London is ablaze and the only ones who can stop it are the members of Team Reaper!
Three bombs have gone off in London, the work of Libyan Terrorists. Or is it?
MI5 brought in the team, now stationed in Hereford, to help investigate the bombings after the SAS were sidelined for an incident overseas. However, all is not what it seems as they soon discover, and Team Reaper is once again engaged in a life and death struggle from Libya to their adopted country’s shores.
But an old enemy isn’t finished with them and soon, Kane is drawn into a new game. One where winning means everything and losing is not an option.
If you've been following the previous books in this series, then you know what to expect in this one, and you probably don't even need to read this review. If you're a new reader, go back to at least Hunting Ghosts (#15), as this book continues on directly from that one. This series is pure entertainment, the closest thing we have to a modern day Mack Bolan/Executioner, and Brent Towns has taken things to a new level with these last two entries. Looking forward to seeing where the story goes from here.
London's Burning continues a great series by Brent Towns!
Team Reaper has relocated themselves from the US to Hereford, England, due to their last mission in Book #15 (Hunting Ghosts). And things start out with a bang. No kidding.
After three bombs go off in London, MI 5, British Military Intelligence Security Service, contacts Team Reaper to determine who, what, why, how, as well as the when and where of the next bombings - if there is any to happen in the near future.
Team Reaper soon finds themselves battling the IRA and Libyan terrorists in a thrilling story.
Brent Towns includes a wide range of British dialogue that we've been hearing from their teammate, Knocker, as well as introducing a new Irish dialogue to the reader.
You can't miss an exciting story, so get started - now!
It has been said that, "No good deed goes unpunished." And John, along with Team Reaper, has been often punished for many good and honorable deeds. Whether they are in the United States or Mexico dealing with cartels, or in Europe or the Middle East dealing with terrorists they get, as Rodney Dangerfield repeated, "No respect!" But they take the chances and fight against a group in England who wants to re-ignite the Troubles with Northern Ireland or a corrupt government employee who runs illegal guns to anyone and everyone who buys them. As bad as that is, to kidnap John's recovering (from a coma) and locking her in a secret government prison is just too much! Reaper may be without his Team but he isn't alone. Follow him through twists, turns and surprises galore on this trip to save London!
This, the latest in the “Team Reaper Series” by author Brent Towns is the best yet. 5 Stars simply doesn’t do it justice.
As I’ve read this series from the first book published I can truly say that it has simply improved with each new offering. This, book 1 of “The Outcasts” portion simply cannot be put down once started. Action from the beginning, with a new plot twist appearing in almost every new chapter. I now am waiting for book 2. Anxiously.
KUDOS to you Brent Towns. You did good.
I highly recommend this book BUT ONLY if you read the series in order. If you do not you are going to be a bit frustrated by material referenced that you do not understand. It is a series after all.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading London's Burning by Brent Towns. Multiple storylines kept me engaged in this action-packed suspense story. Other reviewers also mention that Mr. Towns is improving with each new book. Although this story leaves somewhat of a cliffhanger, I will purchase the next book to see how the final event turns out. Great job! I highly recommend any of the books in this series...I've not been let down yet.
I can’t put these Reaper books down once I start reading them. There’s never a dull moment when Team Reaper are in action. I finished book 16 and can’t find “The Outcasts” books to continue the journey. I continued with the Fear the Reaper series and have completed that too. I need more Team Reaper! Brent Towns is an incredible writer so don’t miss any of his work if you enjoy action packed, edge of your seat books.
I've read most books f the books in this series. That action sequences are pretty good, but some of the descriptions are bad, not really contributing to the story. I like the characters enough to keep reading the series, but hope for better prose in the future books.
Towns never disappoints. Team Reaper mixing it up with the IRA, Libyan Spec. Forces and a little trouble in the US of A. All the action and team camaraderie you've come to expect. Gotta love Knocker as well. It leaves you in a little cliffhanger but you know you're gonna read the next one anyway. Cheers.
I really get into the Reaper series it is well written with great character descriptions and complete backgrounds. Their are always twists and turns. When you get to the end of the story you are frustrated because you know that you have to wait for the next part of the story.
John Kane and Cara are the leaders of a tremendous group of men an women doing the right thing. Brent Towns has written another exciting chapter for the team. These characters are believable and hard not to like. Fast paced with twists and turns. Great read
Highly entertaining read that I devoured in a single sitting. I really love how the plot flows from book to book. I can't wait to get the next book. That wait is always the hardest part.
Team Reaper action seems non-stop and it's hard to find a good place to stop for the night. Thanks also for a tight, well-proofed book -- they're becoming harder to find these days!
This Book uphold the standard set by the previous books. This book is action packed. Character interaction is great. Will be waiting for the next book.
I would recommend every book in the reaper series. Have spent may hours glued to my kindle can,t wait for the next one .rate 10 of 10 action packed 5 stars
I love the Team Reaper series. This one starts off fast and never slows down, and I love that. If you’re on the fence about this author just start from the beginning and work your way forward. You will not be disappointed.
