The Billionaire and the Runaway Bride was a pretty cute book to dive into on this wonderful weekend. In it, you will meet Yuna and Declan. In some ways, this could be considered a second chance at love because they did meet at the airport but never really exchanged names or numbers.

So when they meet again, it's pretty obvious that they are curious about one another but their jobs come first. It does make things a bit easier with her being his new assistant because they can get closer to one another and feelings will grow. Which, yes, that is what exactly happened.

The one thing they don't consider? Yuna's family. Maybe I should backtrack to how they met at the airport. Yuna's brother is in charge of her finding Mr. Right and by that I mean Mr. Right of a merger marriage. What Yuna really wants is love and she fights this merger day and night. Her brother, a huge douche, does the one thing she never expects - cuts her off. So what does she do? Leave Korea like a boss ass bitch and heads on over to LA.

While at the airport, she runs into Declan and doesn't see him again until they are both in LA and she's being interviewed by him. They surprise one another while they get closer. Yuna does the opposite of what Declan thinks she will do in any situation. While Declan worms his way into her heart and shows her that someone can put her first. Until he doesn't.

Drama came and went. I ate it all up and I'm very happy with how things ended between everyone. I'm so happy I randomly picked this up on KU and look forward to Nadia's next book.

4.5 Stars (rounded up to 5.0)

I’ve been waiting forever, it seems, for Yuna Hae’s story, and THE BILLIONAIRE AND THE RUNAWAY BRIDE certainly didn’t disappoint. Yuna has been an important secondary character in numerous Nadia Lee books, and I so wanted her to have her HEA.

Strangely, however, the story ended up being more the hero’s than the heroine’s. Don’t misunderstand, I loved, loved, loved Yuna in this book, and my heart broke for her at the “black moment.” But…I also adored Declan (the hero), and I ached over his troubled back story and his complicated relationships with his family.

You see, while Yuna has always known she was loved by her family, Declan hasn’t since he was ten years old. That’s devastating for a child’s emotional development. So the journey to true love between the two was more complicated for Declan than for Yuna. My heart ached for him time and again as he struggled to understand the one and only thing Yuna wanted from him. It also broke when (no spoilers) a painful truth was revealed.

THE BILLIONAIRE AND THE RUNAWAY BRIDE was full of references to various pieces of classical music that necessitated visits to YouTube for me to hear them performed (although that’s certainly not necessary to follow the story). It also contained fascinating glimpses into upper echelon Korean life. Fortunately, the author included entertaining explanations beforehand as well as afterward (so as not to reveal any plot points).

A humorous and much appreciated thread ran through the book, the first time I can remember reading anything about this issue from a man’s perspective. While Yuna can (and does) eat whatever she wants, Declan (a model and an actor) is conscious about what he eats, worrying about the impact too many carbs might have on his physique. Refreshing! All too often it’s the heroine and not the hero worrying about it.

Characters from previous books make “guest” appearances, as usual, including Yuna’s mother, Lady Min, her soul sister, Ivy, and Ivy’s husband, Tony. All three are instrumental in one way or another in reuniting Yuna and Declan after their devastating “black moment” breakup.

Nadia Lee is incredibly talented at trailing tantalizing little breadcrumbs about characters for future stories. I can hardly wait to read more about Yuna’s brother, Eugene, and Declan’s best friend, Aiden—both future hero material.

Ms Lee also has a knack for telling a compelling story, and THE BILLIONAIRE AND THE RUNAWAY BRIDE is no exception. Bravo!

As an Asian woman I appreciated this story for featuring an Asian heroine. I was super excited when I found out that this story was going to be about Yuna, who has, up until this point, been an adorably hilarious and awesome sidekick/partner in crime to Ivy, Kim, and the whole gang. It's rare to see an Asian character portrayed authentically in books published for the English speaking market, but I knew that Nadia Lee would give Yuna an authentic voice.

However, while this had its very funny and cute moments, I couldn't say that I enjoyed it much because the heroine really acted like a spoiled teenager. It was all about her; what she felt and what she liked were the most important. And I feel like she really overreacted to one mistake that the hero made. I understood her point of view and how she believed he showed that he didn't care about he, but honestly. Who doesn't make mistakes sometimes? And it was literally the first one he'd made. I'm afraid for their HEA if that's how she reacts every time he does something wrong.

