Project Loki #3

Project Loki Vol. 2 Part 1

Machinations. Minions. Mudslinging.

The identity of the elusive Moriarty has been revealed, but the case is still far from over.
With a new member joining their ranks, the QED club continues to solve cases in Clark High, decosing a missing writer's peculiar poems, disarming bombs that threaten the school, and putting an end to the "Twinkle, Twinkle" murders.

Amidst the moves and countermoves between the club and the mastermind's gang, a shadow lurks in the dark; waiting for the opportune moment to strike.

The real chase has just begun.

hindi ba sila nauubusan ng estudyante? bat hindi pa rin nagsasara ung school nila 💀

i really like that there's a new girl in the club, but jamie is way too annoying. akala ko naman nagka-character development siya nung may nangyare kay lori.

As usual, superb writing style. Haha

And of course, paasa pa rin ang author sa LoreKi ship. Nandoon na eh. Kaso pinipigilan talaga. Hahaha

Di ko kinaya iyong twist sa huli. Although napag-hinalaan ko na rin ang character na iyon una palang. Kaso parang may mali. Feeling ko talaga hindi siya iyon. Ang gara naman kasi. 😂

Again, if fan kayo ng Sherlock Holmes or Detective Conan, magugustuhan niyo 'tong story na 'to. Wala ring romance plot. 😅

My thoughts are pretty much the same as with the first book. While the series continues to have an interesting concept, I still couldn't overlook how many scenes felt heavily inspired by other mystery franchises. It sometimes feels more like paying homage than creating something truly original.

That said, I did appreciate that the stakes became higher and the characters received a bit more development. Some mysteries were more engaging, but the predictability remained an issue. I was hoping for more distinctive twists that would set the series apart from the stories it was clearly inspired by.

Moriarity's tentacles were unveiled, almost an end to Q.E.D. club.
Author never fail to challenge his readers. If you've read the book, some of the plot might be a little predictable. Still challenging to guess the whose ...

Prolly the best one yet. Haven't read the others, so I can't say for now. Such a great story, it's like reading Detective Conan but in novel form.

As the story progresses, the chapters become more suspenseful, especially the last chapter. Moriarty's minions/generals were being exposed one by one, and I think I have an idea who the girl among his generals is.
