An Alpha's Claim
Dax Rayne swore off Hunters long ago for how they treated his kind. That is until a Hunter named Devana Okar entered his life with visions of rogue wolves and with the scent that she is his MATE.
Dax wasn’t expecting the True Alpha of all Wolves to come to him with a mission involving working with a Hunter. A mission to stop a rogue wolf from killing other Alpha’s and taking control of their packs. Being an Alpha himself, he knew it was a matter of time before this rogue Alpha would be at his doorstep. What made finding this rogue more dangerous were the visions of this wolf working with something evil. The only time a Hunter gets involved in matters that belonged to the pack is if the problem had anything to do with demons. Dax had to protect his pack from what was coming and come to terms with Devana, a Hunter, who is his MATE.
Devana has had visions of evil all of her life that affect anyone that she is close to. Her visions always had something to do with a Hunter and a demon, which helped her fellow Hunters fight against evil. Until one night, Devana dreamt of a smokey gray wolf whose eyes glowed the deepest crimson as he slaughtered an Alpha along with his entire pack. Devana saw pack after pack that would be targeted if she didn’t stop her vision from happening. She knew once her eyes opened that she would have to call a meeting with the top Alpha of all, Quinn Savir. Devana wasn’t expecting that her call would be answered. When the call was answered, she didn’t expect to work with Daxton Rayne, the white wolf with the violet eyes whose pack would be victims of this possessed rogue wolf. Devana, along with every other Hunter, knew exactly how much Dax and other shifters hated their kind.
When Devana and Dax came face to face, everything changed with just one word. MATE.
Will Dax manage to put aside his hatred for Hunters to be able to claim his mate?
Can Devana finally let herself get close to someone who may be able to handle the gifts she comes with?

Again with another series that I’m not going to be able to step away from. I have actually purchased your books and your writing detail is amazing. One thing I do hope in the books to follow the rayne pack is more clarity. Pages 116-122 were repeated, which I didn’t understand the need for it. Earlier on in the book that happened as well, and it was repeated literally word for word. I’ve read your books from start to finish, and I can honestly say this was a first so maybe I’m not understanding or it may have been a mistake. I love the series, and how it all comes together, but still are separate events between different characters.

It takes a real alpha to claim her

Dax is THE alpha of his multi shifter pack. He runs it with an iron fist because his rule is law, and his authority is not to be questioned. He is a fair alpha as well as protective of his pack. He cares for his people and is willing to sacrifice himself for them. He is wise in experience and the lessons and knowledge that comes with age. He’s raised his siblings who are all alphas as well. You have to wonder how does a wolf with so much responsibility not have a mate?
Well Devana Okar, hunter from one of the 5 family lines of hunters has an answer to that question. It may not be the answer she believes at the time but it definitely is one that she feels and fights. She’s a hunter who is quite skilled and very gifted. You can say she is very rare for a hunter. She has a future that she has decided to try to change. The shame and guilt of the hunters choosing to not interfere with a horrific war will not deter her for making amends. She will not be tamed or claimed.
Throw in some power hungry wannabe alpha with a false sense of being the true alpha and an inferiority purity complex whose linked up with a demon who’s giving him power but has his own end goal in mind. Never make deals with demons cause they’re tricksy! All of this plus other key and dynamic characters, juicy and hot sex scenes, and some serious battles that will have you on the edge of your seat!
Ebony Bowser uses her super powers to create some outstanding and well developed characters. The description of their physical, emotional and supernatural makeup is amazing. Her abilities to craft a story are awesome and she always hives just enough to be or stay (in my case) hooked! She leaves you wanting more, asking more questions and waiting with anticipation for the next book in the series!

As a Reader I absolutely love the versatility of this saga!!! This installment introduced new characters good and bad that made you keep turning the pages!!! Yet Another one
OMG, I loved Dax in the Deadly Secrets Saga (notice I said saga? Meaning ongoing? Hint Hint! Still waiting for the next installment) I knew I would love this book, at this point every book I have read from Ms. Bowser has left me wanting more. Dax and Devana were a great match, they definitely complimented each other. The last chapter had me absolutely green with envy, I read this book on a long road trip and I was so excited that I was getting side eye especially when they combined 😳. I am patiently waiting for the next book take your time. I recommend this book.

Loved it
This story contains very descriptive visuals that make you feel like you're watching a movie. Devana's character was easy to.connect to and made you invested I. Her journey. I can't wait to learn more about the other shifters. I'm a newbie to paranormal but it made me want to read more. It would have been helpful to have the glossary in the beginning instead of the end to get a better understanding of positions but it didn't take away from the story.

Absolutely loved it!
So, this was the first book that I’ve read by E. Bowser and I cannot wait to read more books by this author. Dax claimed Davena the moment that they met each other and it was on from there. I’m looking forward to reading more about the The Rayne Pack. I’d recommend this book to anyone who likes reading paranormal books. It will be well worth it!

DAXXX!!
This was another well written book by E. Bowser. The story pulls you in and we learn a little more about Dax and his brothers who are all Alphas. Devana was a hunter who just so happen to be Dax mate. I loved the two and seems like we will be learning more about Max, Thomas, and the others.

Amazing!!
This story does not slow down the entire book. It grabs you from the very first page. There is so much action going on. From the main characters falling in love to fighting an entity. Enjoyed it from start to finish.

Good and Okay
While this was such an action packed story,with a lot of folklore and some facts mixed in,I still got the feeling of being dropped in the middle of the movie. The writer thrusts us right in to the action which is fine but at some point please give a clear backstory. You are not getting a connection with Dax or Davina . This is the alpha and Luna of the pack and you get the impression that they are together because it just Jas to be that way. Also the sister who is a hunter is great ,you have an extra hand for when the fighting starts but way does she have to come off as if she a young girl with no ho.e training?( young and loud) Overall the story was good ,but at times it seemed like chaos was ruling the day. If I was recommending this to a friend I would but it wouldn't be first choice.

All the elements were there for this to be a good story - shifters, hunters, demons, witches, but it fell short. Even though it is titled as book 1 in a series, it’s obvious many of the characters were introduced elsewhere. If they weren’t, then the author did a horrible job of character development. The battle scenes were poorly executed leaving lots of confusing images to try to piece together. And the final scene between the male and female leads didn’t make sense; why was she resisting? Lastly, during the last quarter of the book, the grammar became atrocious. The author could use a few beta readers and a strong copy editor.