And as sweet as I found the hero, and surprisingly unaffected by his fame and fortune relatively speaking, I found him kind of shallow. The way that he kept expecting women to fall all over themselves constantly, how he expected the heroine to call him the next day after he deigned to give her his business card, the way he kept talking about how his good looks never failed to get the girl, all of it really spoke volumes. Like his character alone wasn't enough to attract a woman or something. Which was patently ridiculous since he was a hardworking and very kindhearted person.

I also didn't understand why he felt the need to keep on acting for financial security when he literally had billions in the bank. It didn't seem like he loved the acting or anything. And finally, I got tired of the heroine's endless descriptions of her clothes. All the name brand dropping, shopping, spa treatments, etc. just gave such a shallow impression. I'm not sure what I was expecting when the story featured a heroine from such an affluent background, but I guess I was hoping for something deeper. For someone who was looking for a man to love her for her, she sure loved a lot of materialistic things. To be honest, I don't think she would've been entirely happy if he couldn't have provided her with everything her heart desired and then loved her to boot.

Overall, I'm conflicted about this one. There were parts that I really liked: Yuna's relationships with all the ladies of the previous books, the mention of all those couples, and the epilogue were lovely. I skipped the intimate scenes, but the fact that the author didn't have them jumping into bed right away was great. I also really enjoyed the Korean food and all the classical music references. The fact that the hero didn't come across as a manho was also fantastic. Balancing this with the things that didn't quite work for me makes this a three star rating.

Yuna gets her HEA! I have been waiting for this book since I first met Yuna. Her heart is bigger than her family's wealth and she deserves every happiness. This book delivers in spades! Declan is exactly what Yuna deserves...he's warm, beautiful and cherishes her heart. I have never read a Nadia Lee book that I didn't love, this is no exception. It's wonderful and well worth your time.

Yuna takes care of all her friends and wants to find the kind of love they have. When she runs away to L.A. to show she can make it on her own, she meets Declan. They almost loose the love they find because of a mistake, but Declan is determined to prove his love for her. Yuna finally gets her HEA with a little help from her friends.

Love Yuna and Declan

This was so interesting. Not only because it was a good romance, but it was a great insight into another culture. I did feel bad about Eugene though. It’s like he turned his emotions off. I know that he was supposed to have a merger wife, but he didn’t even try to have what their parents found.
I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to everyone.

Not for me

I had high hopes for this book. However I started rooting for Yuma and Declan to break up and put me out of my misery. While their meet cure was great, their chemistry was totally forced. And boring. This story had a lot of potential but it fell very flat for me. There was a lot of eye rolling especially at the end.

Solid 4 Stars (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)

I have been waiting quite some time to hear about the amazing Yuna Hae and her crazy perfect love story - ever since I first discovered Ms. Lee’s books and read the Sins trilogy. I think I had my expectation bar set SO HIGH for this book, that at a few points in the story I found myself a little disappointed at times.

For those of you that are not familiar with one Yuna Hae, she is a very well-known Asian socialite. She was raised not wanting for anything, but also knew her worth as an individual. From a young age she was trained on the piano, being able to perfect pieces that are otherwise impossible to master. Yuna is the type of woman that loves with her whole heart, it’s quick witted, sometimes odd, yet would do anything for those she cares about.

The start of the book finds Yuna in a predicament. Her parents and brother Eugene (whom you will regard with a complete scowl every time you hear about) have been trying to marry off Yuna to 1 of 100 suitors they have picked for her. As I said, Yuna knows her worth, and does not want to marry for money but rather love. Ultimately, she wants someone that will put her first. When she tells her brother that she will no longer stand for this nonsense, he gives her an ultimatum. If she can obtain a job, and provide for herself he will no longer push the idea of an arranged marriage. He does this with the thought that his sister will fail remarkably. Yuna flies to the states and is welcomed by her friends (many who have become extended family members to her) and gets their advice on how to help her with her situation. She gets an interview as an assistant to a celebrity (one she actually meets earlier in the book while waiting for her flight to the US), whom she is 100% attracted to - and he likewise.

Declan Winters is used to getting any girl he wants to fall head over heels for him. He is a an actor/underwear model that is instantly captivated by Yuna when he first hears her playing a piano piece at the airport while on his way home to LA. He is attracted to her and after a quick talk finds that she is also heading to LA. He gives her his card with the intention that she will call him - but is surprised when she does not. It isn’t until he sees her again at her interview to be his assistant that he rediscovers this amazing woman that has not left his thoughts. He gives her the job and hopes that his charm will soon sway her into his arms.

