The last thing eighteen-year-old Rowan needs is a protector in the Russian mob.

I don't do relationships.
Falling for boys is a surefire way to get yourself killed in the mob.
Better to avoid young men with bashful smiles at all costs.
Except one day, I see a boy named Rowan eating ice cream at my brother's engagement party.
He's my brother's fiancé's best friend, and everything from the binky around his neck to the ducky socks on his feet calls out to my internal Daddy.
Before I can stop myself, I write a note offering him a one-month stint as my housekeeper in my Manhattan penthouse.
But there's something Rowan doesn't know.
The agreement ends in thirty days... But once I let Rowan into my dangerous world, I'll be damned if I let him go.

Mafia Daddy is a full-length MM Daddy romance with an age gap, a growly Mafioso with a sweet side, and a dorky little who refuses to let his protector take a nap without a goodnight kiss. Not for those who don't like age play, littles, and oh-so-cute HEAs that will give you ALL the warm fuzzies.

This is book 2 in the series (though there was also a free prequel given by signing up to the authors newsletter). It can be read as a standalone. However there are updates on the previous couple so it is best to read in order if you intend to read the previous book. I have not read the previous book but after reading this I am definitely going to read it even though I now know what happens to them and I will definitely read future books in this fabulous series.

I absolutely loved this OTT sweet story and could not put it down. If Mafia isn't your thing trust me just read it. It is so cute. Igor may be a ruthless leader of the Russian mob but he just turns all soft and melty for his boy. Rowan is unlike most littles. He is not afraid to be dress little in public and is feisty and not afraid to stand up to the ruthless crime boss. For Igor it is love at first sight but Rowan has been hurt before and needs some persuading so even though this has a instalove feel it is also a slow burn that just evens it out perfectly. It's a lovely quick, low angst and medium steam read. I absolutely loved the characters and thought that it was really well written. I can't wait to read more.

I seriously loved Rowan and Igor!! Igor was so growly…loved it!! Rowan seriously needed a protector and Igor could see that, but Igor also needed and wanted to take care of Rowan. I loved how Rowan tested Igor and Igor passed with flying colors. I loved how Igor didn’t want to push and rush Rowan into anything he wasn’t ready for. The story was really well written, highly recommend! I’m voluntarily reviewing from an advanced copy that I received. My reviews are solely based on my thoughts and opinions.

Ohhh I was so wrong...I thought this might be interesting but the writing was a complete downer..

Example #1
"When I finish showering, I towel myself off and dry my massive muscular chest." - I don't think I have read a character refer to himself with a" massive muscular chest"

Example #2
"His big, beautiful uncut man cock, shrouded in the most delicious foreskin." Wait what? Man cock? Since it was never stated that this was a non binary/trans story, Im going with the thought that all the cocks are Male!

"Igor’s meat stick throbs against my cheeks..." There are so many different terms than 'meat stick'

Example #3
"They're packed with sperm, packed with Igor's delicious man babies." - Huh? I equate the world delicious in a food context..this sounds cannibalistic.

There are grammar mistakes with the wrong punctuation everywhere. No just no!

Its ok

I enjoyed parts of the book, but I really thought it was very contrived. Most of it just doesn't make sense to me.

I enjoyed the first book in this series, and connections between the characters there and those in this book, make the meeting of Igor and Rowan logical and believable. I really enjoyed the way the characters were handled in this story. Igor is clearly a dangerous man and no attempt has been made to soften his edges or make him seem anything less than the bad guy he is. He does, however, have one vulnerable spot and that is Rowan. We see another side of him, only with Rowan. Then, there's Rowan. It can be so easy in these stories to make the "little" so naive as to be unbelievable but Aster Rae has avoided that completely. From the first, we see Rowan as a character that is sweet and loving, but not at all naive about who and what Igor is and what kind of relationship he is getting into. The fact that both go into the relationship with their eyes wide open yet still manage to be surprised by the other and by their feelings is just delightful to see. Another wonderful read in a great series.

This was my first Mafia book with daddy kink. Wow, what a combination!

