Certain teachers don’t think I’ll make it that far. Training to become an all-powerful technomage requires control, and the magic has other ideas.
My problems have to wait when the semi-intelligent building goes berserk and a friend’s enchanted drawing gets blamed. It isn’t her fault, but the staff ignores the facts.
Something more sinister than rogue artwork lurks in the shadows. My friends and I might be misfits, but we’re the schools best chance. My plan is simple: track down the problem and fix it. “How” is the tricky part, the part likely to get me killed.
I’ll need lots of help to survive three semesters and get my powers under control. Luckily, my new friends have my back. But each of us has our own demons to slay. I'm just hoping we're all on the same team.

He huddled with Tolkien, Asimov, and all the greats and unknowns plucked from the drugstore shelves to spin tales of the imagination. After writing short stories in school, two degrees in computer science, and several decades as a Naval officer, Jim has returned to his first passion. He writes speculative fiction advocating the underdog and embracing protagonists with strong moral fiber, often overlaid with supernatural elements and a few dark twists. Jim lives in northwestern Pennsylvania with his wife, Claudia, and his muse, Marley the Great Dane.

Really Absorbing Story
The concept of a magical trade school hits me where I live. Abilities deserve to be channeled and a trade school is a place to do that. Great characters and good writing make this a pleasant read. Running the text through Grammarly would pick up the few errors. Make time to read these books and you won't regret it.

Entertaining
Can't rave but it was entertaining. Don't think I would read a sequel, but if I got desperate for reading material- as I commonly do... I might.
