This small-town women’s fiction series is perfect for readers of all ages.Author's This is a continuing series that follows the lives and loves of the residents of Dolphin Bay throughout multiple books that are best read in order.
Each book in this series evolve around the characters running the Inn at Dolphin Bay. This second book continues the story of Tana Martin, as well as her Uncle Henry. Henry's story unfolds as we learn of lost opportunities in his teenage life that occurred leaving him gruff and slightly bitter. Each book in this series has drawn me in further and I look forward to the release of book three, involving Tana ' s brother, Jax. The books are compelling and free of foul language or vivid sexual encounters. I highly recommended them to readers of all ages.
A major inaccuracy. Is that uncle Henry couldn't possibly be anyone's uncle, as he was an only child. He never married. How do you become an uncle or great uncle. Annoying technicality
The Gilded Days, Dolphin Bay Book 2 - A great summer read
I loved Book 2 in this series. There is no way I’m getting to the beach this summer so this book helped me get there if only in my mind. I could feel the sun, the sand, smell the breeze, and feel the spray on my face and body. This spray, making my hair curl and frizz no matter how much hair product I use. Frustrating because some people look beautiful on the beach but I’m not one of them. I enjoy these great characters and each of their lives. Every person has a story and I love how their story is being told. Heartaches, love, trust, trampled trust, smiles, laughter, and hope. Hope not only for each one but for the future of all of them. So much promise and love.
Sooooo much better than the last book. The author didn't leave much still open, and found a nice way to transition to the next book. She finished up all of the existing storylines and those made for a lovely beach read. Friendly characters we'd like to get to know and a great place we can't wait to visit.... With other fun stories to come!
Read this book in just over 24 hours easy as it’s just over2 hours long but I couldn’t put it down so already onto the next book in the series all I would say without giving anything too much away is it’s all about past lives and new lives moving on and Henry the Great Uncle needing forgiveness to move forward in in his life best series I’ve read in a long time
I appreciate Mia's ability to tell a good story of love , regrets, good times and bad without the need to turn to sordid details to get her point across. Can't wait for the next book!
This is a wonderful continuation of the first book, which I enjoyed tremendously. I have to get the third one now so I can continue with the new acquaintances I’ve made!
The second book in the series was good and dud not disappoint. I enjoyed Henry and Penny finding closure, Tana and Reed expanding their relationship, and Daphne's revelation about Jax. I can't wait for book 3
I am thoroughly enjoying this Dolphin Bay series. This book focuses on Tana getting inn restoration started, returning to LA briefly to conclude business there, and searching for Uncle Henry’s long lost love, Penny.
This was a great story. I have never read anything by Mia Kent before. This was book two. I'm ready to start book three in this series hope they are as good.
