This delicious series has turned out to be such a gem. Our Juliette started this journey being a meek little mouse being groomed from birth being a master in every subject, every obstacle that comes in her path. Now on the path for marriage her husband to be has a sexual appetite that his new bride must have. So he hires a company that will train Juliette 10 lesson. Now on lesson 7 Trust who will be the victor because husband to be decides to take over Juliette training because the Master that he hires has demonstrated characters that the client/husband to be don't like. However Juliette father a powerful man in hisself decide that the husband to be is not as professional and questions the methods and hires Master/Malcolm back in secret. This is where it becomes exciting, because Juliette has always had feelings for her Master and wants to please him with each lesson but in her over thinking she seems to always botch up the lessons. Master always comes to Juliette rescue when normally she would be band and thrown out of the program. Why you ask does Master cover Juliette's ability to master each lesson is what you always question in each book. Then its start to unravel when Master/Malcolm start to unveil how he really starting to feel about Juliette. So what will Juliette do, follow her heart or what's been designed for her, her whole life. The Master who has taught and protected her or the man she never met her Husband to be? Break is the next book can't wait!!!
“Master Class - Lesson Seven: Trust” is the seventh book in Raven Jayne’s series of novellas about a 21-year-old young lady named Juliette, who has been sold off into an arranged marriage (it is made clear from the beginning of this series she has always known her marriage would be arranged and it commonplace in the social circles her family comes from) with a man who has been determined to be her perfect match in every manner but the bedroom: he has determined she go to a special “erotic finishing school”, as he doesn’t want a wife who is sexually inexperienced and made perfectly ready for him when she finally comes to his bed. Each novella is about an aspect of Juliette’s journey in discovering the depth and breadth of her sexual appetites as well as exploring the relationship between her and the man who is in charge of her “erotic education” a man we only know as “Master” for most of the previous six books.
By the time we’ve hit this book in the series, Juliette has just come back from spending an entire book on a private island meant for sexual pleasure while wearing an earpiece so she could hear her future husband’s voice in her ear at almost all times telling her what to do and where to go and who to have sex with. In this book Juliette doesn’t wear the earpiece constantly, but it’s still around… along with a new set of instructions and toys from her future husband that neither she nor Master are thrilled about.
But let’s rewind back to the beginning of the book, shall we? Juliette meets up with Master in a very secluded area in a park on the wrong side of town to talk, because she has things she needs to say after her trip, and she needs to know how he feels about making a certain… arrangement with her. They come to terms that Juliette believes she can handle and that let her keep Master close, and they go back to her education.
But her dad and Master have been keeping secrets from Juliette, and it stirs both discomfort and butterflies inside of her. And that’s not the only sign of discord on the horizon: Jane and Bruce are moving quickly with their relationship, and with every slip-up in Juliette’s training, Jane gets more and more impatient and resentful of having to wait for Juliette so she can move on with her life.
And not only that, but her husband-to-be has grown impatient too, and he may be unable to wait any longer.
These books have been a great little treat for me to read. Each one is a great size to just read in about an hour or so. While “Trust” may not be the best of the bunch, it’s not due to bad writing. It’s simply due to me disliking Jane’s behavior, me really being skeeved out by Juliette’s fiance, and me not liking love triangles of any sort. I highly recommend this whole series of books, and I’ll be looking forward to the next one for a little pick-me-up!
Master Class is a series of short serial novels. I need to start off by saying that I’m not overly patient and this series novella format is really not my thing where each installment is about 100 pages and it takes about a year to release the full series I believe the author is planning on 10 short books and so far, the first 7 are released. To understand the story you need to read them in order: #1 – OBEY #2 – TEMPT #3 – TAKE #4 – SUBMIT #5 – OFFER #6 – PLAY #7 – TRUST
As a quick refresher: In book 1, we meet Juliette who has excelled in everything she has studied and is ready to embark on her arranged marriage, but she learns that her future husband who she has never met wants her to take one more series of classes before their wedding. In this book she meets the master who is to ensure she is trained to her future husbands’ specifications. In book 2, Juliette’s journey continues when she is painted by a famous artist. She continues to be challenged by the lesson she is to learn and when it is apparent she is failing, her Master has a lesson for her. In book 3, she is confronted with her v card and that it is not a prize her husband wants, but will she be able to learn the lesson he wants her to learn? Will she be able to keep her feelings for her Master out of the way? In book 4, she had a challenge she didn’t complete so she arranged a ‘make up’ task without consulting Master. Oops, that was the wrong thing to do! In book 5, we have an appearance by her husband to be! We also, meet Master’s brother which gives us some details about Master. In book 6, we have Juliette taking a vacation to a tropical island where her husband controls events rather than Master.
In book 7 there is more of a love triangle vibe. Juliette is developing feelings for Master, but is torn by her obligation to her future husband. She starts a no-strings relationship with Master. Just how will things work out in the last 3 books?
Overall, I’m not a huge fan of these serials as I really want to read them faster than the author typically publishes them, but I am enjoying the lessons so far and I can’t wait to see what else she has to learn to be the perfect wife. Who really is Master? Who is her husband to be? So many questions!!! At least it looks like the rest of the books will be out by Jan 2022!
Trust by Raven Jayne is the Seventh Novella in her Master Class Series. This is a highly erotic, kinky, and intriguing view into a modern take on arranged marriage. Novellas are meant to be read in order. Ten lessons to be taught and learned. Each lesson is at the request of her future husband. Juliette’s family, heritage, and privileges all dictate to her holding up her end of the bargain that has been made.
Juliette is learning all the lessons. She decides to take some control back by approaching Malcolm (Master) with a proposition. One that would be their secret.
