Another brilliant partnership between DK and Smithsonian, this time they tackled the topic of the American Revolution.
Rather than look at this period from a chronological perspective, the producers of this book chose to look at this era by what / who was important. For example, readers are shown a map, photographs of historical items from the period, and more, along with brief descriptions of each item / person, and a little bit of information about British America. For other topics, such as Taxation Without Representation, there are also illustrations / drawings of scenes and people, political propaganda, etc. each with its own description about who they were or why they / it was important to the time.
Towards the end of the book are two-pages called, "Did You Know?" which are Fascinating Facts and Questions and Answers about this period. There's even a photograph of George Washington's false teeth!
Following is a Timeline, ways to Find Out More (websites, places to visit, etc.), a Glossary, Index, and Acknowledgments.
There's an abundance of information packed into less than 75 pages!
