Neglected Truth is the nail-biting second installment in the Dr. Samantha Jenkins Mysteries series. If you like resilient heroines, fast-paced plots, and intriguing twists, then you'll love Stephanie Kreml's medical whodunit.
I loved this book! Staphanie Kreml has a back for capturing and describing the type of care and interaction between doctor and patient not often seen. She weaves this into her novels of intrigue and mystery; weaving incredible stories that are real to life. Neglected Truth tells of a death potentually caused by an overlooked plumbing issue a company wants to sweep under the rug. While it was a rough road to get to the truth, perseverance and determination win the day and the truth triumphs. I highly recommend this book to everyone. Especially those who love medical mysteries. This is a well paced read and captures ones attention from the first page. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read the feast of Stephanie Kreml’s books! I was provided an advanced copy of this book for review.
This is supposed to be a medical mystery, but it really doesn't fit that category.
This is the second book in the series I have read as I really hoped this would be better than the first one. The whole premise is just so out there and unbelievable for any sort of medical doctor working in a workman's comp clinic. The main character, Dr. Samantha Jenkins, is always drawn into these investigations that she has no business involving herself in and no normal real doctor would. I find Samantha as a character to be really irritating on many levels. Her romance issues, her problems with her father, her side hustle doing some unauthorized snooping that puts her in danger, and her issues with her main job all combine to make this a series I can leave behind.
I'm always on the lookout for good plots featuring medical situations but this was not it as it focused on workplace coverups and inadequate safety precautions.
The prognostic, Dr. Sam Jenkins, was a very realistic doctor. I could imagine her in a real life clinical setting. The story is believable and something that could happen in real life. I am glad that Sam found someone to believe in her findings and took steps to try to reconcile the situation. Stephanie Kreml is a new to me author but not for long. I loved her style of writing and looking forward to reading more books from her.
I volunteered a honest review in exchange for an ARC copy of this book.
Thank you Voracious Readers and Stephanie Kreml for another great read. This is the 2nd book in the Dr. Samantha Jenkins mystery. I found that I really enjoyed the characters, as if I was starting to really get to know them. Dr. Samantha Jenkins would make a great detective if she didn’t want to be a doctor anymore. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Dr. Samantha Jenkins in the next book by Stephanie Kreml “Truth Promised”
Very well written. When using medical terminology, A brief explanation of the meaning is always included. She does not talk down to the readers, but rather includes them in, like a conversation with a good friend. The storyline is always interesting, and a few twists and turns keeps everyone guessing. Excellent writing skills, a sense of humor, and plenty of action keep the story moving at s fast pace. An all around excellent book.
Do you enjoy a murder mystery that has several different potential causes? This mystery involves safety hazards in the workplace that have gone too long without being remedied. In addition, there is medical information as Sam tries to learn more about the possible causes. Together these elements lead to an interesting story.
A young female doctor who cares for each patient she sees, so much so she delves into their deaths. This mystery kept me guessing. The dialogue was true to life. There was even some humor. I thoroughly enjoyed 'Neglected Truth' by Stephanie Kreml.
This was a decent book. I'm in the medical field and enjoy good books that involve medical situations. The OSHA parts of the book went a little slow. I'm looking forward to trying another book in the series.
I received this ebook through Voracious readers only in exchange for a review. This story totally captivated me. The characters were believable and I loved reading, but was very sorry, when suddenly it was finished.
I just love the way Doctor Sam gets her teeth into something and doesn't let go. Also the way the medical jargon is explained so you can understand it. A very enjoyable story.
I received this book in return for an honest review. This book is ok, I found it a little bit dull to be honest. I never really managed to get into it.
Numerous typos and spellchecker errors so I gave it a 4. (authors please use a real person to read through for homonym errors) Well paced medical mystery. Very engrossing.
