Four nights. Three cities. Two people, running from our pasts. Will one more night ever be enough? * He was everything I never wanted… and everything I craved.
When I met the elusive author Jonas Hällström, I let my guard down, even though Jonas hinted at a darker past.
The kind of past I've sworn off.
Just one night won’t push my limits...right? * "Richly sensual and magically woven" - Goodreads "Deep, thoughtful and super sexy" - Goodreads * Series order: #1: Temptation & Seduction #2: Warning & Redemption
Temptation, together with the other three novelettes in this series, can be read in third person under the title, One More Night.
"The characters are likable and believable, and the sexual chemistry is intense. For those looking for a quick, smoking-hot read, this latest from Hunter will be sure to set them on fire while still embracing a romantic, feel-good vibe." - from Library Journal's starred review of Best Laid Plans
"Hunter has written her protagonists with great depth, carefully revealing how their pasts have shaped their personalities in this page-turner, which is filled with vivid sex scenes and intense emotion." - from Publishers' Weekly's review of One More Night

Rebecca Hunter's new series of short, sexy stories gets off to a steamy start with One Night in Stockholm. What would you do if you only had one night in a foreign city and you find yourself attracted to the one man you shouldn't want? That's the dilemma good girl Alice is faced with when she finds herself insanely attracted to the very sexy, very intense Jonas Hällström.
What follows is a sexy night in the Swedish capital city. Will lead to more? Well, there's another book in the series--One Night in Paris--and more to follow later this year, so I have the feeling we'll be seeing more of Alice and Jonas.
Should you read it? Most definitely. You will love this erotic short story. It's beautifully written and will have you wanting your own encounter with an intense Swede.
"He leaned forward and whispered in her ear, 'But we all have many sides, sides that we don’t always let show, don’t we?'”
Ahhh, I loved writing Jonas, a man who can't get over his past. He's everything Alice has stayed away from... and everything she wants. But just one night won't push her too far, will it?
This is the first of four episodes in the Stockholm Diaries, Alice series. I started this project over a year ago to explore how to create shorter bites of satisfying romance. The stories take place in three different cities: Stockholm, Paris and New York, all fantastic cities that I love. The stories get steamier, more emotional and a little darker as their romance unfolds.
Great short story. Deep, thoughtful and super sexy. One night hook up in a foreign city, what more can anyone ask for to bring out the subdued desires inside you.
Richly sensual and magically woven novelette, March 23, 2017
I received an Advance Reader Copy for One Night In Stockholm by Rebecca Hunter and voluntarily reviewed this book. This is the first installment of a four-part series. Alice O'Connor is an agent in charge of acquisitions for a publishing company. She was in Stockholm from NY to meet with this elusive and mysterious author, Jonas Sällström, but seemed to have missed him at the Stockholm Book Expo. She later runs into him at a local pub, when he introduces himself to him. She was only there for one more night, but she had made a solemn promise to herself to swear off bad boys like him. Or should she? What difference could one night make?
By the time I had reached the end of this short story, I absolutely did not want it to end there. You can feel the tangible want, the magic, both of these characters at a crossroads almost, reaching for the other...kismet in full force. What this author wrote so eloquently was pure magic. I cannot wait to see what happens in the next three installments!
I don't usually read short stories, but after reading the blurb of One Night in Stockholm I decided to give it a go. It didn't take me more than 25 minutes to finish this story, and I really enjoyed it. The main characters had great chemistry, and I especially was intrigued by Jonas. He was very intense and sensual in his approach and I really liked it. We get a bit of background info on Alice, and why she avoids guys like Jonas. However, she can't resist spending one night with him in Stockholm. This first episode was a great start to Jonas and Alice's story and I am looking forward to seeing how it will develop. I am especially intrigued by Jonas' past.
A short novelette about two characters thrown together by a chance business meeting. It's definitely got some steamy scenes, but my favorite part is really the opening, seeing how the chemistry of the two is working. There is a long slow build to a sudden impulsive decision to make it a night to remember. I really enjoyed it; Ms. Hunter creates wonderful characters. Honestly, though, I'm mostly looking forward to reading the whole series. There are hints dropped throughout that indicate there's much more to these two than fit in these few pages. I'm looking forward to reading more. (I received ARC ).
This a book about a young woman in Stockholm for business. She meets a man who she feels is wrong for her but, can not stop being attracted to him. It is just one night but, she finds herself in Paris with him. A story that will hold your attention. I recommend reading this book!
Temptation (The One More Night Duet Book 1) by Rebecca Hunter – The first half of this duet was free on Amazon, but I want the rest now! Be prepared to be in the same boat! Happy Reading!
This was a quick, hot read! If you were single and only had one night in Stockholm, what would you do? This story is a perfect example of a GREAT night! Can't wait to read more of this journey.
I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
A great novelette and quick read in one sitting. Definitely worth the time.
A bit more steamy than Rebecca Hunter's past Stockholm stories, but, personally, it never crossed a line into unseemly and I love the descriptions and romance of Stockholm that Ms. Hunter evokes.
I really enjoyed the character development and hints at more details to be revealed later and am looking forward to following the characters through the series. With the hints that have been dropped so far in this story though, it feels like Ms. Hunter could be walking a thin line with the direction of our characters. Here's one reader who is hoping that whatever is in store in the upcoming chapters that the "redemption" that is hinted at will be handled deftly by Ms. Hunter.
Traveling to Stockholm gives Alice the chance to try something new, to be someone different for the day... but the more she experiences as this alternate self, the more she likes it.
In this series, I'm exploring the following question as a writer: How can I make shorter romance more satisfying? Part of romance is growing attached the characters and becoming invested in their emotional lives--a tall order for a short story!
My solution is to write episodes, snapshots of these characters' growing relationship. Readers can enjoy a small, satisfying "bite" and then come back for more later! Each has its own story arc, but together they follow the characters' growing relationship and their emotional development over time.
Overseas? Can you be the person you want to be as opposed to what is expected of you? Love the short story romance- hard to do right but loved it. Looking forward to the next in the series!
Amazing short book. There is going to a series of them. Quick and intense Anna is in Stockholm on business. She is going flying home to he states tomorrow and just wants to cut loose for once. Just be someone totally out of character...Go home and her boring life can continue. At the bar she is trying to order a burger to eat. She is jet lagged and starving. Having not eaten in over a day. Jonas the reclusive writer helps her out. He says she needs to see Paris and offers to show her The City if Lights. I Quick read. I felt relaxed. I recommend this book. The author is new to me. I look forward to reading more of her books. Can't wait to read "A Night in Paris" next.
Alice had been trying unsuccessfully to sign up writer Jonas for her USA market and meets him by chance in a pub on her last night having missed him at his book signing earlier. We a plenty of hidden secrets, lust, hot sex and maybe a second chance at love and life between the two. Jonas originally believed she was someone from his dark past to begin with then says she couldn't be so that was wishful thinking on his part, he refuses to answer lots of her questions as too many bad memories and says to look up on the internet to find them. Alice feels attracted to his bad boy personna, tattoos and come and take me on if you dare attitude. Which are a pattern of her bad boy mistakes in the past and she had stopped them all but was tempted into thinking it was one night of hot sex only and she could control it. It's the first of four shorts and I look forward to them and the dark deep secrets I feel waiting to emerge.
