this is my summry for the bible book, the bible book is a good book I like it because it showed so many storys and some are good but some are bad and God has cool stories.

Also, the book was about teaching you the bible stories if you cant go to chrch. PS thats not why I read this.

I did not like this for one part I did not like this story where a kid just goes of and spends his parents money on dumb things.

I rate this 4 stars but it was just that one part that took to long and it was so boring and that is my review for the bible book

Over simplified and missing too many details, even for the very young.

I have taught Sunday School to toddlers, (2-3 yo), and pre-K for over 40 years. One thing I’ve learned is that children are capable of far more than most people think. They can understand and memorize scripture when given to them in short time periods and when using a vocabulary they can comprehend. Leaving out details, changing the story or adding a spin to it is not the answer, not to mention it’s not Biblical. This book does all of that, unfortunately. Here’s one example:

Author, B. R. Jensen tells the story “A Beautiful Garden With A Sly Snake” (Gen 3). The story up until the end is ok but the ending is nothing like the Biblical account. Jensen says: “They walked out of the garden to begin their new journey. God told them he would watch over them. He loved them as much as ever!”

There’s more to the paragraph about God having a plan for sin and mistakes not hindering God’s love. All true, but not part of Genesis 3, which ends with Adam & Eve being banished from the garden and an Angel with a flaming sword being posted to guard the entrance to the Tree of Life; quite a different picture!

Many more instances like this are all thru the book and I want my kids to learn the whole counsel of God. Yes, He is love; but He’s also holy, just, righteous, wonderful, counselor, mighty, jealous, etc. Jensen wanted this book to: “give[s] children confidence in knowing they’re secure in His hands and held by His incredible forever love for them.” Forcing her goal into stories for children didn’t work for me.

All things considered, cute pictures but misses the mark in content📚

A quick, bite size group of biblical snip it’s that are perfect for a younger reader to listen to or read. I will definitely be using the stories and questions provided in my ministry!

Quick and easy read for my kiddos during their handwriting time. Some of the questions were a bit over their heads but they’re 4 and 5.
