Quick read about two college age kids that can’t quite define their relationship. They have been best friends for a few years. They love each other as friends but haven’t realized that they are the “one” for each other. After a night of blowing off steam and heavy drinking they hear on the news that a 10 year old boy from Nate’s small hometown has disappeared with his bicycle. And the news relates that 10 years ago another boy named Tim disappeared the same way and was never found to this day. Nate and Olivia end up back in his hometown at his moms house right in the middle of the investigation. Olivia finds that Nate was the last to see Tim 10 years ago before he disappeared and he never got over it. His uncle is the Police Chief is over the present case and never solved Tim’s case which has hung over his head for 10 years. What is happening to little boys in this town? Is there a predator out there? Who was the last to see the child. Olivia and Nate start asking questions. Someone knows something. They need to find these kids before more go missing. Very good story with a surprising middle and end. I enjoyed the main characters Olivia and Nathaniel and I look forward to reading more about them in future books.

Even though the two never hook up, Scott brings their sexual tension to the forefront for the duration of the story without it growing old. Great character development and a nice tight mystery plot that leaves you crying for more. The story delivers everything the premise promises. I definitely look forward to more by this author.

Even with this being a Prequel Novella and learned a lot of information about the characters and they feel like someone I would know. I'm starting the next book and it helps by knowing the characters! Can't wait to get into the second book.

A fantastic prequel novella! I adore this series and these characters, and it was great to meet them a little earlier. This was a gripping mystery and helped provide some character development. I really can't wait for the next installment!

another winner from Jullian Scott. The story was great and the characters were also very good. I wish I had read this book first instead of Ring around the Rosie. But oh well, I enjoyed it all the same. Now I can go on and read number 2. Can't wait.