I loved this combination of romantic, hot scenes and excitement. Mafia Daddy is the second book in the series but it was without a Problem to read it alone. Also for a not native English speaker it‘s easy to thread this lovely story of Igor and Rowan.

Both guys know what they want, but Rowan has trusting issues and Igor has his mob. It’s great to follow these two guys to their lovely HEA. You‘ll meet also the guys from the first book again, always something what I love in series.

I am really enjoying this series so far!! I highly recommend this book and series to anyone who like Mafia romance, daddy/little kink, etc. I really enjoyed reading Igor and Rowan's love story and how trusting Igor was to take things slow with Rowan. And how Rowan was trusting enough to tell Igorhis past and why he has trust issues, etc.

I love the mafia trope so this was always going to be up my alley. I enjoyed the first book in the series as well but I felt this one was more well done. Rowan is such a cutie and he fits well with Igor. I think Aster Rae is just going to keep getting better and I look forward to future books in the series.

Patience and trust win out

Igor is the perfect Daddy for baby boy Rowan. Rowan has trust and abandonment issues so it take Russian mobster time and patience to win his heart. There is introducing his boy to BDSM and the mobsters lifestyle and lots of cuddles in this book.

Rowan and Igor are a Daddy and boy who are both wary of a relationship. Add in the complications of the mob and personal secrets, and this book is a fast paced slow burn romance.

Rowan has the vulnerabilities of an 18 year old Virgin who knows himself well as a boy in kink, but otherwise is completely innocent. Igor is a Russian mob leader who is nothing but grunts and viciousness on the outside… But luckily, Igor is all cuddles on the inside!

The build up of their sexual tension and Daddy Dom/little boy relationship felt natural, and the kinks that come out of it so hot! There is everything from foot fetish to rope work, impact play to bath time.

This is a sweet Daddy story with a mafia rivalry plot ongoing through the series. So many cute and funny moments. Excited for the next!

Really sweet story of Rowan getting his daddy.
Rowan is happy who he is and knows what he wants in a daddy
When Igor first sees him he wants Rowan so makes a job up of housekeeper for a month, for Rowan to accept. The money would come in handy for his collage fund.
Even though Rowan is reluctant to take the job on knowingly Igor goes through boys quickly, he take the job on with stipulations.
Their relationship builds up quickly with Rowan testing Igor and Igor being a perfect daddy.
Even though Igor is part of the Russian mafia , Rowan loves that about him as he is able to keep him safe and protect him
Thoroughly enjoyed the second book in this series.

I couldn’t wait for Igor and Rowen’s story and it didn’t disappoint! I love the dynamic between Igor and Rowen. I wish Igor was even more growly ;) It was a little slow for me in the middle for a bit but the end made up for it. I don’t know how the author does it but every book sets me up for the next one, and has me certain it will be my favorite one yet <3 I received and ARC copy of this book for an honest review.

Sweet boy, sweeter mafia daddy

Great story. I like that it continues themes from the previous book. You may be able to read it as a standalone but it will mean so much more if you read the series in order.

This is the 2nd book in the Russian Protectors Mafia series and involves a very determined little and an extremely smitten Mafia Daddy. Igor usually keeps things casual with his boys, but the moment he sees Rowan he HAS to have him. Rowan, on the other hand, is looking for a forever Daddy and has definite plans to make his new Daddy prove that he has what it takes to be the only Daddy Rowan will ever need. This story was a little repetitive for me from Rowan's standpoint....he wasn't going to rush things and it was mentioned a few too many times for my liking. I did enjoy their Daddy/Little dynamic once they finally got into it....Igor is a very caring and attentive Daddy and wants to shower his boy with everything his heart desires. Rowan is a handful but Igor is up for the challenge.

It is so fluffy and I loved watching Igor and Rowan’s relationship grow!

