I learned a few tricks in my twenty-four years of living in Hell as Lucifer’s human daughter. Mostly because dad’s top guards were my tutors. They taught me every trick to get what I wanted. So when I had enough of Lucifer’s overprotectiveness, I found a way to use my skills against dad and finally go to the mortal plane.
He only had one condition. At the first sign of danger, I was to come home.
Technically, he didn’t categorize what danger was. So when I opened the door to my townhouse and found my roommate almost dead. I called my brother-in-law instead of dad.
When a newly turned vampire ripped the necklace, I promised never to remove from my neck. I turned to the sexy half-vampire, half-wolf claiming to be my mate. Together, we weeded through the years of lies to find out who was after me.
With so much at stake and an attack from two sides, I hoped my newfound powers would be enough to save my mate from the war coming to his pack. A war put into place years ago.
I enjoyed the storyline and characters. Daisy, to me, was like the nice, normal, girl next door. Disregarding her DNA and her desire for her mate, she was somewhat bland. But all the other characters had a lot of personality, so it was a great book. The storyline was interesting, a little bit of drama and action, enough to keep the book moving forward at a good pace. The setup for the next book is what stands out to me. I cannot wait to read the next one.
It's a great story, well told but there are a lot of sentences that are "stronks," they just make no sense. Order out words are of. Frankly it's annoying as hell to read a book with that many editorial mistakes.
