Abe Moss has been writing horror stories for as long as he can remember, and hopes to never stop. He loves creature-features, psychological horror, supernatural horror, cosmic horror, you name it. With each book he writes, he hopes to try something a little different. The possibilities are endless and that's what he really loves about storytelling. He hopes you'll enjoy his stories, too!
Another great book by Abe Moss and in The Dread Void series. This book focused more on the town where Tessie lives, Tessie, Lisa and Nell. It was creepy, unique, action filled and a page turner. You got to learn more about the lives of the characters and their pasts, including Hux. I'm glad this is a series and I look forward to reading the next one. Each are unique stories with different horrific creatures and issues. I like that they are stand alone books but also great as a series. Bring on the next book. I'm ready!
I received the ARC free for an honest review. As stated above, this is book 3 in the series. You need to read the series in order. This a horror book . The characters are well developed. Each book has a different story, but the characters are developing more as the series continues. Personally, I really loved each of the main characters. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
Another wild horror ride with Abe Moss! This third installment in the series is a slow starter, but around 80% it slips into high gear and goes completely and brilliantly off the hinges. If 80% seems like late in the story, let me assure this is a fast-paced book that reads like a movie. There are times when Abe Moss's horror stories remind me of the classic Hollywood monster movies I grew up watching with my father on Saturday afternoons - there's a familiarity to the horror elements that Mr. Moss uses, and them he ingeniously builds them up - masterfully ramping up the disgust, fear, and terror levels. I'm all in on this series as long as my favorite character, , survives...
Best friends Nell and Lisa are reunited, but all is not well in Tessie’s house. Although the girls share a troubled past, Lisa refuses to talk about her suicide attempt and begins to withdraw into herself. Meanwhile, strange and chilling events happen to mourning neighbours, and soon Nell is once again in the grips of a horrible evil. Beyond the Phantom Glow is the third book in a chilling and imaginative series by horror author Abe Moss. He creates a unique universe, and great characters with all of their fears and emotions. An awesomely creepy story in a thrilling series! I received a preview copy of this book which I am voluntarily reviewing.
I liked that we got a glimpse of some relatives of our merry band of supernatural heroes! The set up for Book 4 has me excited can’t wait till after the New Year! Hux is loveable and a curmudgeon, but I think he’s showing more humanness. Lisa finally let’s us in and also I think that Tessie is a badass! I like that she is known as “the good witch” lol even though it’s more psychic, that she locates missing people and was a nurse. Can’t wait to find out more about Nell’s cosmic past!
This series gets better and better. I thoroughly enjoy this writer. Well thought out, very descriptive, plenty of mystery and horror and it doesn't disappoint. The story is about two separate events which eventually become embroiled with each other. I would like to see more of these characters in the future if possible. Well done Abe. I received a complimentary advance copy and my review is voluntary and honest.
This is a wonderful addition to this thrilling series! Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable. Great suspense and action with wonderful world building that adds so much to the story. Such a thrilling read that I couldn't put it down. Can't wait to read more of these. Recommend reading.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
Another great story as Nell, Tessie and Hux continue their work against evil entities. This time though their work doesn’t coincide. Hux is out doing his own Dread Void work while Nell, Tessie and friend Lisa have their own battle to fight. Their paths overlaps near the end though. I am a little worried about Hux however…..he seems to have gotten into the some trouble. Can’t wait to see what it’s about.
I received a free copy in exchange of an honest review.
Why are people suddenly plunged into dark despair in Marrow Falls? Tessie and Nell suspect that the cemetery has all the answers. The aftermath of their visit to the cemetery has a terrifying outcome. Abe Moss has crafted another page turner in the Dread Void series which gave me the chills. I enjoyed reading this book.
Intrigue, mystery, suspense, and danger -- how can you go wrong with all of these elements combined? This story was interesting and engaging with likable characters and a fast-paced, unpredictable plot. Truly a joy to read!
*I received a complimentary ARC of this book in order to read and provide a voluntary, unbiased and honest review, should I choose to do so.
What do you say when you love a book so much you devour it in a few hours. OMG! This series is awesome!! I hope Abe Moss keeps writing these books. I love the personality of Nell, Hux, Tessie and Lisa. You can feel along with them, laugh with them, try to help them and be scared with them. Please read these books you will love them!
Another strong book the Dread Void series! Entertaining storytelling with new monsters to deal with. Liked how the author developed the main characters further, very relatable, except for their special powers! Love the author's writing style. Looking forward to the 4th book in the series.
In the third book of The Dread Void, Hux is a wee bit distracted, Nell is a little wreckless, Tessie is a badass, and Lisa finally reveals what has happened. This book was a bit slower than the last two but the ending was intense! Abe Moss has truly created an insane world in the Dread Void. Highly reco
With this 3rd book, the pattern of Abe Moss’ “Dread Void” series is established: the supernatural forces of good vs. a particular Big Bad evil enemy. Or, in this case, TWO Big Bads—and the way the two plot lines come together is tasty indeed! I will now go start reading vol. 4.
I think horror is the most exciting form of literature. If you can relate, then look no further than the Dread Void trilogy. Have you been waiting for a new Stranger Things season? This series should do much more than satisfy that science fiction horror itch.
Intense chiller. People in Tessie 's hometown are crying uncontrollably then disappearing. Hux is busy elsewhere. Someone asks Tessie and Nell for help. Who is the man with the suitcase? Where are the people going. Can Nell help the town and her friend Lisa before it's to late.
Love this series and intend to keep reading everything written by him. Grateful for indie writers; otherwise I might miss out on some truly gifted writers of this genre.
This one was really cool. I love how the author can come up with the most amazing and unique stories. A "man" who walks around preying on people with a suitcase that is literally hell. The part with the "worms" falling on Tessie's face-CRINGE.
Another fantastic paranormal adventure with Nell and her friends
What I'm loving is these stories keep building on one another. It seems both Nell and her best friend Lisa have some unusual powers. And what's with the Dark Void? I can't wait to read more. Excellent
Abe Moss really knows how to capture his readers and get you invested in his stories and characters. I liked this one a lot, and I’m looking forward to the next book in the series!
Great characters, and very creepy setting. I’m anxious Lu awaiting the fourth book in this series! I think I’ll go back and read more of this authors work!
Book 3 continues to be as interesting as the others. I like how each book has a unique, yet still lovecraftian, threat. Looking forward to the next book.