Boring and awful

I’m sorry but this book was truly awful! Igor is supposed to be this badass Mafia crime boss but he was distracted by thinking about Rowan in little kid clothes surrounded by stuffed dinosaurs most of the time. Like really? I’m supposed to believe this guy is scary? Plus he waves his gun around at his own family members when they irritate him and threaten to put a bullet in their head. And I’m supposed to think of this guy as a Daddy Dom? Impossible.
Also, Igor hires Rowan as a housekeeper even though he already has a housekeeper/assistant named Inessa, who apparently doesn’t dust very well. Ya that’s the job Igor hires Rowan for, to look under the furniture for dust bunnies and Igor, a supposed big-time mafia boss, goes on a page long rant about how irritated he is by the dust bunnies under his furniture that Inessa leaves behind. Seriously?
Then there’s Rowan’s supposed horrible past which turns out to be a deadbeat dad and a mom arrested on trumped up drug charges and a stepfather who yelled at him after baseball games for daydreaming instead of playing the game. Rowan was never beaten or raped or hurt physically in anyway. He had a good relationship with his mother and was raised by a woman named Mrs. Faye since he was 12 years old after his mother got arrested. You meet Mrs. Faye in this book and she’s a lovely woman who dotes on Rowan and embraces his little side. So Rowan didn’t have all that bad a life but the way this book goes, you’d think he grew up in a sex trafficking ring. It’s ridiculous! I’m just glad I borrowed this through Kindle Unlimited instead of buying it because it’s that horrible and over the top cheesy! Don’t buy this book! You’ll regret the loss of your money. Trust me on that.

Igor Antonov et Rowan (18 ans)
Pakhan

Inessa (assistant russe )
Demetri (cousin mafieux sociopathe impulsif)

« Oh. »

« Cuddleofagus », dit Christian sans hésiter.

« Oh mon Dieu ! » Je serre Cuddleofagus contre ma poitrine. « Il est adorable. »

Cela me détend instantanément.

Christian laissa échapper un grognement. « Ça a l'air tellement romantique. »

« Regarde. »

"Je te déteste."

« Tu me remercieras quand Igor sera ton papa. »

I love littles and their Daddies, so of course I wanted to try one with a dangerous Daddy and a sweet little.
But for me this book is just over the top in every way.

Every man is grumbly and growly when they speak, there's some strange fascination with foreskin and this whole housekeeper thing is odd.
Igor didn't seem like the leader of a mafia family and the plot just didn't work for me.

I seem to be alone in not liking Rowan very much, I felt his character was all over the place. He wasn't just bratty he was very bossy, and it seemed strange how he got to boss Igor around so much.

It was also strange how a mother who met Igor for two minutes could be okay with how they were acting, know very specific details of her son and the much older boyfriend's sex life and not question any of it.
How sexual they are in front of Rowan's grandmother and friends.

I get that it's fictional but it's impossible to believe how people react.
If consent is your thing to read about, it's being done to the point of exhaustion here.
The book is very sweet and I'm sure enjoyable if you just have to suspend any belief in reality while reading it.

DNF @ 45%. This was bad in a weird way, with the writing style and with the characters. After reading the 1st novella, "New York Daddy", I was feeling very leery about the rest of the series, but I was willing to give it a second chance. I really tried to like this, but once again, I felt zero chemistry between the two MCs, and the writing style was off-putting. There are some authors out there who write in a stilted fashion where almost every sentence starts out on a new line.
As in, no paragraphs.
And most of the sentences are short declarations.
Like this.
And it drives me fucking insane.

I don't know why some authors do that, but if I had to guess, it would be that maybe they're trying to increase the page count? I don't know, but it really makes the quality of the book plummet into barely-tolerable levels. I want to read flowing, continuous narration and dialogue in actual paragraphs and with appropriate breaks. Every time you start a new line, it usually means it's a clean break from the previous line/paragraph to either continue on a slightly different track of the current subject or to move on from the subject completely. So every time an author writes in this stilted style, I want to pull my hair out because all of those new lines could have been put into one clean paragraph. Instead, the flow of the story is very choppy and unappealing, and I'm left wondering who the hell approved this for publication.

As for the characters, Igor was very bland and I tolerated Rowan because I was curious about why he was so guarded. When it came time for Rowan's big reveal about his past, I felt like the audience was led to believe that he had suffered some major trauma, but it turned out to be something a lot less than what I had been thinking of. Now, that's not to say that there wasn't anything traumatic about what went on in his childhood, but with the way things were worded, I was expecting something bigger.

