Ok so if we don’t think about the boss/employee romance with the questionable power dynamics- this was hilariously entertaining.
I’m subscribed to the comic and am currently at episode 80 smth. Or was it 60? BAH in my defense the information is currently fighting for dominance between the knowledge of how in a concave mirror, if the object is placed beyond the center of curvature, the image will be formed between CoC and the focus and the knowledge that protein synthesis occurs in the ribosomes. I really need to pass that exam lord please bless me
dnf- stopped liking this after chapter 5 (forcing someone to change in front of you when they’re clearly not comfortable is wrong on many levels) but read two more chapters because the art is so pretty, but I can’t keep doing this to myself…
Im torn about this one, because on one hand the art was gorgeous, the main relationships SO good and healthy and supportive and sweet, the story was just nice, and the kitties adorable.
On the other hand, for most of the story, theres this really weird treatment of straight, or yknow, bisexual, women. And it kinda gets called out near the end, BUT its by one of the leads who was perpetuating it the most without (as far as I remember) having any epiphany about being so weird about it the whole time?? And its just. Why, guys. Just because you fall in love with a straight woman doesnt mean she trapped you with, what. Having affection? Being kind to you? And its so much stranger since two of the main cast ARE bisexual.
Ongoing manhua that I’m currently caught up with that I wasn’t planning on really reading but I’ve got the webcomic bug and I actually really enjoyed this??? There are some aspects to it that aren’t my favorite (like the boss/employee relationship, that DEFINITELY isn’t my fav) and other few small things here and there where I’m like… eh, not for me. But for the most part VERY enjoyable and funny and indulgent and fun… and gay <33
I had my doubts about it going in with the title and the boss/employee relationship but it’s a hoot I swear.
Brilliant main and secondary couple. They manage to keep the story fresh and ongoing by using the secondary couple, but keeping nice moments of good relations between the first couple. There is some angst and conflict but that is never between the actual pairings in an unhealthy way which I am a fan of.
I finally was able to read this through to the end. Overall, it's cute and healthy. The boss/employee dynamic is addressed at the end, and the straight girl trap is realistically both depicted and nuanced throughout.
