It doesn't even know what kind of game it wants to be in this volume.

Meh

Just to be upfront. There's no spelling or grammar issues that I found. I read the first book and enjoyed the premise alot, and hope the author would evolve their writting style. It didn't happen.

Unfortunately the writing style is very similar to a light novel written for children or young adults. Character interaction is minimal, and mostly made up of stereotypical tropes. Elf women with big breasts, dark elves with flat chests, giggling and squealing kids. It just isn't the type of writting that I could enjoy. The overall plot was decent, although there were some fairly major plot holes. Staff holder's meeting takes place, yet Pepe isn't there, but somehow in another town? World building, and flipfloping POV internal dialogue for multiple characters makes it difficult to follow exactly who's thinking what given each character has internal dialogue just a paragraph apart from another.

Stats don't make sense either. Heros with base strength 10 taking more than a second or 2 to kill a hill giant with strength 4... There's just alot of inconsistencies.

Finally the super Japanese trope of lolicons, i.e. pedophiles. It's extremely disgusting to see the author continue to use subjects like this.

I cannot in good faith recommend the book or author to anyone.

It goes beyond what the anime currently is at, episode 07 I mean, but it feels rushed toward the end. The rebellion was nothing but a gore showcase.

So far the 4x mechanics seem to be working on this well but as we see in the next volume the author screws up badly. and so many overuse of "nay" too, use a thesaurus or phrase it differently. It just felt lazy haha.

I'm at 50 page to finish vol 03 but damn, it goes sideways. I'm not sure if I'll continue the series.

I think that this one lives up to the first novel and keeps the story going with thrills and chills. The addition of new characters is pretty good except for Pepe, I don't really care for him and his instructor. I look forward to the next installment in the series and love the graphic artstyle from the manga. Give both a try if you can.

Good

It has become good set of events. I like how there isn't any wasteful information. The author is doing a good job of moving the storyline. The cliffhanger at the end was good. I can't wait to read the next volume.

The series continues to be a light, fun read. A bit of dark comedy in this one, the setting begins to expand, and a confrontation is set up for the next volume that should be interesting.
