For psychic Charlie Payne, gruesome visions of death are just a normal Tuesday—
but when she investigates the murders of two green witches, her usual methods lead nowhere. With her options to save the next victim dwindling, she must test a dangerous new form of astral projection to find the killer.

Meanwhile, Charlie's cousin Lisa has her own set of problems. When an opportunity to fulfill a lifelong dream of owning a garden center drops in her lap, it seems almost too good to be true. When her store manager dies in a mysterious accident after being stalked for months, that dream quickly turns into a nightmare. Now the stalker has turned his sights on Lisa, and it turns out the “lucky” plant left to her by the previous owner is anything but.

As if that wasn't bad enough when the threads of Charlie's murder investigation tangle with Lisa's growing list of troubles, both of their lives will be on the line.

I don’t think I’ve ever left a book review. If I’m honest, it’s because I’m terrified my review won’t do the book and/or the author’s dedication, justice. Well, here goes...my first review.

I discovered the “Haunting Charlie” series one day while browsing Kindle recommendations based on my reading interests. Somewhere within the pages of the first chapter, I was hooked. I’ve loved every moment of every page in each book and in the process, I learned to open my mind to topics which always seemed a little taboo. As the characters developed, so did I and such is the beauty and magic of this series.

Initially, I panicked when I realized our amazing author was giving Charlie a tad break (which isn’t the case at all). There was a moment of hesitation as I picked up, “The Kitchen Witch” and I questioned whether I could immerse myself into a story line which didn’t focus solely on Charlie. I quickly chastised myself as I realized this series has never been solely about Charlie, but rather an entire family with bonds as strong as the tendrils of the silver satin pothos. I can’t believe I’d considered for even the briefest moment to not continue this journey that constantly has me checking release dates for the latest title in the series.

Somewhere within the first few pages of “The Green Witch,” I realized tears on my cheeks. It felt like being reunited with an old friend you’d not seen in a while but missed dearly. It was rather odd because of all the characters, I’d always felt like Lisa was the one I’d connected the least with. Then it hit me: this is exactly why we need to meet each character on a more personal level; to appreciate their gifts and understand how crucial their role is to their family and the series. So much thought and time has gone into character development and I now see why it’s necessary to tell each person’s story. Each character is like a ribbon of color on a rainbow; as each color forms an imperfect arch, subsequent colors appear, creating a majestic thing of beauty enhanced by the knowledge that their unification is the true gem. I fell in love with Lisa and as a brand new gardener, I discovered how important it is for our kindness to extend beyond people and pets and how that kindness benefits nature and the world. “Wait? A book got ya’ thinking like that?”
“Absolutely!”

I feel we were given many gifts with this book. In addition to the numerous surprises you’ll discover, the length of the book was the longest yet. For someone like myself who just can’t get enough, I was to the moon when I realized I’d have many hours to spend with characters I’ve grown so very fond of. For those who may fret over missing Charlie, no worries! She’s just as much a main part of this book as she’s ever been.

This series is progressing exactly as it needs to be. I’m not sure how I know that, but I just feel it in my bones. Lol. It’s almost as if someone is gently guiding our author’s hand, saying, “This is how their stories need to be told and you are doing the perfect job.” This latest book allows the reader to see all the possible directions future books will take and I am giddy with anticipation.

I won’t give any spoilers as you only need to read a page or two before becoming completely immersed in the book. I tried taking my time reading this one because I wanted to relish every moment. I’d like to add, this past year has been incredibly difficult and I’ve suffered significant losses, but the power of these books have given me so much comfort and allowed me to be appreciative of the people and things around me. This is the beautiful power of storytelling. Thank you Wendy; your amazing heart radiates throughout each page.

I love how the author not only switches up the main focus of the stories with each book but that different characters are also switched to the forefront.

Two stories are happening through out this book. The first is Charlie is called in on a murder of a witch and while at the scene Deputy Jason Tate calls her to come look at another murder of another witch. I liked that the “human” police combined forces with the DOL (witch police) in the investigating of the murders. Many of the DOL characters we hadn't seen in a while get to play bigger part in this story.

The other story running along side is Charlie's cousin Lisa Holloway. Lisa, who is a lawyer, has just purchased the Palmetto Point Florist and Garden Center. She very excited but also having anxieties over can she juggle both her job as a lawyer and being the boss of a Florist and Garden Center. She is happy that both sides of the business already have good managers and she hits it off with one of them. But that joy doesn't last long when she is killed and it starts to look like it wasn't an accident.

Lisa asks her fiancé – Deputy Jason Tate – to look into her death and in his and Charlies inquires discover it could be related the other two murders they are working on.

