A Curvy Younger Woman and Alpha Firefighter Insta-love Romance
Marnie I was happy for what Maria and Roman found. I even caught myself being envious of their relationship. But I tried not to let myself think that way. Besides, I had my eye on another firefighter. Harris. He pulled me to safety when Maria’s house was on fire. Ever since then, I couldn’t stop thinking about him.
I hadn’t seen him in a while, except the shirtless picture displayed in the calendar on my fridge. Yum. One day he stumbled into my work, and we had a great conversation, until he was called to duty. I was hopeful things would work out between us. I just didn’t expect my creepy manager to get in the way.
Harris Marnie was a cool girl, and just my type. I was upset I was called to duty before I could get her number. My chances felt ruined, but after talking to Roman I decided to give it another shot. I worked up the courage and went back to her work.
That’s when I saw her manager being pushy and making her extremely uncomfortable. Something ignited inside of me, and I took action. I knew I needed to be her hero, and to support her. Forever. Short story telling a sweet & steamy insta-love romance with a curvy younger woman and an older alpha firefighter hero. Happily ever after! No cliffhangers! No cheating!
Welcome to Rosewood Grove, home to the HOTTEST firefighters around. These men will extinguish any danger they encounter but will light a flame in your heart. Don’t miss out on this series, as each story will reveal the true hero in each man working at the Rosewood Grove Fire Department and show you just how much they care about the curvy young ladies they protect!
Harris and Marnie have been thinking about each other ever since he carried her out of Maria’s burning house fire. So Harris finally makes the decision to look her up again at work and maybe they can start seeing each other? But he finds her manager Devin being pushy, standing too close, and making her extremely uncomfortable talking about her tight body that has everything under control. Why does he talk that way to her?
So Harris came in right before closing. Devin tried to tell him they were closed, but Harris pointed out they were not. And he also told the man that Marnie was his girlfriend and he wanted Devin to back off and leave her alone. It didn’t take long after that to make that statement true as they began to fall in love. First things first; I like the cover of this book! Harris is the second book in the ‘’rosewood grove fire department’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Marnie met Harris when he saved her from a fire. Months later and he is still on her mind. Harris wants Marnie but will he be brave enough to ask her out? The chemistry between Harris and Marnie is clear to see and I liked them together. I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.
Marnie sees to find herself in a few tight spots, first it was at her friends house when it was on fire and the next was when she was uncomfortable with her boss and job. Harris has thought of Marnie, since he carried out of the fire and then ran into at the coffee shop. Finally getting up enough courage, Harris went to her work only to save her again.
Marnie and Harris have a sweet connection with electric passion. Their story is a fast love tale with the perfect amount of heat, tension, mystery and love that will have melting in your sit.

This is book two in Small Town, Man in Uniform series. I just love firemen's stories. And this one is no different. These two are meant for one another. They met in the previous book. Now that they can't stop thinking about one another he goes to ask her out. Upon getting to her job he sees and hears stuff he does not approve of towards her. Now he has to step up and save her again. How will she react to him saving her again?

Again this story has potential. However there is far too much "tell" and not much "show". I never felt her discomfort with her manager or the passion and excitement with Harris. No heat, no emotion. It really felt flat with no real substance to the characters regarding their feelings and perspectives. Also, where are the physical descriptions of these characters? I'm wondering what they look like. Does anybody in this town have a last name? I'm sad to say it was a somewhat tedious read. 2.5 stars.
Who doesn't love a good firefighter story. Marnie met Harris the night she caught Maria's house on fire. It took them a while to get together and it was explosive when they finally did. Marnie was being sexually harassed by her boss and Harris stepped in to help her. He ends up setting up a new job for her. Read the book to see everything that happens. It's good :)
loved it !!! love this series !!! love Marnie and Harris. this is their story... they meet at Maria's house fire and couldn't forget each other.. a fast paced rescue story...

A lighter read. It is short, has some good steam, and basically features a couple that know what they want. Perfect palette cleanser from angst and darker reads.

This is the second book from the firefighters series. Harris has been attracted to Marnie ever since he saved her life during an accidental fire. It was a sweet read and I cannot wait to read the next installment in the series.
He saved her from a fire, then from an awkward situation at work. They start out with a date and the rest is really a happy story. I enjoyed meeting the people and reading the story.