The chemistry between the two was amazing. The bedroom scenes were fire. The banter - even better. I did feel however that Yuna was a bit harsh with Declan when it came to one incident toward the end of the book. It seemed that after the relationship between the two had been going so well and progressing in a positive manner, this one incident became an end all be all and ultimately made Yuna change her viewpoint on Declan. In my opinion it wasn’t completely fair; however in time the issue was resolved.

I was so happy to see Yuna finally find her happily ever after, but was yearning for MORE.. as I do with all Nadia Lee books. This is no way is a criticism; however by the end of her novels I am always wanting to know EVEN MORE about the main couple and what happiness they continue to have once the words “The End” cross the page. One of thIS books main ideas shows us that the family you choose is more important than the family you are dealt, and that you can always find happiness even after knowing pain. A wonderful read that I would recommend to all romance fans.

Since I began reading about Yuna as a secondary character in Nadia Lee's books, I have been desperate for her story. I also wondered how the author would craft her story, as I could hardly picture her in some sort of crisis. However, I was ridiculously happy to get her story, and pleased to have enjoyed it so much.

Yuna Hae could be described as a walking contradiction; she thinks logically, acts promptly but lives in the moment. She may come across as odd, initially, yet, her personality is one that shines through on every page she graces. It is clear that everyone she meets adores her - she is extremely selfless, and is always looking to make people happy. She is not easily coerced into anything, and she is quite resourceful, so when her brother makes it difficult for her to enjoy her life, she flees to L.A., planning to make him regret messing with her. On her way she meets, Declan Winters, and she is stunned that she could react to viscerally to a man whom she never met. She resolves to only concentrate on winning her bet with her brother and vows to ignore Declan.

Declan isn't exactly thrilled that the most captivating woman he has ever met turned him down, but he figures it all sorted itself out as she turns up to interview for his temporary assistant position. But as they work together, Yuna keeps surprising him. Soon, his heart gets involved in wanting Yuna as much as his body does. But he'll have to go through her family and their bodyguards first!

Nadia did not have to try to make me love Yuna in this book: I was sold on her from the first time I met her in The Billionaire's Claim: Obsession. Declan wasn't a hardship, either. I enjoyed every bit of his story, and liked the way Yuna's entry into his life showed him that while biological family may fail, the family you choose can help eradicate a lifetime of pain.

This is a winner from Nadia Lee. Full of domineering, but loving parents, a caring, supportive network of friends and a good dose of well-deserved vengeance topped with awesome chemistry, I wholeheartedly recommend this book.

FINALLY!! I have been counting down the days and waiting for Yunas story from the beginning. Back when she was the hilarious eccentric BFF of Ivy in the sins series. This book was everything we wanted and more. You get the dual POV and to see and hear from some of our fave characters.

Yunas hand is being forced. She is approaching 30 and the family wants her married off. But not just to anyone. They want a beneficial merger of international proportions fitting with their almost business Korean dynasty. So her brother freezes her accounts to help along her compliance with what they want. Tuna wants more. She wants love.

In a turn of events she bets her brother she can survive independently and hold a job without their funding. If she wins they will have to chill with the suitors and if she loses she will at least have to acknowledge the considered men.

Declan grew up opposite to the Korean dynasty wealth of yuna, but has managed to become successful of his own right. His billionaire status belies the heart of gold he has underneath it all. When his assistant needs off she is recommended by friends to help. And this begins the start of a beautiful relationship. They have dynamite chemistry that flies off the pages.

As per audial the book is filled with hilarious moments, moments when you want to cry (not sure from laughing so hard or what), definite steam and page turning craziness. Loved every second. Addicted from page one until the end.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book.

So glad Yuna got her HEA! Great book that I loved!

I've always loved Yuna in all the other books in the series, so I'm so glad to see her get her own book! She finally met her match with Declan, a model and an actor. They actually met in Korea when Yuna was playing the piano in the airport and Declan heard her, stopping him in his tracks. She played his favorite song, so after another, he asked her to play it for him again. She did, but then her flight was called, so she had to go. He knew they were both going to L.A., so he gave her his card and asked her to call him when they both got to L.A. Yuna stopped before getting on the plane and threw his card in the trash because she knew he was too handsome and their chemistry was too much. She had to go to L.A., get a job and prove to her family she could live on her own! Once she was in L.A. and staying with Liz and Tony, she had to find a job. Her friends helped her write a resume, even helped her find a job interview. When she showed up for the interview as an assistant, it was with none other than Declan. He was upset that Yuna hadn't called him, so when she told him she'd thrown his card away, Declan was upset. But Yuna got the job anyway, because Declan figured he could work on her. They're wildly attracted to each other! Yuna's looking for love! Has she finally found it? You need to read this wonderful, funny, quirky, sexy story for yourself! I promise it's worth the read! You won't want to put it down. I highly recommend this wonderful book!