This series blends the paranormal and regular world issues perfectly. This time its Lisa having a life crisis not only over her new responsibility as a business owner but the planning of her wedding to Jason along with an unexpected surprise she wasn't ready for. The author is also good at dropping little hooks on things that will be in future books. I've loved this series from the beginning and still enjoy every book since. Cant wait for the next one.

I really enjoy this series

The Garden Witch by Wendy Wang is her latest in The Witches of Palmetto Point is book 12 in the series. Since I found this series I could hardly wait for the next installment. The story is about family, good friends and some suspense. Oh, and the women are witches! I hope this next installment is put soon because I can’t wait to get to know Daphne better. Good job Ms. Wang.

Great book!

Wendy Wang gave us Lisa’s story in The Green Witch! The book was so much fun to read, and as usual I couldn’t put it down. We got murder, mystery and mayhem, ghosts and some cool magical stuff with both the DOL and the Sheriff’s office involved. Charlie, Lisa, Daphne, Jen, Ben, Jason, Tom and Evangeline are all there and of course step up to support their family members. I can’t wait for the next book!

I've just finished reading all 12 books in the series - so far. This was my first foray into this type of supernatural fiction, and I enjoyed every minute of it. These books should really be the basis of a television series. Each of the characters is fully fleshed out and the plots of each book, while building on the ones before, are fresh and interesting. I've read too many tedious series where you know that the denouement will occur at chapter 15, etc. I'm happy to say Wang does not fall into this trap.

If you want to spend many enjoyable hours with a happy family of witches, and other assorted beings, then delve into this series. You won't regret it.

Enjoyed this one

I really loved the inclusion of plants in this series, so much so it makes me want to rush out and buy several houseplants! I was mostly happy with the story, although again I felt like some characters didn't have enough breath for life, some seemed a bit wasted, and still unhappy with Charlie's journey. I'll still keep reading the series, though I have doubts that the next main character has enough personality to carry it. Still, I am invested in several of the other characters and curious to see where their paths take them. Would love more backstory from all of the characters.

I just love the adventures and "spooky" things in Wendy Wang's Palmetto Point series. And, I understand a new book is underway "Glamour Witch". Wendy does a great job in tying together the various pieces of the story to bring it to an interesting close and leaving you wanting the next issue in the series. I would highly recommend starting with the first book and you will soon find yourself plowing through all 12 in no time. They are an easy read, fun if you like magic and the "good guys" win and love prevails. Enjoy!

What a wonderful surprise

I can't Say enough about how surprised I was At the outcome of this book. At first,I will say that I thought this book would be the most boring of the series. Why? I'm not really sure.. But what a wonderful surprise it was that I couldn't put it down. Like the others in this series, I absolutely loved every detail and emotion that rolled along with every Awesome Character to date. Please don't listen to the haters and please.. Continue to write about this Beautiful family and their adventures. Many Blessings to you as I await your next work of art.

"Witches on parade"

If you enjoy mystery without the blood and gore, this is the series for you! Each book follows along from the previous book. Easy to read and hard to put down! These books are chuck full of witches and more. My only complaint is the proof reader didn't do a very good job. So many times in every book, extra words were in sentences that didn't belong. I had to reread the sentences to have the sentence make sense. After a while, it was automatic to do.
All in all, I enjoyed the series.

Missing

Somethings were missing here. Where was Tom during the wedding? Why did he get angry at Charlie during the takedown? Why wasn't there more in-depth from Charlie about Jason/Lisa's wedding? Jason had no reflection about his situation, and oh, I just felt this letdown at the end.
Enjoyable story even with my questions lingering in my head.
Wang developed Charlie's character in first books so much more. Its what intrigued me to read. This book lacked the family - ness of their stories. How is Evan's magic coming along?

I’m not really sure if I loved it or just liked it. I loved this entire series honestly it was amazing. But I just don’t like pregnancy tropes and it was so obvious🤦🏼‍♀️ and she’s like no I’m just sick blah blah blah. I hate that lmao and I never felt like she was that insecure about things honestly. The books still mainly focus on Charlie and little to do with Lisa I was kinda hoping for a bit more of Lisa then Charlie. But I still loved the plots. I like that it’s multiple plots going on at once. I love the mystery of it.

The 12th Book in the Witches of Palmetto Point Series by Wendy Wang is The Green Witch and it is amazing. You've heard of people who have a green thumbs? Well, take that a giant step further and think about green witches who have an unnaturally super symbiotic relationship with plants. At the same time that Charlie and the DOL team are trying to solve the murder of several witches Charlie's sister Lisa buys a thriving a thriving combined greenhouse and flower shop business. This is another great book from this author.

