Really enjoyed this book on setting goals!I can tell that Kalyn functions a lot like me, so I was able to relate to a lot of what she said! I love the idea of following a 6 week time-frame for completing goals as well as setting up appropriate rewards for completing them.

I received an advance copy to review and really enjoyed it. I can’t wait to get started on setting my own six week sprint goals!

This book reads like meeting a new friend. Back story from the author and some very interesting opinions with research and personal experience to back them up.

Quote: “maybe the things you *think you should do* don’t align with what you actually want.” [emphasis is mine]

Ms Brook has analysed why people fail and hacked traditional goal setting systems to work for her. In this book she shares her wisdom with the reader and coaches us through identifying our own values and divining meaningful personal goals and breaking them into shorter chunks.

Ms Brook outlines why her 6 week sprint goal setting system works and coaches the reader through it with an easy helpful manner.

I enjoyed this book and I recommend it to anyone who has issues with motivation (and new years resolutions) and one year goal and five year goal cycles!

I've been following Kalyn Brooke for several years now, but this is the first book of hers I've read.

This book has some very good practical advice for setting goals, and as someone that loves to read books about achieving goals, it was fun to get her perspective. One thing that really stuck out to me was when she discusses regret and choosing the path that you will regret the least.

This was a bit of a smack in the face to me, as I'm currently working on a long term goal that has been years in the making, and the idea of never completing it because of my own failings was another huge motivator that I've never considered!

I recommend checking out Kalyn's book and her blog. You'll always find something insightful and new to read about.

Plan Your Goals One At A Time Is The Way To Go

I really liked this where you only choose one goal at a time. This way, you are more apt to complete goals instead of 1/2 done or not at all. I am really looking forward to starting this process this week.

There are so many good nuggets in this book! Some things I have heard before from other authors, but the way Kalyn presents them is new. Her perspective is refreshing and just what I need. I will go back and take notes on the points that will be useful going forward. I appreciate her transparency in areas where she struggles. Her solutions are simple enough to adapt, but will make an impact on how I handle challenges. I am looking forward to using the companion planner to crush some significant goals/projects this year. Thank you, Kalyn!

Fantastic Advice!

I’ve read ALOT of books on goal setting at this point. They’ve all missed the mark for whats reasonable and achievable. Being someone with diagnosed ADHD since age 8, I’ve struggled with mainstream advice. This book isn’t that. So much practical advice that I cannot wait to implement. It’s gentle to those who have struggles too which i REALLY appreciate. I blew through this in one evening and i cannot wait to put into action. Thank you so much for this wonderful book, Kalyn!!

Definitely an easy read with a good system for developing goals. It was mentioned at the end about building systems and habits, but the overall system of goal-setting is built for tasks, not habits.

I would totally recommend this to someone who has a hard time following through with goals they set (that’s me!) though I think the workbook & this book should be integrated into 1 product. That’s what I would prefer, because I honestly had no clue there was a workbook.

This book is super easy to read and really fun. I only took so long because I got distracted by other non fiction books. Chapter 6 was my favorite. It talks about how to make big dreams come true, step by step, and I felt like Kalyn was my best friend cheering me on! I learned so much and feel like I can do anything now. If you want a book that helps you dream big but stay practical, this is the one for you!
