Tony Sinatra has always been an enigma to me, I always thought his character had a story to tell and honestly believed that the author probably wouldn't write it anyway. I am sooo happy to know I was wrong about this one because it is such a great story.
Tony Sinatra's life is the same every day (just think of the movie "Groundhog Day" and you will know what I mean LOL). Tony's long-time girlfriend didn't see him asking her to marry him, so she left moved away and found another man, and got married. But everyone thought Tony was just depressed about her moving on which he wasn't. Tony knew there was more to life for him but he didn't know how to achieve that.
Sam Carmichael is struggling to make ends meet for her and her son, working as a bartender at night isn't ideal being a single parent but she is raising her son to be incredibly responsible. It's just Sam and her son, they got each other but a terrible event happens at her job, and anything that could go wrong, does. Sam is caught up in the middle, fighting for the life of her son and her's, and at the end of her rope, someone totally unexpected shows up and changes everything.
Tony and Sam, are just that couple for me, from the moment that they meet, it has just been an amazing ride with these two. I am so glad that the author wrote this story because it is just so amazing. The last couple that I read was Teddy and Nikki (Book 2 "Teddy Sinatra 2: Her Protector"). I have read the last 2 books of their story. And honestly, I am looking for more Tony and Sam books Woot! Woot!
... When Tony Sinatra usually took his time to think and rethink situations. He did not know what it was about Samantha Carmichael but he just had this innate feeling that she was THE ONE. There was a reason why he had a ten-year relationship with his school teacher lady friend, she just was not the one for him, and she finally came to that conclusion too and ended their floundering relationship. Big Daddy and his brothers were against this relationship. It was not until Big Daddy saw Sam interact with Myles did his mind change. They realized that something else was going on. Who and why was someone hung up on getting rid of Sam? It took Uncle Mick to save the day and find out the truth.
My heart just broke for Tony when he prayed in the chapel. I cried big crocodile tears. That was so touching. Myles just won everybody's heart. He was a cute and wise kid beyond his years. He loved his mother and she loved him. They were all each other had. Now they have a big azz, crazy family
Mallory wrote another story that was full of drama suspense and action. It was about time Tony found him, someone to really love.
Wow, Tony finally found love at last. I was beginning to think that maybe he was gay. Sam is so good for him. She had her fair share of mistreatment and neglect by others. Now her and he son Myles found love and happiness together with Dr. Tony Sinatra😍🔥🙏. As usual Mallory Monroe did not disappoint.
I liked the story, but I wasn't completely sold on Tony and Sam's relationship or their sexual chemistry. Something was off or left out. It was ok. Not the best though. The one theme throughout a!most everyone of these stories is that almost every heroine is dirt poor and in need or rescuing from some calamity.
This is probably the best interracial romance book by Ms. Monroe that I've read in a couple of years - Tony and Sam reminded me of the other Sinatra's and Gabrini's couples that I fell in love with. They are my new favorite couple, on par with Tommy and Grace.
The book was well written with only a few grammatical errors that I almost overlooked. Still, those few errors kept me from rating it a five. Samantha was true to herself and Tony fell head over heels in love with her. They didn't immediately fall into bed with each even though you felt the sexual tension between them. The story was developed fully and gave you insight into who they were. The backstories for both really let you know who they were. You could feel the love that Sam had for her son, Myles and he for her. How could you not love Sam and Myles. I loved that Tony was faithful to his belief in God and wasn't ashamed to show it.
I absolutely loved Sam for Tony. I never liked the schoolteacher for him. Mick and Big Daddy gave you glimpses of why I loved them, and, they weren't just dropped in the story. They all fit their roles, and were all believable, even boring Brent.
It was delightful reading this book in one sitting. I'm ready to catch up on the other books that I've missed the last few months.
Wow! This absolutely captivating as well as heart-breaking, story had so many layers, it was like peeling back a toxic onion.
However, it also reminded us that there are few things more powerful than a mother's love. Samantha is a bartender trying to take care of her 8 year old son. When a deranged customer shoots up the bar, her son leaves the house to go see if his mom is ok. Unfortunately, the cops pick him up and turn him over to CPS. In the meantime, her "boss" accuses her of stealing four hundred thousand dollars and the reason for this is mind-blowing.
