Romanen utspelar sig i Stockholm och Sörmland. Kommissarie Hall och hans kollegor engageras i en intensiv jakt på bestialiska mördare. Ett brutalt mord på Skeppsholmen visar sig ha många förgreningar.
This book is a classic example of why you need an editor. There's lots of errors. Tons of sentences end in the middle with an ellipsis, like "Maybe he would... And if he..."
The writer can't make up her mind about whose perspective it's supposed to be from. The protagonists are unintentionally unsympathetic, like in the very first pages, where one of them gets a slightly mean comment from a colleague and almost punches him in response. (A police with that kind of temper is unsuitable for his job.) Events are shown in brief summaries instead of shown. There's needless dialogue that slows down events unsuitably.
This is the kind of book that shows enthusiasm from the writer but not much skill. Sorry, but it's true.
