Cold Revenge
Cold Revenge is the 7th book in the Ellie Kline series. Mary Stone and Donna Berdel have written another intense book. It starts out with a mother trying to save her children. I was really hoping for a good outcome since the mother betrayed the FBI to save her children. Abel del Rey aka Kingsley is terrorizing people again. Ellie and Clay are trying to locate Gage since he called Ellie and told her Kingsley found him. Will they find him in time? Katarina is playing house with her daughter and has become bored so she finds another way to release her tension. At one point in the book, it was so intense I had to stop reading for a few minutes. I could feel Gage’s pain and suffering.
Watch out Katarina, Kingsley is coming for you.

Mary Stone and Donna Berdel have done it again. Cold Trail keeps you in suspense and draws out all kinds of emotions.
Ellie Kline is still after Dr. Kingsley; however, she sets his case aside to work a cold case that involves a missing autistic boy. At the start of the book you get a brief glimpse into this young boy’s life. Ellie does everything possible to solve his case and find out what happened to other children.
Dr. Kingsley is still plotting his revenge against Katarina and Ellie. Katarina and Harmony are in trouble and their story line keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Ellie and Clay are still working together and at the end of the book Clay gets some information on his missing sister. I can’t wait to read the next book.

Wow, unexpected twists, turns and revelations throughout the book. Ellie is still looking for Dr. Kingsley and Bethany while Clay is looking for his sister. Katarina’s mama bear comes out during the search for Bethany. A surprising death occurs in the police department. Emotions range from fear, horror, despair, sadness, but also relief, happiness, and peace. Revelations are revealed about Katarina and Kingsley that have you wondering what if. The book is well written and the ending is, well you need to read it to find out. Make sure to have tissues handy.
You can read the books in any order, but I recommend reading them in order so you will know all the characters. You cannot go wrong reading the Ellie Kline series.

The ELLIE KLINE COLD CASE series by Mary Stone and Donna Berdel are intense, suspenseful, spine chilling thrillers. The authors Mary Stone and Donna Berdel are amazing and always manage to capture your attention in the first few pages. I was hooked into this series and each installment from the first page and couldn't put stop reading until the end. The interaction between characters is intense making this a true nail-biting, page turner.
COLD REVENGE #7: Dr. Kingsley has been haunting and hurting Ellie Kline and those she loves since she was fifteen years old. They thought he died during their last encounter, but he has returned, looking for revenge.
COLD TRAIL #8: Dr. Kingsley is still busy plannig his revenge on everyone who has failed him. Ellie is just as determined to stop Kingsley as ever, but first she has one of the stolen chidren from Florida to find and identify -- but Kingsley is always on her mind.
COLD DEATH #9: The final installment in the Ellie Kline Cold Case series by Mary Stone and Donna Berdel, is just as intense and spine chilling as each of the other installments to this series. Ellie is on the tail of Kingsley and little Bethany. Will Kingsley finally be stopped and Bethany saved? Will Ellie finally be able to stop looking over her shoulder? And Clay? This series just gets better and better, it’s a non stop adrenaline rush book. How long can this viscous man continue killing without getting caught. Ellie and Clay are up against a bomb ticking ready to explode. I was so relieved it was not over yet.. Can’t wait till next book it just addictive .

Ellie Kline
I loved this series and read them one after the other. I didn't care for the mistakes in book 8. Katarina killed her boyfriend by stabbing him between his ribs and right into his heart but all the references after that were how she cut his throat. It just kept throwing me off until I went back to double check. The ending was just what I had imagined and I loved it. Thank you for a great read.

June 6, 2022Well, it got my attention and I enjoyed the tension between Ellie's family and her choice of career. Now that I'm reading the later books in the series, I find myself getting impatient with the rehashing of the same old characters' angst. Maybe the author is trying to ensure that readers who began in the middle of this lengthy series would learn the entire back story. For one who read the series from the beginning, I find myself flipping past these parts.

Great Series!
I have loved the Ellie Kline series. The villain was amazing and believable. I was gripped through each book and the characters were so great! Definitely worth reading if you like serial killers and the crime fighters that figure them out.

Thrilling to the end
As always, this book didn't disappoint. I start reading and don't want to stop. What a thriller! I wanted to cry at the horrible things the villain did. I love the ending. Good people experiencing tragedy deserve a happy ending.

Couldn't put the series down!
It's been 8 days and I just finished Book 9 of the Ellie Kline series. Fun reading that requires a bit of thought, the characters are wonderfully imperfect and the action is never lacking. I'm ready for Book 10!

I read a lot of book an usually I can’t read all the books in a series but this author knows how to keep you interested. Never once did the series seem like the same from the one before.

I loved this series and hate for them to end. Ellie was damaged but smart and brave. The villain was ruthless. I even came to like Katarina.
