I was really excited to start this book, especially since MM is one of my favorite indie writers, but unfortunately this book just doesn't compare to the first two. I felt like we were so focused on all of the relationships of the Tree House Boys with their significant others and of her friends, than the actual romance that was blossoming between Sydney and Vaughn.

Vaughn is Sydney's brothers best friend, and although she's had an intense crush/attraction to him ever since they first met, but she never thought anything would actually happen. Until Vaughn suddenly is essentially a surrogate big brother for his coach's daughter and he realizes that Sydney is the one person who can get through to Bev (which lets be honest here, I had some major flashbacks to my teenage days where black was my main source of clothes and eyeliner, and I'm all here for it) the more these two are around each other, the more they can no longer deny the deep feelings they both have. But will all of this blow up in their faces when Sydney's brother finds out?

There was some definite cute moments in this light college romance, but there was more telling versus showing here. I wanted so desperately to feel the connection these two shared, but I just didn't. Maybe if there was time spent focusing on them as a couple I would have, but I just couldn't connect with them line I have the previous couples in the series. And it seemed the conflict concluded just as quickly as it arose. Maybe it was my mood (this entire year is one giant dumpster fire) but this just wasn't my favorite.

If you're looking for a light, college brothers best friend sports romance though, I still recommend this series! This author deserves more recognition!

**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions!**

Once again, I'm at 25% of the books and they only met once. Pages of Pages of nothing, just boring conversations between insignificant characters.
Not for me.

Another kickass female athlete & swoony brother’s best friend story

I love this Treehouse Boys series and I really wish I could live in a treehouse! Ok cool houses aside, I was so excited to get another book from McKinley! Cameron and Sydney are definitely supposed to only be friends but their easy rapport and crazy chemistry brings them together no matter what Sydney’s brother dictates about no one is to date his little sister. Sydney meant to only focus on soccer this year but she needed help with her game and Cameron was the perfect person to help! She got more than what she was looking for though when she realizes Cameron is an amazing guy on top of everything else.

This friends to lovers story is easy to read, a fun addition to this great sports romance series. Need more Treehouse Boys! There are so many great characters in here, there’s got to be more books!

I thought that this story was so sweet. Sydney goes to college and is an awesome soccer player like her older brother Vaughn. As she hangs out with him and his friends, she becomes closer to the team goalie Cameron. As they spend more time together, they find that they click and there is a connection. However, her brother has warned his team that they cannot date his little sis so there is a bit of conflict there. Overall, I thought this was very entertaining and loved that fact that Sydney and Cameron became such great friends first!

This story is part of a series but truly a standalone as this is the first one that I have read. I enjoyed this book so will go and look for books 1 & 2.

I received a free advanced review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my fair and honest opinion.

A big thank you to the author for providing this ARC via Booksprout! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

You know the joy you feel when a series you love but haven't got any updates about in forever suddenly appears from out of nowhere? Yeah, that feeling can't be compared.

I read the first two books in The Treehouse Boys a while ago and instantly fell in love with the characters and the writing style. They are easy and funny books, and it takes no time before you find yourself caught up in them. Collins the shots (and yes, the titles are puns of the boys' last names) is a brother's best friend romance and is all about Cameron and Sydney's hot chemistry and them falling for each other.

Both main characters are strong and so dedicated, even though they have not had the easiest childhoods and had to work hard to get where they are today. The one thing I adore most about this series is the fact that all characters have their own unique personalities and definitely adds their own flair to the story.
I cannot express how much I love a found family and this one is one of the most hilarious and welcoming ones. It's really sad that the main quartet (Vaughn, Weston, Liam, Cam) is now graduating, I just really love all the guys and don't want to part from them. The epilogue made me teary-eyed, because we don't even know if the series will continue (but I have strong beliefs it will) and if they will show up in the upcoming books at all. I do really hope that the series will continue, because there are some really strong personalities left in the Treehouse that deserves their own story (especially the newcomer)!

The only downside I found with the book was that the ending felt kinda rushed and anticlimactic, like it was cut short or something. I just wish it had been a bit...more, I guess.

Anyway, if you want to start a new college soccer romance series with hilarious and sweet characters and a writing that makes the time fly past, this is it!

Cute, sweet romance - read on KU

I have really enjoyed this series. It's been a bit since I read the last one but this one seemed a little less intense. It is definitely a very slow burn. It's fun and a bit funny. Some things were a bit predictable.

There were two or three steamy scenes and maybe a couple more making out. They weren't all that hot. Sydney has only had a one week boyfriend in middle school and no others after that. It doesn't seem like she has just been hooking up at any time and certainly hasn't in college. I would have expected her to be a virgin but it wasn't written that way. She was more intimidated by something else than sex. Seemed odd but not good or bad.

Cameron was a foster kid because his mom was a drug addict. The soccer coach has just taken custody of his 12 year old niece for the same reason. The coach asks him to mentor her and he does a good job but it is Sydney that makes all the difference.

Sydney's roommate is quite an odd duck and there are some funny things about that.

Pretty sure the next book is set up to be about the newest member of the team who got to live in the tree house without earning it with their team and he is a real jerk. He works out in expensive brand name clothing, like Tom Ford. Sydney's friend, Mariana on the soccer team seems to be attracted to him. Not sure how that will play out.