At long last! We have been nagging for Yuna’s book for ever; Yuna of the “adult cream pies saga”.
Only Yuna’s brother would dare give our elegant Yuna Hae an ultimatum; being Yuna she grabs the challenge and runs across the world and back to the safety of friends. The universe lends a cheeky hand and not only does she land a job but meets up again with Declan Winters.
The gorgeous Declan that met her at the airport whilst she was playing his favourite music - only to have Yuna unbelievably toss his card! The longing in Yuna to have a relationship and be romanced by a man for herself has not diminished and she remains focused on not settling for less.
There is plenty of drama with Yuna’s family, the inimitable Lady Min, a greedy stepsister and yes, babies too; however, from the outset both Declan and Yuna are drawn to each other immediately and before long both are in it for ‘keeps’. “His joy is mine, as though our emotions are connected and communicated through some unseen bond between us”.
Being the romance of Yuna, with soul sister Ivy, the book is filled with music and beautiful references to it. Accompany this book with a playlist at the press of a button and you would have perfection; there is music in disagreements too.
This book is like the couple, striking with a superior dose of elan; Ms Lee delivers another romance that is five stars all the way. A satisfying read with a bonus of loads of cultural tid-bits.

Let's see...

First of all, Yuna was not technically a runaway bride, she just didn't want an arranged marriage. The groom had not even been selected either, so she was not a bride.

Yuna was a selfish, entitled, spoiled brat who literally wiped her hand with a disinfecting wipe after Declan touched her (wtf?), all because she was mad at him because he didn't do exactly what she wanted, when she wanted it. I think this was the point where I really started to get fed up with the whole story.

Yuna was a paradox, outspoken with perfect strangers, but totally spineless with her Mom. As you can probably surmise, I didn't really connect with the character.

Yuna and Declan's relationship was insta-love and there was not enough there to get me invested.

I actually liked Declan, he was sweet, albeit shallow. And as for the birthday present, Yuna never told him she couldn't drive, she actually said she had a license and thought a pink car would be awesome (or something to that effect). I was not really rooting for Declan and Yuna to reunite.

The book is 65 chapters long (!), at least 25 too many in my opinion, and I started skimming because I didn't care for all the excess, vanity, entitlement, etc. The last chapter was cute, though.

I have just got to say that I don't think I would last a day in Korea with all of those societal rules. I would probably unwittingly offend someone and be shunned for life.

I downloaded this book in July when it released. I was so excited to get Yuna's story. Then it got pushed down the TBR by ARCs and other books. I finally got to read it. Though many characters from other books appear in this book, it can be read as a standalone. It is written in first person from an alternating dual POV.

I wondered who Yuna would end up with but I never anticipated Declan. A billionaire on his own, famous for modeling and acting, he does not need anything from Yuna except her heart and her love. Yuna has been looking for a way out of an arranged marriage that her parents want. She wants a marriage based on love.

Declan and Yuna have chemistry galore. They form a friendship that becomes so much more. This book has humor and heat. I love Yuna and her friends. Declan grows a lot through this book. He learns what to prioritize in his life and I adore when he will do anything for Yuna.

This is not a quick read. (360 pages) There is a lot of Korean culture woven throughout the story. The author is kind enough to provide the reader with notes at the beginning and some additional notes at the end, which could have made spoilers. How the Korean culture influences Yuna's character and reactions was fascinating to me. Overall, I felt like the book tells a complete story that has depth and characters you need to find their HEA together.

Declan & Yuna

Dual POV. Standalone. Slow burn romantic comedy with enjoyable extras. Trigger warnings: H was the product of his married father's affair, his parents are now both deceased; ex-girlfriend, sibling, and family drama.

