Unveiled

Rate this book
If someone told Tatum six months ago that she’d be running down the road in a wedding dress, she’d have laughed. With each step of her white flats, she realizes it’s really no laughing matter. But with the help of strangers, she at least has a safe place to hide. Now all she has to do is solve the mystery of her parent’s death and get her life back.

All Rush wants after a grueling ride through four states is to walk into his new home, fall face down on the first piece of soft furniture, and sleep for hours. When he arrives, however, he discovers an addition to his bedroom that wasn’t listed in any of the closing documents. . .a drop-dead-gorgeous woman, wrapped in a towel, singing off-key into a hairbrush.

Can a serial relationshipist unveil the heart of the passionate but wounded woman posing as his housekeeper or will his emotional unavailability destroy their newly forged connection?

I suggest reading the Salvation Series by Corinne Michaels before reading books in the Society, but it is not a requirement.

Key Points for this story in the Salvation Society Collection:
- Romantic Suspense / Contemporary
- Heartbroken SEAL, New to Cole Security
- Runaway Bride
- Salvation Series connection is Mark and Charlie

I cannot even begin to express how much I loved this book. It was so hard to put it down because all I wanted to do was read it and when I wasn't reading it, I was thinking about it. From Chapter 1 I was hooked, when we meet Tatum and she is fleeing the spot of her would be wedding, I just needed to know her story and what led her to this point. I also found it so endearing that complete strangers (Mark and Charlie) pulled over and helped Tatum and gave her a safe place to go and get her life sorted out without any questions asked or without knowing her story. It was really incredible. Then we have Rush enter the scene and his and Tatum's first meeting was pretty memorable and explosive. I really loved how big and tough Rush, was so sweet to Tatum. Sure they had their moments when they first met but he let her stay with him when he really didn't know her or her story. He is one heck of an outstanding guy and honestly one of my new favourite book boyfriends. Tatum has a rough past and has dealt with a lot of grief and pain in her life and I loved how Rush and his friends at Cole Security were really there for Tatum and helped protect her and get her life back. This book is so beautifully written and I didn't want it to end. I highly recommend checking it out and I so need to know if there is a book about Charlie and Mark!!!!!

I've barely met Verlene Landon, as it was in a couple of anthologies, but I will say that Unveiled is totally my jam, and I couldn't get enough. Tatum pulls a runaway bride when things felt off about her marriage, and luckily, she found some people to help her along the way. Rush's life has imploded so he moves to Virginia to work for Cole security to give him a fresh start, so it's in his new house that he comes across the crazy lady singing. The sparks are flying though, but this isn't quite a meet cute since he has some issues so his personality definitely was off from the jump, but luckily, Tatum certainly can hold her own when it comes to this dude. Each of these two is just what the doctor ordered for the other so it's only a matter of time before the sparks ignite. If that's not exciting enough, here comes the suspense to get the heart racing while dropping f-bombs at the twists coming in hot. Unveiled was an amazing story that I truly believe everyone needs in their lives so hit those one click buttons! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is the first book I have read by this author and I absolutely fell in love with the story and the writing. Tatum left her wedding before she married. She found out some things that made her run and with good reason. When two strangers pick her up and offer her a fresh start she takes it. I mean wouldn't you? What she doesn't expect is to have someone by her side protecting her. Rush has been through so much and he's about to uproot his life for a change. And when he walks into his new place the last thing he expects is a stranger in his own. It's like Snowwhite and Goldie Locks. LOL Rush and Tatum don't really hit it off in the beginning, but they form a friendship that grows into so much more. These two are so unlikely that they worked. Until someone tried to take Tatum and she's about to fight for her life. When secrets emerge about Tatum and her family well they will be shocking. Fall in love with friendship and lust.

Verlene was a new to me author. I want to be her friend now. I found myself smirking so much between Rush & Tatum. I just want to know what goes through her mind when coming up with some of the banter between these two characters. Rush’s personality has been one of my favorites so far. Between the dancing and joking, he was so refreshing. Tatum was laid back but not a doormat. She took and gave right back. She almost got stuck in a marriage that surely would’ve ended in a bad way. She took a chance and now she’s gets a life with Rush. And honestly? That’s going to be a pretty good fictional life to live.