Arrested for something she didn't do, evicted, no food, no shelter, her sleazy neighbors steal all of her belongings and CPS won't return her son until she has a job and an apartment. Hello???? How is she suppose to do that? Magic???
Then along comes psychologist, Tony Sinatra and he's about to right all of the wrongs!!!
The bones of this book were good. One star. There's still so much beneath the surface that the author didn’t bring out about Tony. He likes to be n control. Why? 2 stars for making me think his character can be deeper than the others. He’s deeply connected to his faith. What made him this way? The author slid over his character but I gave 3 stars for her efforts in trying to make this a different story. Yes she fell back into some old habits with the dialogue and almost tried to turn Tony into Tommy but stopped short that’s 4 stars; the 5th star was for actually making me cry at one point in the story. yes there’s grammatical errors but not too bad. But there’s this savior complex thingie going on in her books that I don’t like. But it is fiction. Enjoy the book. Overall it’s a good story.
A Very Good and Inspirational Interracial Romantic Thriller
Tony Sinatra: If Loving You Is Wrong (The Rags to Romance Series Book 6) is a very good and inspirational interracial romantic thriller that earned a rating of five stars. I enjoyed reading Tony 's love story about how he met Samantha Carmichael, a single het met in prison . Sam was poor and struggling to take care of her eight old son working as a bartender at night. After a shooting at the bar Sam lost custody of her son for child neglect and later for embezzlement. Sam couldn't get a break until she sent to Tony to help her. Trying to help her Tony fell in love with her and she fell for him. Together they had to overcome deadly obstacles to find their happiness. I would recommend this book to everybody who enjoys reading very good romantic thrillers.
I am glad that Tony Sinatra and Samantha aka "Sam" got their HEA! I was wondering who it was that was attacking her and setting her up! She was trying to take care of her sweet little boy, Myles and she had so many hateful heathens against her! Dr. Tony Sinatra the psychologist and middle son of Big Daddy Sinatra aka Charles Sinatra (Mick the Tick's older brother) fell hard for her and believed in her when no one else did. This story got my heart all twisted up! This was a great story and I knew that once Uncle Mick got involved, we would get answers to our questions! Great story!
Waited a long time for Tony's story, he was always on the sidelines of the previous stories a little mysterious and intense. They initially seem like a seriously mismatched couple, life has dealt Sam serious obstacles join her life, incarcerated for a crime she didn't commit, separated from her child, its not surprising that she is suspicious of Tony's intentions given that everyone including his family think she's guilty. Love conquers all in this fast paced intense story.
I was waiting on Tony's story, but I wasn't sure what to expect. Like the character, Tony's story was different but good. Not better, just different. I liked how once he made up his mind he couldn't be moved and when pushed, he knew how to go Straight Sinatra. I liked Sam was down but not out. How she kept trying no matter. Resilient. This was typical MM but also not typical MM bc it was uniquely Tony's story who is the odd duck but his own man Sinatra child. I highly recommend this book!
It has been some time since I read about the Sinatra clan and I missed the great family dynamic and the overwhelming love they have for the women in their life. The writing flow easily and effortlessly. It is a page turner with no dull moments . The love making is passionate, sizzling hot,and intense. You will not be disappointed by selecting this book. You will love the ease in which the author is able to bring all the family members into every book. I loved this book.
I gave this a 5 star rating as I really got Tony. He has been single a long time. He has been there for his family through all their troubles and strife. He has been the family counsellor for the adults and sometimes the kids. Tony had his relationship with the school teacher (Dean of school) but he couldn't commit. He finally meets the one and she is seemingly on wrong side of law.
Sam is a mom struggling to get ahead with her young son, she is trying and then she is accused of stealing, without a shred of evidence to show she took money. She is held in county jail and Tony on a rotation of providing counselling for free is at jail to see inmates. He is fed up with lies being given by prisoners that they are always innocent of their crimes starts to get to him.
When Sam comes before him in a session he has instant connection to her, he doesn't understand why, but he does. He tries his best and listens her and helps to get Sam to see her son, he puts up the nail money and enrolls his sister in law Makehala to be her lawyer when it goes for trial. Tony sees someone for himself to have for keeps hopefully and doesn't want to mess it up. When Sam gets seriously hurt when she protected Tony from a shooting he shows his faith by praying for her, faith in action.
