I've been eager to get my hand on Finn' book since the moment I found out it would have been an arranged marriage kind of story.
But then Dani made it more appealing saying it would have been an MMF.
Now, I love, like really LOVE, this kind of ménage because I find them more "complete" if it makes sense.
But for me something miss in Finn, Jarred and Zaira' story.
Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the story and couldn’t stop reading because Dani' writing style is captivating, yet there was this lingering feeling that something was off.
If you read the previous chapters of the Thornes & Roses series, you should know by now Finn.
He has always been the playboy, the party boy, when in reality he is as broken as his brothers were.
But it seems he actually had someone who he could be himself with, someone he cares deeply about ... Jarred.
And this arranged marriage could destroy everything. Zaira, the soon-to-be wife could ruin everything.
I didn’t expect the relationship between Finn and Jarred, not in the way the author portrayed it.
It was impossible to guess from the previous books.
But it became the thing I loved the most about this book.
The connection, the love, the passion between these two men was so damn powerful and meaningful and heartbreaking.
And that's also the problem, because I didn’t feel the same about Finn & Zaira, or Jarred & Zaira, or Finn,Jarred & Zaira for the matter.
The clicking between the three of them was to immediate; I didn’t really see their affection growning.
Maybe because there was too much at stake with so many secrets and power games....
So even if MMF are my favorite, this is one of the times I would have preferred an MM.
In the way I see it what really bond Finn, Jarred and Zaira together is pain.
There’s so much suffering in these characters, it made my heart heavy at the beginning.
And obviously the s€x scenes are really hot 🥵🥵🔥🔥
No matter what, A Death to Seek is a great ending for a series i really loved. And i'm really thankful for the long epilogue because it was amazing see again Damien, Nesrin, Cass and Kalyn 😍