I'm really disappointed in this series and I will not be reading the other ones I had marked as to-be-read. It's so hard to find MM romance with possessive partners, and it's hard to find quality Daddy/boy romance. I thought I had found the jackpot here, but it was a false lead. I'm very sorry to the author, but this was just...bad.

Okay, so, Aster Rae is my go-to author for OTT daddy/little boy mafia romance. And over the top it was again. Although, sometimes not in the right way.

To be honest, this book felt so rushed that the characters felt flat and rather boring. There is zero character building for Igor, he's still the grumpy and barking man. Rowan did grow a bit, his confidence did grow. But to be honest, it wasn't that believable anymore when it was dropped what his "worst, break-up worthy" secret was. Like come on, if I knew my mom was put in jail on false charges, and I had someone like Igor around, I would have asked for a favour to begin with.

The first 40% or something of the story I kinda liked, but around that mark, when Rowan and Igor decided to continue with their relationship if lost most of my attention and I was becoming rather bored of it. The plot, which is never really there in these books to begin with, I mean it's not like I read these books for the plot, was even more all over the place than normal.
During the sexy/bdsm scenes the negotiating was overdone to the point it lacked any meaning. I know that talking about consent is necessary, but if you are going to name only “ejaculation control” as a hard limit, it really comes across as if there wasn't a talk at all but it was thrown in there to check a mark.
Besides, and this is a critique I have with all the books, their movements and how they hold their bodies is often really hard to visualize. Like the scene where Rowan gave Igor a foot job, what? How? But also the two spanking scenes. It was written that Rowan was tied up. Yeah, to what? An Andreas Cross, a bench? To the ceiling? No clue.

I really hope this book isn't a warning for the rest of this series because I've read most of the others. (That actually comes after this series, but I'm a bit of a muffin, okay.) And I really liked those. Not that they were like super good or anything, but I liked them enough to want to read more. So yeah....

DNF @ 46%

This was my third try at this series, and it's three strikes and you're out. The utter nonsense here is beyond my capability to endure.

Rowan's friends have all hooked themselves up with rich Russian baddies. Rowan is a little. A confident little. So confident that he has no problem dictating to his prospective employer (more on how ridiculous that is in a moment) how he will be dressed during work because it makes him comfortable. Um, what? So confident, and yet apparently so bloody stupid or naive to believe that a job offer to be a rich mafia dude's housekeeper for a month for $50,000 is actually legit. And actually believes that the former "housekeeper", an actual RUNWAY MODEL, was actually a housekeeper and not a kept man. That should have been enough for me to tap out, but I am a slow learner (I'm working on that). And because of that, I was treated to the ridiculous "I'll set up tests for him to pass to see if he's worthy of being my daddy, because I have trust issues and don't believe he'll stay, but when he passes all my stupid tests, I'll still not believe in him because (I guess) this story needs angst, and what better way to indulge in that than my nonsense push-pull?" And if that weren't bad enough, the prospective daddy going along with all this bullshit? A freaking mafia boss. *side-eye* Um, yeah, ooookay.... Give me a break. I won't be dipping my toe in this author's pool anymore. There's OTT, and then there's this. I don't know where all the great reviews came from, because it feels like we had to have read completely different books.

Steamy, sweet, and precious. This author is amazing at mixing dark Mafia humor with stuffies and cozy blankets. This MM age play story is light and fluffy and oh so sweet. (Not something to take seriously but something to savor and enjoy.)

I adored Rowen so much. Out of the prequel story and the first two books, Rowen, was my favorite Little. He held his ground and didn't back down or get pushed around by the sexy billionaire with a gun. Rowen learned how to trust and grumpy Igor, learned how to love and protect his boy.

I also loved that Igor was all about consent and even educated Rowen about being safe in the BDSM community. Igor didn't take, he reassured Rowen and respected his boundaries. (You go Daddy Igor!)

If you are looking for a quick and adorable read with a touch of Mafia humor I recommend this series. This author is great at writing stories that make you want to snuggle up in a blanket and smile.

Rounding up my 4.5 to 5 Stars for this sweet and simply fun read.