I am happy for Tony, he has finally found someone who gets him and she loves him, even when she knows his family background, of being Mafia, which doesn't scare her off.
Yippee!!!! Tony got his story. I've been waiting so long waiting for this and it was a good one. Too bad it looks like it will be one of the one hits. Donald hasn't been around much lately so I'm guessing his will be the next since he is the only one left.
I will be anxiously awaiting the next story for August. Love Mallory Monroe. Keep on doing what you do because You never disappoint me.
I have been waiting for Tony to get his own story. It was worth th wait. I really enjoyed Tony's and Samantha's vibe.
Tony has flashed in and out of other stories but to see he's as gangster as his family is. He seemed cynical and unhappy however he was insightful and felt deeply and kept his own counsel.
Read Ton and Sam's story and be swept away on a love story Sinatra style.
Phenomenal read! This author NEVER disappoints… from the beginning to end, the action is non stop… I have been following her for YEARS … I’m truly addicted to her books and wait eagerly for the next one to come out. This book was FANTASTIC! I wish I could rate it higher. I have NO RECOMMENDATIONS for this book… I just wish the next ones could come out sooner. Lol
I glad to see Tony finally find the woman to set his body on fire. He always was the calm, level headed one and it was good to see him with his emotions out of control. I was sorry not to read how Benita and Tony interaction with seeing how close they were and her meeting Sam. I love Myles and his concern for his mother and big daddy taking to him. Boys need good men in their lives and Tony is a very good man.
I have been waiting for Miss Munroe to write Tony's story. What a beautiful story. You did a fantastic job developing the characters and how they connect as a couple
I read this book in one sitting. It was a bomb Looking so forward to see future stories about Tony and Sam Keep up the great job Miss Monroe
I’ve waited a long time for Tony to get his book. I enjoyed it. I liked his lady love Samantha and her son Myles. I liked being reunited with Charles and the rest of the family. My only complaint is the author told a lot instead of showed the reader. I would have liked her to go deeper. But, overall still enjoyed it.
What a wonderful book! I have been waiting on Tony's book for years and I'm happy to say I was not disappointed! I thought Tony's book would be about him and the school teacher, but I was happy with his choice of Sam! If anybody needed a happy ending it was Sam, and I'm happy she found it with Tony! Great book and I can't wait til the next!
I have read all of Mallory Monroe’s books and loved everyone of them. But this book out of all the Sinatra children was my favorite. I have never gotten emotional or been brought to tears. I loved Sam and Tony. Keep writing more on the Sinatra and Gabrini family can’t get enough of them.
I like this book please finally wrote a book about the The other brother Tony I've ever remembering reading and that something forgot about Tony and I'm so glad it was good actually that you dropped like all of his books about that family and it was good I enjoyed the book I thought the book was excellent I couldn't put it down
I think this is my most favorite couple yet. Not to mention the best story. It had me truly feeling her emotions and I didn't figure out the plot before the ending!! Love Ms Monroe's books
This is another Sinatra story but not a mob one but a good mystery as always. This is a when elder dies everyone wants the money and would do whatever to vet it even kill family. So its a family story 🤔🤐
I have been waiting on Tony's story for a long time. Worth the wait. Love this story. Happy Uncle made a appearance. Tony is now my favorite. I love Sam. Big Daddy saw a different side of Tony 😂😂😂 Thank you for another good read.
Glad for Tony's story. Hopefully this will not be the end. But old Tone was a bad boy.. Also you had to like Sam reminds me of a lot of Black women not allowing the hard circumstances of our lives get us down. Only negative seemed a bit rushed at the end.
I'm so glad that Tony finally found love. Sam got her and her son a family. Big Daddy was on point as always glad Mike was in the mix keep writing I love your books
I love he found love and its more Big Daddy Sinatra life love, I hate that I don't remember Bobby Sinatra being married or having a steady girlfriend. And little Myles has a father and another grandfather . Tony going to be a good father.😍👨👩👦💋
A story with lots of action and a slow building mystery. I never would have guessed the reason for all of the chaos. I liked that the author kept me guessing. I used a lot of tissue while reading this story. A real tear jerker. A good read.