I've adored Yuna since The Sins Trilogy and I am so happy her story has now been published. Yuna is basically Korean royalty because of her family's international corporation and extraordinary wealth, she runs a charitable scholarship foundation for aspiring musicians, she's approaching her 30th birthday, and her family is pressuring her to marry. Her older (and only) brother has been tasked with helping her find a beneficial and appropriate husband so he freezes her financial accounts to get her to comply but Yuna refuses to be forced into a "merger marriage." Yuna wants a love match so she bets her brother that she can hold a job and be financially independent if she wins he has to back off, if she loses she has to at least consider the men her family suggests. Declan's life has not been one of privilege but he has turned things around and is now a successful model, actor and investor. When Declan's trusty personal assistant needs to take time off Declan is forced to hire a temporary assistant. Lucky for Declan Yuna's friends recommend her to Declan's assistant. This love story plays out beautifully and I want a friend like Yuna. JP

Our favorite “Soul Sister” & BFF Yuna is now having her story told. If her previous appearances were an indication, I knew readers were in for a treat. Yuna heads back to the U.S. on a mission to win her bet against her brother Eugene and among other things. Who better to assist succeed than her new boss Model & Actor Declan Winters? I don’t want to give away to others, but I will say you really get to learn more about Yuna beyond the surface. Then there is Declan who is much more than his appearance and career. I like their pairing because each brought out the best in one another. Yuna found a guy who couldn’t be scared off by her family wealth and overbearing tendencies. Declan found someone who actually appreciates what he offers as a person and not his fame and impressive bank account. They were a few bumps to their HEA including appearances from Declan’s Obsessive Ex-Girlfriend, Materialistic Half-Sister & Step Mother among other things. However, the couple did get their Happy Ever After.
I love all the classical pieces and Korean notes. It just added to Yuna’s story and I learned so much while reading.
Overall, I really like the story and it was worth the wait. I am patiently awaiting Devlin’s story.

We finally get Yuna's story. I've been waiting for this one and it lived up to all my expectations. It was so worth the wait for Yuna's story. I loved Yuna and Declan. I was sucked right into the story. These two had me gobbling up the pages to know what was going to happen. It made my heart so happy to see Yuna get treated right after always taking taking care of her friends. I loved catching up with them as well and seeing them enjoying their HEAs. I liked to getting to know another culture as well. It's really eye opening. Yuna's parents I loved. You can tell how much they love her. Yuna's life is thrown into a 180 with the ultimatum from her brother. I give Yuna props for standing up for herself and marrying for love. I really love the connection and intimacy of piano playing between Yuna and Declan. It's something so romantic between them. This book has plenty heart and humor along with the right amount of heat. I would so recommend this one! You're going to have a hard time putting it down.

Loved it.

Loved Yuna and Declans story. Now I want to binge read all the books in order because I had to keep searching the characters to remember their stories and for some reason I cannot remember Ivy and Tony's story.

I had my own taemong experience during my second pregnancy. My dream went like this...~ Walking down a stairwell with grocery bags in my hands, I walk into a familiar yet strange living room and have the urge to go to the restroom when a set of stalls (yes, like in public bathrooms) appears. I distinctly remember my mother and a strange man entering the home carrying bags as well. I enter one of the stalls and start peeing. Suddenly the toilet overflows, my mom asks what wrong. I tell her I cant stop peeing and its overflowing. She nonchalantly says, oh that just means your pregnant. ~ I woke up so confused and freaked of course. I took a pregnancy test right away and sure enough, I was at least 2 weeks pregnant. Several of my sisters have dreamt of their or another's pregnancy.

I love the cultural differences in the story.

Yuna is fed up with her brother and parents trying to set up dossiers on men they want her to marry. She’s so angry that her brother has cut off all of her finances until she picks one of the one hundred men. After leaving his office, Yuna goes home and packs and within 2 hours, she’s bound from Korea to LA. At 29 she should not be going thru this arrange marriage situation. Her brother told her is she gets a job and an apartment on her own, then he will release her finances back. With all her friends in LA, I’m sure they can help her find a job.

Declan’s assistant is going on vacation for two months and hires a temp to help while he’s gone. When he sees the beautiful Asian woman, he falls in lust. Now he’s happy His assistant will be gone for two whole months. Declan has never met anyone like Yuna. Since they are spending everyday together, their attraction grows. When her mother shows up unexpectedly, emotions get tense.

I loved this love story with the difference in cultures. This is s must read.

Yuna and Declan

When Yuna's parents decide it's time for her to get married, they have her brother take care of finding eligible men for her to date. With 100 dossiers of eligible men, he expects Yuna's to fall in line. When she doesn't, he cuts off her money and tells her to get a job. Yuna immediately moves to LA where a very pregnant Ivy puts out the word that Yuna needs a job.

At the same time superstar/model Declan's personal assistant starts his two month vacation and hires Yuna to take his place.

The latest installment in Nadia Lee's billionaire series brings best friend Yuna to the forefront. If you're read any of this series you already know and love Yuna for her loyalty to the groups and especially Ivy. The book is funny in places and touching in places. It is entertaining and easy to read. If you've read any of the series, you won't want to miss this addition. If you haven't, each book stands on its own.

