The third book in a brand new series from Chris Smith. Steve Savage continues his quest for vengeance, with his lethal friend, Chen Lee, by his side. Their latest adventure sees them journey to Texas in search of the elusive Cap Dugan and his gang of outlaws. Fleeing from Bristol, in England, Blaire Colebright is also bound for Texas. Who is this dangerous beauty, who is stalking her, and what part will she have to play in Steve and Chen's adventure? Murder, a mysterious British inventor, gunfights galore, and Steve Savage's patented brand of justice are all barely contained between the covers of this latest exciting Western from the Blood On The Range series.
Another great book in the series. I really enjoyed the mystery element the author brought into the book. It's your classic western, but with a lot of extras. The plot is great, the characters are relatable and the villains are villainous.
This is a western in the tradition of Louis L'Amour. I can't give higher praise than that.
This is fast becoming my favorite series! The books aren't too long, so I'm breezing through them like a TV series.
Steve Savage is at it again in this latest adventure. He and Chen Lee are roped into the hunt for a mysterious killer and they meet an interesting new companion.
I really loved the start to this book as it combined the elements of a murder mystery with a traditional western. Definitely worth a read. Chris Smith has brought something new to the Western genre.
This book had me hooked from chapter 1. A stormy sea, murder, and mystery. It read like a scene from Criminal Minds or Law & Order.
This exciting third book in the series sees the addition of a new member to the team. Chris Smith has created an exciting lineup of characters, each having their own personalities and viewpoints. I enjoyed the first two books, but this one definitely reads better.
From his profile picture on Amazon, Smith looks quite young and I can see that he's been working hard on improving his skills as an author. The plot flows more easily, the dialogue is better, and the characters have way more depth. Keep up the good work!
Steve and his partners chase TBE feels murderers to Texas, where meets her brother. Her brother is one of the gang that killed Steve's wife and son. A gun battle in a canyon kills most of the gang. In a twist, the lead escapes, and the book ends. Argh!
Wow, the team is coming together nicely. Lots of different elements, lots of vivid exciting characters, this book was lots of fun to read. Going to start the next one.
Currently reading this sterling book. Love this series and even moreso now that I see the author has included my name in this book. I don't know if it is coincidence or by design but my second name is Patrick and the Nolan brothers in this book Anthony and Patrick are just too uncanny. Thanks for adding me CB. Ha Ha. I am shocked and delighted to see this.
Great read so far and intriguing as to what will become of Ms Dugan. I look forward to the rest of it.
Keep writing sir. I have your newest book lined up after this one as well. Brilliant stuff as always.
A cattleman, an Chinaman and an Englishman walk into a bar. Really. They are looking for Cap Dugan and his murdering gang. Dugan murdered Steve Savage's family and Dugan's sister murdered the Englishman's brother. He is also an inventor and that will help them reach their goal. The Chinaman is with Savage. You probably met him already. Nonstop action and a very surprise ending.
This was a very good western novel. It was about Steve Savage and his Chinese partner, bounty hunters, and an English inventer all of which were after a ruthless gang of outlaws as well as a murderess. It was a little hard to believe at times but all in all a good story and one that I would definitely recommend!