Details are Important

I gave this book a 4 because I was disappointed by the writers lack of research into Myrtle Beach. Details are important for any book. Myrtle Beach doesn't have numbered streets we have numbered avenues. North Myrtle Beach and Myrtle Beach are two entirely different cities. We don't have a Harrison street its Harrelson Blvd and 501 doesn't cross over Hwy 17, it passes under 17. Other than those details the book was a fun and entertaining read.

Enchanting as always

Of COURSE I wanted to know Lisa's story. I've read all the Witches of Palmetto Point books and feel as if I know the Holloway family as well as I know my own family. As much as I love Charlie and want to know what's happening with her, learning more about Lisa, Jen, Daphne, and even Evangeline is exciting.

I enjoyed every minute of this magical who-done-it and can't wait for Daphne's story.

Wendy Wang has done it again! Another exceptional adventure with characters that are like old friends!

Someone is dealing in memory charms and curses. They get greedy to have all the business to themselves and 2witches get murdered! In comes Charlie and the DOL, and of course Jason and her family. Fast paced action as they try to solve these murders and protect one of their own from the killer. I think this is one of my favorites so far!

Good Goddess, This Is Fun Read!

Thanks, Wendy Wang, for another fun read! This time around, Wendy gives us a glimpse into Lisa's life. After buying a garden center from a retiring owner, Lisa finds herself busy with not just her law practice but a brisk garden center business.

Great plot with plenty of mystery and good witch magic! This book is longer with more richly woven story lines. I love all the Palette Point books but this one was my favorite!

In this latest volume in the series the story line is vastly improved; the author has thankfully moved from involving children as victims of violence. Punctuation and grammatical errors have improved also, although misplaced commas are still a bit troublesome.

These stories are for a niche audience that appreciates the southern style of hospitality and politesse while ignoring its distinctly problematic aspects. But Wang is a natural storyteller; with a good editor, she could go far.

Great read

I really enjoyed reading the green witch.
, I love all the characters and was a lovely happy ending for Jason and Lisa.
I'm also looking forward to reading the the glamor witch and getting to know more about Daphne and really really hope Wendy writes about Tom, Joy and Williams life's pre reaper and present as I think it would be very interesting and Charlies journey on becoming a reaper.
Thank you for the great reads Wendy x

Best Book Yet

The Witches of Palmetto Point “cast a spell” on me with the first book. I simply could not stop because the characters are wonderful and the stories filled with both relationships and intrigue. The Green Witch is the last book available now, and I hated to reach the end. It was my favorite of all the books so far. The introduction of a magical plant was a special treat! Now I have to find something to read while waiting for the release of Book 13!

Keep them coming Wendy!

The Witches of Palmetto Point Books are a series of books that I have been reading for a while. I just finished book 12 of this 13 book series ( I hope there are more coming) and loved it just as much as I did the first.

I bought the first book imaging it it would be a quick, and easy summer read, BUT..then I couldn't put them down. Each character, each book becomes someone you know and read more about!

Best one yet

I absolutely adored this book! Lisa always caught my attention with her snarky attitude, no holds barred, truthful yet loving handling of people. Getting to know her better in this book was fantastic. I smiled through the tears at the wedding. I'm waiting to learn more about Billie. There is something we need to know about her. It seems we have been heard, as there were a lot fewer typos and grammatical errors in this book.

For years I was a huge reader. After being diagnosed with PTSD two years ago, my ability to read fell apart. I could read the occasional book once in a very while, but I couldn’t read like I did back in the day.

Then, I found Wendy Wang and her witches of Palmetto point series and OMG did Wendy Wang change my life. I’m not only reading her series, I’m reading everything.

Thank you, Wendy Wang, and bless your witches of Palmetto point .

the green witch

Oh my stars. This author has a talent that is exemplary. I have been binge reading this series. As soon as I finish one I've started another! Did she put a spell on it? Lol. Seriously though. Great writing, plots and characters. Still need a little work in the grammar department but that has also improved. Keep up the excellent work! Live this series. Highly recommend.

Loved this story

This is one of my favorites in the series. I adore Lisa and Jason. I like to see the way Charlie is evolving as well. My only criticism , and it is minor, is the overuse of the phrase "sure thing". Every character says it. Often.
I am definitely looking forward to Daphne's story.

Fantastic read

This was an amazing read. A big step up from the last book. It told Lisa's story and she was strong and kicka** like her character has been portrayed all along. This was two stories that blended perfectly into one. These characters are some of my favorites. The ghosts, suspense, love, and family pull you in.