However, The Client, is once again trying to take control of her lessons by being the one to guide her. He made the decision to take over.
Juliette is torn between what she wants from Master and what the rest of her life will be like with the her husband.
As Juliette and Malcolm give into their mutual desires, everything becomes more complicated. The Client’s demands, the lines they are crossing, the feelings that are growing.
Now The Client, aka Charles, wants to meet in person. And, as much as Juliette wants to know his identity, she wants Malcolm to admit his truths.
After finishing each of this delicious little bites in the form of novellas, I'm left wanting more and certainly wanting answers to the mystery surrounding Juliette's mysterious future husband and of course her master.
In this one though, I felt more feelings coming off, of master even though he doesn't say in words but his actions of wanting to claim Juliette certainly hint at him hiding his real feelings.
Who is this mystery husband and now will juliette finally get to meet him. But why about the growing feelings between her and master?! I'm so feeling conflicted about what to feel and can understand the conflict poor ju Pierre must be feeling.
I'm terms of the signature naughtiness of this series, of course it was once again dirty and involves juliette doing naughty stuff. But I have grown to.expect outrageous and spiciness from these books. This one though I felt was both dirty and yet a intimacy between master and juliette not felt before.
Can't wait to find out what happens next in Juliette's unusual life and her unusual training. Loved this one.💖💖💖💖
I've been loving these lessons so far.... until this one....Lesson Seven: Trust!!!! It's not a bad book per say but it's not been the best in the series that I've read so far.
It didn't get really interesting till near the end for me but it still kept integral to the continuing story of Juliette and her sexual awakening.....we see her torn in this book, torn between her Master, and her husband to be. She loves the connection she has with her Master and after her husband to be pretty much takes over her studies she's really missing Master, so she strikes a deal with him to have a no strings, no feelings relationship with her Master!! Will she fall for Master and jeopardise all what she's worked for far? Can she keep her husband to be happy also? All will be revealed!!!!!
I cannot wait for lesson 8 to see what becomes of Juliette next!!!!
Trust takes a different turn. Juliette wants Malcom. He seems drawn to her but to what extent. Things are turning messy as her husband is deciding to take over her training, things become clinical instead of really learning. How far will Master let it go. He is trying to look the other way but things are not going the way he wants. Juliette and Malcom come to a deal with 6 rules one of them is No Feelings of Love. Have the lines already been crossed can't wait to find out. This book leaves you wanting to know. Characters have more depth then every and you can feel how everything is changing. what comes next.
Like other "Lessons" in this series, Trust: Lesson Seven left me wondering. What exactly is going on here? I wasn't overly excited about this "lesson" until I neared the end. Then things got really interesting! Juliette is turning out to be quite the intelligent observer of everyone around her. I love her insights into Malcom, her best friend Jane, her Father, and her "husband-to-be". This lesson left me with lots of anticipation for what is to come. That is exciting! I can't wait to see what happens in Lesson Eight!
We follow Juliette in her studies since her last test, she needs her master.Since the client took over the rest of her studies she feels unanchored and needs direction. She makes a deal with Malcolm (Master) to have a physical no feelings relationship. Can she trust herself to not fall for Master and keep her course of marrying the Client? I can't wait for what's next and the choice she has to make will be difficult, can she trust herself to walk away? Ivolunteered to review this story.
I’ve read this series from the start and have thoroughly enjoyed each book till now. Trust was still an okay read but I didn’t think it matched the level of the others in the series. Maybe my expectations are a little high since the earlier books had great storyline’s and lots of steaminess.
I think I am not the only one invested in Juliette and Master..at this point I don't even care much about the husband..I would get rid of him if I could..unless there's a twist I don't see coming, that's it.. I enjoyed the novella but I am also getting impatient and frustrated lol.. didn’t and don't care much for Jane, so there's that too
This seventh book is about Juliette discovering what she wants. Not her husband. Not her Master. Not her father. She wants something forbidden. An affair with Master. She convinces him to explore their attraction. But he agrees on his terms. And the main rule: No Feelings. In the end he pushes her away. Can she convince him to continue? Will they get caught?
The ending of this book brought the rating up to a 4.5, however it probably would’ve been a 3.5/4 because there were quite a few grammatical errors and that always upsets me 🫢
The ending blew my mind 🤯 and I’m so excited to find out what happens next. I have a love/hate relationship with how short these books are!
I love this series. So interesting and sexy. The story is way beyond anything I would or could have ever imagined. Every step forward is a lesson for the main character, even if she doesn't want to accept it as such. Sexy sexy sexy.
In this book Juliette’s husband decides to take more of an active role in her training. Juliette isn’t sure about it. But, she know one thing she wants and she decides to go after it or him. Can’t wait to find out what happens next!!
This is just one of the myriad of reasons why I hate series books. This one was way too short. Which means the author is just making money at this point. I mean, go Raven Jayne for the easy money, but can you maybe wrap it up here soon. I tire of these people.
It just gets better and better I didn't expect this. I want more and more these series has gotten me soo eager to read and read. I love it soo much. I need Malcom on in my life.
This series is so good! The Master Class Series is an erotic story that will keep you captivated from beginning to end. I cannot wait for the next installment!
I’m liking Juliette more and more with each book. Shes finally opening her mind to what she wants and she’s not afraid to go after it. Can’t wait for the next one
This installment finds Juliette going after what she wants but also needing to fulfill the requirement that her husband to be lays out for her. Just like with the others, I’m anxiously awaiting the next one!
Things are getting really interesting with Juliette, Malcolm and the client. I've been rooting for Malcolm this whole time, but that ending makes me think it really is someone else. I cannot wait for Juliette to meet with him face to face and find out who he really is.
