A POISON SO DEADLY, A SINGLE GRAM CAN KILL EVERY HUMAN ON THE PLANET.
Former Navy SEAL John Kovac is trying to make a go of it in London. He's done with his old line of work, done with the lies, and most important of all done with killing. He'd be looking good for a fresh start too, if he hadn't just found his identity up for auction on the dark web...
It doesn't take Kovac long to figure out the source of the breach. His old employer, Curzon International, is in trouble. A routine software update has compromised the company's networks. With its systems down, its staff locked out and clients demanding compensation, the multinational's on the verge of collapse.
To protect his past, and protect himself from bidders who want him dead, Kovac has no choice. As Curzon's go-to "fixer", it's time to return to the fold.
Kovac finds an ally in the company's new CEO, Megan Curzon. She's just as strategic, just as capable and just as ruthless as he is, and together they uncover a single name: “Delphi”. But who or what is Delphi…?
Desperate for answers, Kovac and Megan peel back the layers. They discover the threat to Curzon extends well beyond a simple data breach. A lethal bioweapon lurks in the well-to-do boroughs of London, where a young woman, a bitter mercenary and a group of terrorists make plans for an attack like no other...
Another great addition to the the john kovac saga.
Mr. Caris delivers the continuing moral enigma that is john kovac. As an assassin, there is no doubt who the bad guy is. Except for the fact that i once again find myself rooting for the bad guy. Kovac just wants to live in peace after . what he went through in Shadow kill. There is someone who doesn't want that to happen and once again Kovac is sucked back in even though he made a promise to himself to not kill, anymore, sometimes the only way to stop evil people is killing them. Throughout the story, you join Kovac in London, Paris and oth cities across Europe. Mr. Caris blends the characters & fast paced action masterfully. I was thinking that the story was going one way & then another. My only regret is i finished the book and have to wait until 2022 for book#3 to be released.
If you enjoy reading thrilling mystery stories, this is a book for you. It has a lot of action and deceit, a plot full of twists and many turns, most of the time unforeseen. It also made me sad to think that people who could be doing only good are spending most of their time and energy doing despicable things, although this is a work of fiction, we quite often find the same situations in corporate real life. The number one position in a conglomerate is always a difficult and lonely one that requires strong values and honesty besides a keen business compass. I downloaded a free copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.
Another great John Kovac novel. I love how methodical and thorough Kovac is when tracking and taking down a target. I know I have said this with a few other new authors and series that I’ve recently gotten hooked on but this is another that has quickly become one of my favorites. I’m looking forward to reading book #3 when Caris’ name comes back around on my author carousel. I hope he either adds more to the Kovac series or he starts a new one for me to get hooked on!!! Pick this book up if you love fast paced in your face action.
A very enjoyable book. Caris writes well and tells a good story. There are a lot of twists and turns in the novel, some of which I deduced, and others I did not.
A somewhat difficult to follow novel about software sabotage and another American superhero/assassin who solves the problem but who is having second thoughts about his past and his chosen profession. The book comes off as a poor imitation of many better-written similar stories.
I havre read many books and this one ranks in the top ten at the least. Very good, intense and relevant. Would highly recommend this and can’t wait for more episodes to arrive
Very well written and grabs your attention. It is written in such a way as I am able to see it playing as a movie in my mind. I hope to have the opportunity to read more by this author.
