• Simple ang pagkakasulat ng mga sanaysay at tula sa librong ito. Karaniwan man ang mga payo ngunit ito ay nagsisilbing paalala sa atin kapag nakakalimutan natin pahalagahan ang ating sarili.

Nakakalma siya basahin. Kung naghahanap ka ng libro na maikli basahin, subukan mo ito. Sigurado makaka-relate ka.

Salamat Ms. Kim dahil nabuo mo itong masulat. Sa katulad ko na matindi yung pinagdadaanan sa buhay marami rin ako natuklasan at natutunan kaya hindi ko rin mapagilan ma-iyak ng husto nito. Hindi ako palabasa ng mga tula pero etong libro ang nag bigay linaw sa akin at masasabi kong marerekomenda ko sa lahat.

A lot of the prose and poetry in this collection are very relatable. The emotions are easy to visualize, especially because of the writer’s use of metaphors. Some lines captured a feeling so accurately that I had to highlight them.

This is a really good collection of poetry and prose written in Taglish, mostly Filipino. I especially enjoyed how the language made the emotions feel more intimate and familiar. There’s something about reading certain feelings in your own language that makes them hit differently.

One thing I noticed is that the writer is a Christian. I’m Catholic, but I’m not particularly religious, so I’m not used to reading poetry collections that openly talk about lifting your pain and suffering up to the Lord. It was interesting to see faith woven into the writing, especially because the collection deals with heartbreak, healing, and the things we carry.

While I don’t necessarily relate to that aspect personally, I appreciated how sincere it felt. It wasn’t just about enduring pain, but also about finding comfort, surrender, and hope through faith.

Overall, I really enjoyed this collection. The writing is simple but emotionally effective, and the metaphors make the feelings easy to connect with. It’s the kind of book where you can read a few pages, find a line that speaks to you, and immediately want to highlight it.

Maraming yugto bago magtungo sa paghilom kayâ hinati ang aklat sa anim: (1) Pananatili, (2) Pag-ibig, (3) Pag-alala at Pagbalik, (4) Pagsulong, (5) Pagpili, at (6) Paghilom.

Medyo may lalim at tama ang datíng sa akin ng ilang mga sanaysay. Pinakatumama sa akin ang “Honor your Transition” dahil nasa ganitong yugto na ako; walang nangyayaring kakaiba dahil naghihintay pa sa pagtawid sa bagong yugto. Kailangang-kailangan ko itong mapakinggan mula sa ibang tao.

Napansin ko lang na napapadalas ang pagkakaroon ng mali sa baybay, sa gramatika, at iba pang teknikalidad sa pagtatapos ng aklat. Gayumpaman, mahusay!

Maganda naman yung pagkakasulat and maganda rin yung mga tula nya. Medyo relatable din hehe.
