I'm grateful for the opportunity to read Scott Allan's book, "Empower Your Gratitude..." It is a motivational guide filled with inspirational quotes and practical suggestions on how to incorporate more gratitude and abundance in our lives.

One of the suggestions is to make gratitude a regular practice so it becomes a routine habit. I like how he compares working on gratitude as though it were a muscle that needs to be developed and strengthened. I'm not sure it will ever become as automatic as blinking for this reader, but I can definitely improve my gratitude habit by following some of the steps outlined in Allan's guide.

While I don't feel there's any new ground covered in this book, there is plenty to appreciate. Most of the exercises are clearly explained and easy to follow. As Allan mentions in his guide, there is no "one way" to read it. You can skip around the chapters and concentrate on those areas that resonate with you and where you are in life right now.

I look forward to reading more of Scott Allan's empowerment series.

Gratitude Empowered!

At first glance … “Empower your gratitude” seems like a cheesy title. But that’s actually what this book does. Empowers & magnifies your gratitude. And when that happens, all kinds of things are possible.

I loved the list of life-changing benefits of gratitude in Chapter 1. That really hit me between the eyes. It reduces your need for greed or “more” … and you become more aware of empathy and the needs of others. When you realize that what you have is good enough … things really start to shift. You become more self-confident, optimistic, patient, secure, and love and happiness flow more freely. The one that hit me deep: it may help save your marriage. This is so powerful.

The benefits don’t stop there. They go on to benefit you in the physical and mental health realms.

Focusing on what you do have and celebrating that, actually interestingly opens the door to abundance. It’s a powerful concept. The book even goes on to teach you how to have gratitude for failures, obstacles, and rejection!

Each section has a lot of exercises and questions to dig you into a state of gratitude.

I needed this book in many ways.

A book worth reading!

This book is full of so much knowledge that each page and chapter embraces you to become a better you. It's easy to read and draws you in to accept that gratitude is something I need to work more on and that if I don't get my mindfulness right things in my life will stay the same. This book walks you through things you probably know you need to do but have avoided in your life because of fear or judgment. It's time to take back your own life and I know this book is full of wisdom that will help you grow because it's helped me open my eyes to so many possibilities if only I make the right moves. I highly recommend this book as the author did a great job of keeping my attention through the book and left quite an impact on me.

be empowered

I really enjoyed the many perspectives of gratitude, the empowering quotes, and the act itself. Although I consider myself a grateful person, I found additional ways to think about gratitude. It is not one dimensional. Definitely recommend reading.
