beginning of Part 4, but it's still really cool to have a book that focuses on the older (and I'd argue more iconic) artstyle. Incredible art!

kinda wish it included art from more than just the first four parts of jojo’s (i think it released in japanese right after part 4 ended) but still really cool. seeing araki’s process for making art was dope. hope they release an artbook that has stuff from the later parts at some point🤞🏻

I really like Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and it's art style so naturally I wanted to read this book. I think these are the only prerequisites for someone to enjoy it. The only thing I can count negatively is that the font size is tiny and at times reading it gave me a headache. Overall a pretty book to have in your collection.

"I think of my work as something close to a diary. Rather than set it aside or let it steep, I try as best I can to draw my art in a single take and move on, rather than keep on amending it, or to set it aside and come back later, because I want to value my emotions in that moment."

For 4 of my friends on Insta

Man I love JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Read all volumes of Phantom Blood Battle Tendency Stardust Crusaders & Diamond Is Unbreakable as well as Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe played a couple of games on PS5 watched the anime on Crunchyroll halfway through Diamond listened to heaps of JoJo openings on YouTube & Spotify even though they're Japanese I watched various JoJo collection videos on YouTube I eventually post some JoJo content not just on my @shadowstevereads bookstagram account or my @shadowsteve91 Insta gaming account but on Twitter (I'm still calling it Twitter) Tiktok & YouTube & I'm just about to start reading Golden Wind for my 1st time

I haven't got a favourite part (yet) coz I haven't start Golden Wind just yet coz I said I'm just about to start reading Golden Wind I'm yet to check out Stone Ocean Steel Ball Run JoJolion & soon to be The JoJoLands

JoJo 6251 Hirohiko Araki's World originally came out in Japan in December 1993. Well it's translated by VIZ Media & it's released here this year

So I spent 3 nights reading JoJo 6251 only to learn more about JoJo like the artwork the Joestar family tree from Phantom Blood to Diamond Is Unbreakable & his earlier works like Baoh & I reckon it's a must read coz I like it & it's great to learn more about JoJo

Araki’s art is just so COOL.

Whether you like Jojo or not, you can’t deny that the art and style are unparalleled. It’s so tincture and so fashionable. There’s truly nothing quite like Jojo—and Araki, who brought the world of Jojo to life.

Which is all to say that if you enjoy Araki’s work, you will definitely enjoy this art collection. It’s a fascinating collection of drawings, character designs, and profiles on Jojo elements. An interview with Araki closed out the collection—in which he confirms that he is just a cool guy who likes crafting fun stories.

Definitely recommend~

Beautiful JoJo's art book covering Parts 1-4. The text is a little small in the encyclopedia/timeline sections, but is otherwise an amazing trove of lore. I'm so happy that this got an English translation. Araki's art is stunning, as always. As a JoJo's fan, I could not ask for a more amazing treasure.

I really enjoyed seeing all the wonderful coloured artwork from Araki, a lot of really nice additional information in the second half of the book. I would have loved to have seen more of the process / materials used in some of the pieces displayed but overall a very good Manga Artbook by once of my favourite Mangaka. Great amount of content for your money.

Gorge and has a lot of extra interesting detail about jojo, I wish Kira had been introduced by the time this was written because I was really excited to see him but really interesting anyway.

Its kinda hard to write a review for an art book but this one is fire and probably my second or third favorite

The art is beautiful. Also has a family tree (that doesn’t include anyone past part 4 just as a warning) but it’s still helpful. It had a page detailing Mr. Araki’s process with doing his artwork. Overall very insightful, I loved it!