Tatum is in it deep! Like so deep she has to pull a Julia Roberts to escape a date she knows in her heart will be her undoing! When the perfect strangers give her the rescue she needs to get figured out she will never be more grateful for the direction her life takes.

Rush is thought to be an uncaring untouchable asshole. But while most think he wears his aloofness like a bade of honor, he is really using it like a cloak to shield himself. When he arrives sparks fly as they meet and he realizes she can dish it as good as he can.

With the trouble following her past Rush knows he has to help her for her to have a real chance at a future. Hopefully one with his mind altering muscle goo oozing, disco loving self.

Tatum has so many questions so when she has the opportunity to escape the marriage that she is beginning to doubt is the right thing for her future she doesn’t hesitate. It must have been destiny when Mark and Charlie came to her rescue as they gave her the means to regroup and brought Rush into her life.

After his life imploded Rush is looking for a new start in Virginia working for Cole security. His first meeting with Tatum, the housekeeper he didn’t know he had, was humorous and he soon realizes that not only doesn’t he want her to leave but he will protect her with his life.

Tatum and Rush were exactly what the other needed as they take us on a journey filled with intrigue and romance which also allows us to catch up with the characters from Cole Security.

I loved everything about this story--Rush’s tough guy persona and his penchant for disco (I mean, who doesn’t love disco??), Tatum’s sassy attitude and quirky personality, and the tongue-in-cheek Runaway Bride references. It’s always fun watching a tough guy find his soulmate, and when Rush finally realized it--WOW. The man fell hard. The author did an amazing job of bringing them to life and weaving all the threads of Tatum’s backstory together. It was also fun to see Mark and Charlie’s antics included.

Unveiled reveals a storyline that will have you holding your breath and sitting on the edge of your seat as Rush and Tatum draw us into their world. Two people that have covered their hearts are given the chance to release it to each other but old habits are hard to break. Their story is full of suspense, drama, heat, passion and enough angst to have you hanging on to each and every word. These two will steal your heart as they navigate the rocky road to free their hearts from the past. A captivating story that has you falling in love right along with the characters.

I love Verlene Landon's books so much. I absolutely fell in love with Tatum and Rush's story. The two are like night and day. Rush is starting over after a failed engagement and Tatum is barely treading water after the death of her parents. With the help of Rush and the rest of Cole Security, she's determined to bring her parents killers to justice. This book was so fun to read and I can't wait to read more.

Verlene is a new author to me and I really enjoyed this book as part of the Salvation Society books.
Tatum has run off in her wedding dress knowing things are not as they seem. Rush is moving to Virginia Beach leaving his old life behind. He is a strong, adorably funny alpha man who loves Disco.
Their story is really good, easy read. Hot Hot Hot

The main characters this book where so relatable and well written, I fell in love with the instantly. Rush's saractisc side and use of jokes to make himself comfortable is a very relatable trait to me since that is my goto reaction most days. I love how Tatum does take any of Rush's bullsh!t. This book is a great read for an afternoon by the pool or drinking at the beach. I was given an ARC of this book for an Honest Review.

Verlene Landon has written a great and disco filled story about Rush and Tatum. Rush is an amazing character that is everything Tatum needs and deserves, but is so easy to run in the wrong direction to keep herself safe. It is an amazing story of suspense and finding true love that will last a lifetime after tragedy and heartbreak. This is an amazing story not to be missed in the Salvation Series!

Mystery suspense, a bit of disco, and a beautiful romance what more could you want in a book. Verlene Landon is a new author to me, but I was impressed with this storyline, which will pull out your heartstrings as Rush and Tatum's story unfolds, from a runaway bride to trying to find out where you fit, this is one couple that you will root for all the way.

I love the banter and wit between Rush and Tatum. They are...quirky, for lack of a better word. I mean, disco? Seriously? Well, ok then. There was an underlying sense of suspense throughout the book until the end when everything wraps up. I loved reading this book. There’s so much more to it than I can put into words.
