Dr. Berg completed his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree in 1998 at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa and is a board-certified chiropractor in three states. In his earlier years, Dr. Berg completed 2 years of undergraduate pre-med studies at University of Wisconsin Parkside and trained as an X-Ray technician in the Army Reserves. He spent 29 years as a full-time practitioner in Alexandria, Virginia.
Dr. Berg no longer practices, but currently does full-time education sharing vital knowledge about the human body and health through social media, videos, and conventions.
Easy to follow advice without the in-depth science many diet books burden you with. I'm having my best results so far following this plan and I understand basically why it works: you eat real food with a focus on high-quality fat and protein accompanied by low-carb vegetables in two meals taken within a 6-8 hour window, you don't snack, you fast for 16-18 hours. This gets your insulin under control and ultimately gives YOU some control over your sugar and carb cravings.
Dr Berg (along with several others) has helped me improve my health so much in the last year. It's been about 1 year since starting this journey. I've lost about 50 lbs but most importantly I feel SO MUCH BETTER. When I turned 50 my health was spiraling out of control but I am slowly getting better. Talk about practical! It's a good guidebook especially if you like cooking and reading recipes. It also has lots of useful info about what is important to do and not to do about intermittent fasting and Keto. His answers to Commonly Asked Qs is quite helpful since I had some of the same questions myself. I know personally that IF and eating less carbs and sugars does really help you stay healthy.