Very enjoyable book and series. If you want to relax and not worry for a while, I recommend this series.

I love Yuna…

I love Yuna! Every book she seems generous and just a wonderful friend. I was so looking forward to her book. It was a bit of a let down. I liked Declan, but something about his character was missing. I actually think the part at the end should have been in the beginning… it would have made it epic. I kind of was annoyed how much Declan talked about himself. I also found Yuna’s family hard to like. I really didn’t understand why she got so mad about the party. The guy was a saint the whole time. I felt it made no sense why they didn’t tell her about the cake or that they suggested the pink car. I can’t imagine not giving someone I am in love with the benefit of the doubt. I did love his efforts at the end. I just felt Yuna’s story should have been eccentric, epic and a grand love story. It just kind of fell short for me. I’m glad she got her happily ever after.. she was my favorite side character, but she deserved a little more.

Interesting Premise, Bad Characters

I wish the characters in the book were more likable or more fleshed-out, since the premise was very interesting. The first couple of chapters were okay, and then it just started to unravel. The FMC was demanding and self-absorbed while the MMC had almost no personality.

The whole thing came to a head when he missed her 30th birthday party (which only lasted 2 hours?) because he was in a work meeting. Though, he did send her a present, a pink car, which was a horrible gift (according to everyone) because while she had a driver’s license she couldn’t drive.

Never mind her friends suggested the gift to him, and she never once told him she couldn’t drive and she talked about buying a pink car earlier. Of course, instead of discussing why she was upset like an adult, she just refuses to see or talk to him.

All in all, ultimately an empty book with barely any plot or character development.

wow

I really enjoyed this book. There were parts that definitely felt like a k drama! I don’t really understand why the woman on the cover is a red headed white woman when she’s supposed to be Korean but I digress. I really enjoyed all these characters. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I love how confident Yuna was in the face of all the dramatic women in Declan’s life. I appreciate that they both liked each other immediately. I wish that their make up hadn’t happened so quickly in terms of how serious Yuna had been taking it. But I appreciate getting to see Declan meet her family and them get their support. It was a great story. Full of banter and fun!

I loved the invisible string connection from twenty years prior!

I appreciate that right when I was wanting to know how Chantal took everything we found out that they’ve been arrested though I do wish we had gotten to see them spiral.

Would definitely read more about them!

totally relate to some of it

I totally loved and enjoyed this book. The story was fantastic, funny,it made me laugh out loud in places, I couldn't put it down. I have waited a long time for Juna story and I was not disappointed. Out of all the couple's (Juna friends) stories this is my favourite. Juna is strong, smart, sassy and loyal. Declan is funny,a little bit full of himself. The characters were amazing and the story line kept me hooked to the end. The author strikes a good balance between setting the main character in the context of her culture. Love reading about the extra cultural notes,I can totally relate to some of it. Love to read more bonus epilogue on Yuna and Declan,or better yet a novella featuring more of Yuna,Declan, and Yuna family. Highly recommended this book.

Interwoven Paths

Yuna has always been a fun and truly loyal character in the stories of her friends. She’s amazing in her own story with Declan. Unwilling to settle for less and real love, Yuna rejects the idea of picking a dossier guy from her parents’ stack of 100. When pressed by her brother to pick of be cut off, she chooses to be cut off. She makes a bet that she can get a job and support herself and she runs to LA, to the bosom of her besties to do just that. It can’t be harder than some of the music she learned to play flawlessly, can it?
When she ends up temping as Declan’s assistant after their paths crossed at the airport in Seoul, she gets way more than she bargained for. But is it really love? And will it last?
This was a wonderful story of a strong woman determined to find her own way in love, and the successful underwear model who just might the one.

I have been patiently waiting for Yuna's love story. Nadia Lee did not disappoint. Declan was a perfect match for the spitfire that is Yuna Hae.

Yuna has to get married; it's her family obligation. However, she isn't interested in marrying a man with a dossier. She wants to marry for love. She escapes to LA to hang out with Ivy, Tony, Evie, Nate, Court, Pascal, Jo, and Edgar. She gets a temp job working for model/actor Declan Winters. Declan and Yuna hit it off from the start. Unfortunately, her family is not too pleased.

Nadia Lee is excellent at intertwining her stories. I love that I can continue following my favorite characters from previous books. I get to see more of their HEA, while reading about another character's HEA.
