A simple DNA test is all it takes. Just a quick mouth swab and soon you'll be matched with your perfect partner—the one you're genetically made for. That's the promise made by Match Your DNA. A decade ago, the company announced that they had found the gene that pairs each of us with our soul mate
I went into this book by recommendation, and considering mostly what I read are physiological thrillers, that's what I thought this book would be. Even though it didn't fall into my favorite genre this book was a nice change up. At first I was nervous I wouldn't follow along very well either the multiple characters POVS and the multiple characters in each of their lives but honestly it was pretty clear and concise. I appreciate how he limited it to 3-4 characters per "individual story" so things were easy to remember. I also appreciate the short chapters. Not only does that make a book easy to get through but also helps you not forget about each of their stories!
While there were things I kind of predicted, like Matt hating Ellie because he broke up his parents or Amy killing Christopher. There was some good little plot twists I didn't see coming. Especially in Nicks story which I found to be the most crazy. Especially at the end with his ex fiancée dying and what he thought would be his baby but it was his best friends?? Or Mandy having that guy's baby and when the mom took it they found out the mom most likely kidnapped her own "children" too?
Easy read for sure, happy I read it :)

Truthfully, I didn't think this book would be past 3 stars when I first heard of it, but it was a pleasant surprise. It got me thinking about the ethics of using DNA to match partners and the idea of using it to help with birth rates. The novel also creates a lot of questions around the hierarchy of being matched with your "ideal" mate plus it was really a page turner and interesting storyline.
Took me a long time to get through this book. It didn’t really grab my attention till after halfway there were a lot of characters introduced early on and it was hard to keep up with, but once I got them together, I did start to enjoy this book a solid three stars. The ending is probably the best part.
Felt like I would need a flip chart at the beginning... Marrs' writing always grabs me so I held on. I got to know the characters intimately and it became easier to follow. Brings to question the ethics of using DNA to "match" people.