I am looking forward to more by this author.

While this book could be read as a standalone, I definitely recommend reading the first 2 books of the series before reading this book because it will enhance the experience a great deal. The previous books give you plenty of intel on the characters that you will see throughout the story and more background info on the characters in this book.

This is book number 3 of The Treehouse Boys series and focuses on Cameron and Sydney. Sydney is the younger sister of Cam's best friend Vaughn (book 1). They both play soccer at the college and Sydney's brother has warned everyone on his team that they can't date his sister. Cameron's and Sydney forge a great friendship that turns into more. This was a great story and a great addition to the series! I was so glad to finally see Cameron get his HEA. I had been impatiently waiting on this book to come out and it definitely did not disappoint! I definitely recommend this book for sure!

The romance was super sweet, but the ending was a little weird? Everyone turns into Nancy Drew and suddenly the mystery is resolved that could've been done earlier if they'd put their minds to it just a few weeks before. I also wish we'd gotten a glimpse into the future so we know how they handled being apart, with Sydney still in school & Cameron graduated.

That being said, I really did love this book. Low angst, no unnecessary drama between the couple & I loved that they're both athletes! We really get to see these characters falling for each other and the friendship and attraction between them- which is rare imo. It's easy to write about a couple having a "cosmic connection" with love blossoming out of nowhere but the author really put in the work to show us how and why Sydney & Cameron are falling in love. It was sweet & steamy & just the perfected lighthearted read.

It also looks like the author set up a future couple- Mariana and Zion, and while I'm not a huge fan of the "good girl" and "bad boy" trope, I've loved all the other books by McKinley May so I can't wait for more by her!

Loved Cameron and Sydney's story

This was a really good college sports romance. Sydney did act juvenile in her speech sometimes, in the beginning. Drawing out words. That's really my only negative. The two were fun together. I loved the build up of their relationship, the chemistry. Low angst. I liked the side stories and characters.

Can be standalone. This was first I read in series and didn't feel lost. Will go back and read previous, because I enjoyed the characters. Told from H and h POV. No cheating. No cliffhanger.

I enjoyed this book even though I had to skip some passages as it was a bit boring. I really enjoy the treehouse boys stories but this one was my least favourite.
I enjoyed Sidney and Cameron story but it got a bit tiring the build up to their love story. I will recommend it though as it is only my point of view after all. I can’t wait for the other stories (perhaps Parker more than Diego. And hopefully a little novella or full book for Liam and Ellie story as well😉)

Cute story

I don't normally write a review. I've read a lot of these types of books. This one is by far my favorite. It's pretty funny. I laughed out loud more then a few times.
I didn't read the first two books, but the author gives you a good enough background on the other characters, that you don't really need too.
The only thing I'm sad about is not seeing where this couple ends up down the road. I feel like there's more to thier story and the other couples as well.

i kinda expected more from this book. i wanted more from the forbidden and bsf sisters troupe. i do see how this author has lots of filler pages and don’t really add to the story they’re kinda just there and i honestly couldn’t care for them. but even after that i did enjoy this book i liked collins and sydney they weren’t all too bad. but out of the three books steel and ryan’s are definitely my favorite.

Slow burn totally worth it!!

Cameron and Sydney’s journey is perfect for them they fit so well and they try to deny it until it’s to hard for them to be apart. They sneak around for months to avoid the conflict from Sydney’s brother and teammates. By the end I wasn’t ready to say goodbye. Can’t wait to see who may be next in the Treehouse series. Love these boys and gals.

Why did it end?!?!

This book. Probably my favorite of all of the Treehouse Boys. Cam and Syd’s story left me wanting to know more. What obstacles will they face since she is only a freshman. I was really hoping that he found the stash of trinkets Mr. Slinkey hid and would propose with that ring 😜 McKinley….please write more!!!

Sad there isn't more to read!

I've really enjoyed this storyline! I'm hoping to read more about the tree house boys in the future. I'd love to read more about Zion and what his deal is or El and Liams story.

Great series!!!

I love soccer and I was so excited to find a series of books about soccer players and how they found love. I absolutely loved all of the characters and the story lines. I can't wait for her to write about the rest of the team.

Vaughn & Sydney had an okay book. Though we didn't hear a lot about the supposed main characters. Which was a bit disappointing. I got a copy of the book. And am voluntarily leaving my review.

4 stars!! I love this series. It never disappoints. I want so baldy more of them.

I’ve been waiting for the series to grow for a whole damn yaer. I love football (it’s football not “soccer”🤮) sooo much and love to see books about it. I loved this book, it was super cool

The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because it had a kinda abrupt ending which surprised me. But I still loved it!!

*Spoilers* This book was okay. It wasn’t amazing but it wasn’t awful. I was SO excited for this book because I love a brothers best friend and it didn’t fulfill all my expectations, but I feel like part of that is on me, not the book. There wasn’t a lot of drama when Vaughn found out about Cameron and Sydney which disappointed me because I live for the drama lol. Their love story was cute, it was friends to lovers which is everything. I guess it just wasn’t everything I wanted and more but it was still a great book!! I loved Cameron and Sydney as characters and overall it was a great book.
