To be blunt and honest; before reading this book i considered Skye Alexander to be too Wicca-y of an author for my liking. Nothing wrong with practicing Wicca, it's just isn't related to my practice and thus i tended to avoid her work altogether.

Contrary to my impression of the author, i am thoroughly impressed with this book; while not the most in-depth source out there, but it is a good starter to include astrological transits into your craft.
It draws from a wealth of sources linked in the bibliography section, including authors like Judy Hall who are well known in the witch community.

I paid almost 15 bucks for it, and consider this a very good deal. Especially worthy for beginner witches who consider astrology or celestial magic.

Needs more astrology information vs just basic magic knowledge

Low quality read with information you can easily have google fetch for you. Some areas are completely outdated and littered with problems. Not to mention, the author herself has said some very very problematic things in the past, that can easily affect her work. Alexander creates many beginner oriented books and spellbooks, though they are littered with misinformation and fetishizations of non-European cultures. She goes to compare mythical creatures to Lolitas and perpetuates the “Burning Times” as an event that killed millions (which we now know is not true), more issues brought up with Sky was belittling systematic racism to claim witches are oppressed, and promotes harmful stereotypes across various practices.

Now these are issues I’ve mainly see in her spell books which are also just in general, very low quality and almost fantasy, recommending the reader summon a ‘parking goddess’ to find a free parking spot (which exaggerates magick and also promotes negative ideals of deity work)

The reason I want to bring this up is because it goes to show her actual integrities as an author, and why its better to support other creators in regards to astrology books.

The book covers a lot of the basic information's of astrology connected to witchcraft which i thought was really helpful. I really want to dive more into astrology now

I think this book might be useful if it’s your first book about astrology and/or magick, but other than that it’s just the basic building blocks of both without much more.

Ich habe erwartet, ein Buch zu lesen lediglich über Astrologie. Stattdessen bietet die Autorin einen Einblick in das Hexentum, in deren Wissen und Tradition. Dies gelingt ihr auch sehr gut, dennoch ist der Titel sehr missverständlich und ich habe ein Werk lediglich über Sterne, Sternbilder, etc und ihre Magie erwartet. Darüber hinaus hätten die Infos über genau dieses Gebiet auch gerne mehr sein können, ich habe gefühlt kaum etwas dazu gelernt, wurde gleichzeitig auch noch mit viel Basic Wissen über Witchcraft zugeballert. Nicht zu empfehlen...
