Sometimes falling on your sword is the only option.
Armed with critical intelligence and surrounded by a team of ruthless operators, elite assassin Reed Montgomery is ready to deliver a death blow against the criminal empire that destroyed his family.
His greatest enemy, Aiden Phillips, leads that empire, and Reed is ready to rip him down.
But Aiden didn't come this far or rise this high just to go down without a fight. He'll shelter behind an army of killers, using humans as shields while targeting Reed's closest allies and friends.
Because Aiden believes every man has his price, and he knows what Reed treasures most.
The last battle of this bloody war may cost Reed everything.

This was the final book in a series that got better with each volume. A very satisfying conclusion, but the story doesn't end but continues in the "Prosecution Force" series, which I had already read. If you are new to this author, I would recommend you read this series first rather than what I did.
Murder, pharmaceutical corruption, and political intrigue...
It all finally comes together in a last showdown with promised immunity to Reed.... until suddenly it doesn't when yet another politician fails to keep his word. So our hero and his fiance take an extended vacation in sunny South America as the ones who reneged on their promises are making political and judicial history with the information Reed gave them... The evil billionaire pharmaceutical is being prosecuted with an ironclad case... but the thank you's are strangely unheard.... Oh well! Great book and thoroughly enjoyable series!
I read all 7 books back to back and this is a brief review of the entire series Don't get all the 5* reviews, its ok, but certainly not good and definitely not excellent The action is non stop, you literally feel as any pause in the action is just a momentary lapse by the author takes another breath and the actions starts all over again The main character, Reed, is supposed to be some super soldier/assassin, yet half the time he only survives due to others messing up, or others saving him As a team they are unstoppable, but as an individual Reed is anything but
This was the last book in the great series - I have really enjoyed each and every book. I strongly recommend reading all the books in the correct order, I promise you will not be disappointed. Sadly, all good things must come to an end, but wait Reed Montgomery will be returning in 2022 in Brink of War - I can hardly wait. A huge thank you to the author Logan Ryles for writing these books and allowing us to enjoy the ride. A well deserved 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I have read all books of Reed Montgomery series and love each of them. No minute to breath and relax that how intense the story is. And Reed Montgomery himself is a good person even he is a assassin. Definitely will make action movie full of thrill and excitement. hope somebody will look in to it.💗 author definitely knows how to capture audience attention.💗
What a way to end a series that had no let up throughout! Aiden Phillips has been untouchable. All of his criminal and immoral activities finally come home to roost. Reed is #1 on the FBI's most wanted list, with a $250,000 bounty on his head. Everyone, even his friends, think he is a cop killer. That isn't going to stop him from going after Aiden. But at what cost?
Reed has to rescue Banks & Wolfgang from drug cartel!
While trying to take down the warehouse they found in Mexico. Then smuggle them all nack into the US. As usual with Reed there is a lot of gun battles and blowing things up, not to mention Legion X mercenaries after him. All & all same old Reed story.
A satisfying conclusion to the seven book series, that leaves open further Reed Montgomery adventures - scheduled for Spring 2022. As usual, our hero takes his bumps and bruises, but this time gains and loses a relative. A long time series regular departs also, but in the end, the hero gets the girl!

I read these on my Kindle and I could scarcely put it down. I knew that Reed would survive, that he would hold things together, but he couldn’t do it by himself, so what a cast of characters, each more well-drawn than the last. After 7 volumes, we know some of them well, while others pop on the scene. A tour-de-force.
Oh my gosh I read both series. I absolutely could not put the books down. These two separate Reed Montgomery series were a power house, couldn't wait until the next book. I loved every single book and would love for Reed Montgomery to continue on. Mr Rules I'm hooked now so keep them coming!
Started with 1 to 3. Immediately, carried on to 4 5 and 6. Just finished 7 and already looking to get anything else that he's written. So many books......so little time!
I really enjoyed this series of books. Yes I didn't care for having to buy the next book to continue the story. But being retired and being diagnosed with Lymphoma what else did I have to do.
What a great series this has been, I wanted to post each book as I finished them, but couldn’t wait to read the next in line. I will watch for the release of his next book. Thumbs up 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Can't recommend this whole series highly enough. So well written, brilliant story line, exciting and unputdownable. Glad to see there are a whole load more adventures for Reed.
Wonderful character development, lots of action, and terrific plots. Bad guys are easy to dislike, good guys are easy to support and cheer on. Mr. Rules is very good at his craft. Enjoy!
Just finished "Sundown" and enjoyed all 7 books in the series. Now started on "Brink of War" which is a good sequel to "Sundown". I'm sure I'll enjoy this set of stories as well.
Hard to put down, wish I had read this series before the next set about the president. In the world we live in right now, this very well could be happening.
